In 2019 when we were reviewing Senior living communities with my mom, we came across Balfour Lavender Farms. What a blessing it has been! It feels like an upscale residence even when approaching it from down the road. I’ve heard Balfour say they are in the hospitality business that just so happens to focus on seniors and it really shows. The staff at Lavender Farms led by Executive director, Richard Conklin, truly go above and beyond to ensure our mom feels at home and safe. This past year through COVID, they bent over backwards to protect mom and her neighbors and still kept a cheerful and creative attitude and kept residents and families informed every step of the way.Richard is an extra special leader which just puts the already great Lavender Farms so over the top in every way. He puts his heart and soul into creating a STRONG team with residents, staff, and families to ensure our loved one’s lives can be filled with rich, meaningful relationships and experiences. My mom absolutely loves him too! Moving to senior living wasn’t an easy transition for mom — she didn’t want to do it. The first few months she was looking for alternatives to move back into her own place, but if you were to ask her now if she wants to leave her current home she is appalled. She wouldn’t hear of it! She is too busy in her daily activities, too involved with her friends, and loves the staff too much to think of going anywhere else. That is just what I was hoping for when we started this journey in 2019! I whole heartily recommend Lavender Farms to anyone looking for a wonderful Senior community!

Balfour is a Godsend. If there is a will, theyll pave the way. From the initial call to the move in the staff is thorough, kind and truly cared to care. If they didnt have it, they knew qho to call. The staff seems happy and well treated.

Service! Service! Service! The staff, from maintenance to dining, have poured their hearts into their duties at Lavender Farms. During the rough times, they have shown up to work with smiles on their faces. I commend the team for their outstanding job, the community appreciates you!
