I was worried about the living conditions for my brother and sister in law. But, when we visited, there's absolutely nothing to ponder over. It's a beautiful place, and the people are so friendly. My brother and sister in law have everything they need right there. They're spoiled! Makes my heart happy to know theyre ok. Thank you to the staff for doing such a wonderful job with the elderly!

This is a community that cares about the well being of your loved ones. Everyone (residents and staff alike) are so kind, genuine and helpful. The food is excellent with 3 included meals per day + 24/7 available snacks. The rooms are spacious and well maintained with weekly housekeeping. There are daily activities for a variety of interests from movie nights to live music to bingo to walking clubs. Best of all, the entire community is pet friendly. 10/10 with my family’s experience at The Courtyard at Lakewood.

Me and my Disabled Brother Jerry moved here January 5., 2026 Stephanie Peterson is the Manager and she was our Blessing she Approved us to be able to move here ? The Staff and Housekeeping Daisy and Shelley are So Efficient and Kind and Accommodating to us . All the staff here at Courtyard have ALWAYS treated us and Everyone that lives here with the upmost Respect and Compassion and Kindness!!!! Paul the Chef and his Kitchen Staff and Servers also treat Everyone with Respect and Kindness!!! We Love them all !!! We Love it here but due to Raising Rents every Year We are Moving to a more Affordable Apt Living and in an area closer to my Church and it’s More Affordable? We are going to miss them all !! Courtyard has been a Blessing to Myself and My Brother Jerry !!! If your Looking for a place for your Loved one to Live I recommend Courtyard at Lakewood !!

This is a warm welcoming community. Both staff and residents are helpful, friendly, and work at remembering your name. It is pet friendly and I mean FRIENDLY. There are many activities to choose from. I love my apartment and the freedom to be both active and safe. I love being surrounded with grass, trees and flowers.

I have never been to a residential living that is so family oriented. Welcoming any culture into their community. I could see why my grandmother fell in love with this community. The staff is so nice and welcoming with great smiles. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

The Courtyard at Lakewood provides a safe, quiet and pleasant social environment, especially during meal hours. The staff and residents are friendly and there are many opportunities for community involvement and social interaction. The grounds are well maintained and I often see residents and people from the surrounding community enjoying outdoor activities such as walking dogs and jogging in the block surrounding the facility. After visiting several potential independent living communities in the area, I chose to live at the Courtyard since it was clearly the best value when comparing amenities and rental rates.

I have lived here since August 2017! I had been living in Aurora but my son and I decided that I shouldn't live by myself. We looked for a senior place and found the Courtyard at Lakewood. I love it here. I have made so many friends and there are so many things to do. I enjoy bingo, rummikub, and the activities director, Glory, is always coordinating activities and crafts. They are so much fun! I love going to the dining room for all my meals. I don't have to cook or clean up the kitchen! Movie nights are fun. Glory schedules great entertainers every month, especially if there is a holiday. Families even come out to enjoy that with us. I enjoy all of the staff. They are always helpful and encourage us to enjoy our community. I have everything I need here, even a reasonably priced general store. I told my son in Jersey that I will never move from here, even though he wants me to. I love it here.

My mother has been here for 3 months. So far, she likes it pretty well. Part of the services provided to her have to do with cleaning her apt. once a week. Most times the cleaning people do not show up as expected. Additionally I was of the understanding that that the welcoming crew would be involving her...in at least a mild level in activities. This has never happened. We make efforts to encourage Mom to become involved in activities. It would help if there were others there that approached her about being involved. So, based on the services that are included in living there, the largest being the cleaning and resident involvement. My rating is 3 stars. I'll upgrade it if I see improvement.
