Every senior citizen should consider and plan for the last season of their life. We have chosen to make our own decisions rather than our children being forced to make them for us. We also do not want to be a burden in their lives. For all of these reasons we explored continuing care communities in the Denver area where our children live. We have chosen Vi and we can say it is above our expectations in every way. Vi provides all of our interest such as exercise classes, gym, Bible studies, book clubs, painting classes, intellectual and cultural stimulating activities. The various dining options work perfectly for our lifestyle depending on the day. Above all, we have made wonderful friends and the staff here is like family and friends. Vi is the only type A Continuing care community in Denver. We do not have to worry at all about our future. What a joy and a relief! Rosalind and Hal Cook

Three years ago, my wife Alice and I moved to Vi at Highlands Ranch from our wonderful home in Golden’s oldest historic district. When we moved, Alice was in her early seventies and I in my late.We were very familiar with Vi because my mother spent the last ten years of her life at Vi at Greyhawk in Scottsdale Arizona, then called “Classic Residence by Hyatt”. So we already knew that Vi represents the CLASS of the Type A continuing care retirement communities.The decision to move was easy once I realized that it was inevitable - just a matter of timing. And the risks were all in favor of allowing Vi to protect our long-term health and wellness.Our experience here has done nothing but confirm my Mom’s experience. Vi ensured that our move from Golden was seamless. The community here has been warm and welcoming – both staff and residents. The facilities are first-rate. And we were delighted to find a wide variety of activities to keep us stimulated – both physically and intellectually. I am a relentless bicycle rider and I keep my bike on a bike rack in the indoor garage near where our car is valet-parked. Alice is as relentless a walker as I am biker and she regularly walks miles on the paths connecting to Vi or takes a short drive to the Highline Canal.Alice and I both contribute to the community by serving on resident committees - me on the Finance Committee and Alice on Health andWellness.Vii made the pandemic experience tolerable, delivering meals to our door daily and confirmed the value and importance of the services Vi provides. Vi organizes online activities, including physical activities like Yoga and Tai Chi, as well as intellectual, such as the Active Minds and Great Decisions. And, of course, Vi organized the early on-site vaccination of its entire community, both residents and staff, so that we could safely return to safe on-site restaurant dining and in-person activities.

I have lived at Vi Highlands Ranch since May 2013. One of the best decisions that I ever made. Wonderful units, caring staff, great food. Ive had several occasions to rehab at our Care Center from major surgery. They are fantastic. So blessed to live here.

My wife and I are very glad that we chose Vi at Highlands Ranch as our retirement community. Its the perfect place to enjoy 5-star dining, make new friends, stay active, and enjoy the view of the Rocky Mountains from your balcony. When we decided to move to Vi, we were relieved to end the drudgery of maintaining a house. We moved 3 years ago from the Seattle area to Vi (in its pleasant suburb just south of Denver). The area is full of nearby excellent shopping and attractive destinations for visits. During the covid year of 2020, the Vi staff went out of their way to provide additional activities that could be enjoyed inside our Vi apartment -- either online or on our internal TV network -- to make the days enjoyable. And the staff arranged vaccinations very early in 2021 for any of us who wanted. Virtually all of us chose to participate. A 5-star executive chef provides delicious meals and lots of choices for each meal. And, during normal times, the Dining Room is the perfect place for a relaxing meal, choice of wines and beverages, and for meeting new people and making new friends. Activities (walking, biking, outings, concerts, stimulating live speakers, and more) are abundant. Whats not to like!

My husband and I have lived at the Vi for almost 2 years. I read a previous review about the restrictions being so limiting. All within Tri-County regulations. Unlike other Nursing home situations, our extended care has had very few Covid-19 cases. We are in independent living. The service is truly excellent. The menu for take out is extensive and varied with weekly and daily specials. Filet mignon is on the standing menu! There are more choices and substitutions than almost any restaurant. Chef engages weekly with residents to hear comments and suggestions. The Activities Department is truly creative and continually coming up with things to do that are fun and no risk. There are great walks on the grounds and a wonderful gully-moraine adjacent. There is a community garden with varying sized allocations. We have clubs and informal groups and a library with ever changing resources. Each unit is totally refreshed for new residents. Before you choose a senior living facility, it is truly important to list ALL of your monthly costs and maintenance plans. We did and found we are SAVING money living here. It is not just the services, but the appliance maintenance too. The washer dryer in our unit was replaced in 24 hours with a fabulous LG pair. The staff really care and like to know you personally. Our daughters did the tour at several places and campaigned heavily for Vi--we agree, best choice. We love the smaller community.

Most wonderful place. I moved in just before COVID. I am so grateful to be here. The entire staff takes such wonderful care of us! Starting with Nicole and Bethany on the sales team, thru the move. Getting settled was so easy. Eveyone is here to help you. People are so friendly. I cant forget how wonderful Chef is. His food is fantastic. We have lots of activities and special events. Some are on zoom now. However, we still have the pool, work out and lots of classes. Vi is 5 star all the wayI love to walk outseide around our beautiful grounds.

My mother has lived here for 4 years and it was really good in the beginning. My only question is why when you pull up to let a 89 year old out no one is there to help her. When she first moved in there was always someone to help her out and to help with groceries and etc. A week ago I pulled up and then two men just sat on their butts and just stared at us. Not acceptable.

I visit the Vi at least an hour a week and Ive never seen a happier group of people! I cant go down any hallway without a staff member smiling and greeting me. The respect and incredible treatment the residents receive here is reflected in their demeanor-always smiling, always happy, always eager to spread some cheer. An absolutely beautiful community and VERY highly recommended!

I love working for Vi at Highlands Ranch! I have been with this company for over 4 years now and I could not be more happy. I jumped jobs for a few years trying to find the right fit and Vi took a chance on me. I am so grateful for this company that has given me the opportunity to grow personally and professionally. The work is incredibly rewarding and makes me proud to go to work every day. I love the interaction I have with our residents and the relationships that I have built with them. It is like a big family. Now, as with any family, it comes with challenges and I will be the first to admit that we are not perfect. What I love about the company is the willingness to be open about our imperfections and our opportunities to make improvements. We are constantly asking our staff how to make things better and value their ideas and input. I have personally worked with our leadership team and managers that want to know what they can do better. They listen to the feedback (even when it is hard or not fun to hear) and work with their team to make changes. Finally, I love my team members! Every department has amazing people and each person brings something different to the table. I plan on being with this company for a very long time because I believe that the work I do makes a difference and I am personally part of something bigger than me. The job jumping stopped here!

We spent a lot of time talking to the director of the Vi at Highlands Ranch. He was very nice. We like this community a lot, but we couldn't afford it because it was too expensive. Nevertheless, it was like a country club. We saw a 1-bedroom and it was great. The staff was wonderful too. They were very helpful and very informative. They have a swimming pool. They take people out on trips and they have lots of clubs.
