This is more like an assisted living. Residents that can't take care of themselves are neglected.

I just moved my mom, who has had dementia for years, into the Aspen Community which is the memory care unit. She was in medical rehab for a stroke on another hall for the first 3.5 weeks. I can't say enough good things about every single person I've met at La Villa Grande. They are kind and compassionate to the residents as well as family members. Carolyn, the social services director, was a tremendous help and support trying to navigate this life change for my mom. Mandi, on the medical rehab hall, stopped everything she was doing to listen to me every time I showed up at her desk. Becky in memory care has been wonderful. Can't forget Greg and Brenda in physical therapy. My mom was back to her physical baseline in no time. I'm so grateful to EVERYONE there.

Unfortunately there are no private rooms with one bed. September 15 9:30PM Just left the facility. One CNA and one RN for 43 clients. Pray for no real emergencies. Or, God forbid, someone falls out of bed that is immobile.

My father was there for 3 months before he passed away. No one could have taken better care of him. Becky, and the rest of the memory care team have very difficult jobs, and are truly the best at what they do. Thank you for taking such good care of my Dad!

I have worked at La Villa Grande Care Center for nine years now. Having had the chance to explore other facilities before starting my career, I knew this was where I wanted to be. I started as a floor nurse working night shift and did this for five years, this is where I found a fondness and a passion for caring for our patients with Alzheimer's Disease and other Dementias. I have now been a part of our management and interdisciplinary team for four years as our Memory Care Director and Restorative Nursing Coordinator. I have enjoyed many opportunities over the years to watch this facility change and grow and have felt blessed to be able to be a part of it as I experienced my own professional growth along with it.

I am the transportation and scheduling coordinator at La Villa Grande and I love my job!! Especially coming in to all the residents happy smiling face each morning . Then to top it off the staff as well welcoming you and saying good morning. We have such a great team here and it shows every department makes this a Stellar Living Facility!! I hold all my residents to the highest level of respect, and care for them each as there own individual. Lets face it not one of us are the same. When you give someone that it becomes remarkable. I am so proud to be part of this amazing family.

I currently work at LaVilla Grande as a Certified Nurse Assistant, in our Memory Care unit. I have enjoyed all 9 years of working here. All of our residents here at LaVilla are cared for with respect, and dignity. I enjoy the atmosphere of team work, and the building of close relationships with our elderly residents. Our nursing staff are very knowledgeable,and are caring in the care we provide for every resident with different levels of care, our dietary staff are pleasant, and provide residents with nutritional food , the housekeeping and environmental service staff ensures that our residents have a clean, and safe home, to enjoy, our business and front office staff are there to answer any questions residents or staff may have. I would recommend LaVilla Grande for my family, also for yours.

It's hard to choose a nursing home for your mother and it's difficult to make that transition for both you and your loved one. Even during a difficult time, La Villa staff made it an easy one. I learned a long time ago that when the person at the top (the Director Bob) is nice, it filters down through the organization. Lisa who does intake, Moe who greets you when you arrive at the facility, Beth who does activities and keeps residents happy, busy and engaged in life, the staff who prepare great meals, Nursing staff like Brody, Russell, and countless others who are too many to mention, along with CNA's, and those who keep the facility spotless; these are the people who care for my mother. Crystal, who does transportation, takes mom to her appointments and keeps me in the loop of her doctors and providers. My mom has been a resident at La Villa since April and every day she receives the very best of care. Whenever I have a concern the staff is "on it" and I'm contacted and kept in the loop of her cared 100%. I have a quarterly meeting with the team that cares for her to let me know how she's doing and I'm always updated. Most of all my mother is happy. She loves every person at La Villa and the part they play in her wellbeing. They treat her with dignity, respect and show they care about her every day. She laughs with her caregivers who have a sense of humor and she has made friends with residents there that she looks forward to spending time with. To the La Villa Grande Care Center Staff: I can't thank you enough for all you do - each and every one of you do a great job caring for your residents. Your kindness is greatly appreciated. This is the 4th care center we have had my grandmother in. It has been by far the best one yet. The facility is kept very clean and pleasant. Brody Stevenson has been very helpful with all our questions and concerns. He is always willing to answer all the question me and my family may have.

La Villa Grande and staff are attentive and caring. I really appreciate them as a local provider when I have needs for my patients or questions, they are always helpful. Not only as a provider, I have a personal connection to La Villa, they cared for both of my parents and gave them both dignity at that stage in their lives. Thank you La Villa Grande for providing exceptional care to this vulnerable population, you're meeting a need that is rarely met in Grand Junction.

Staff are always friendly and just really love the residents they have the privilege to care for! The building is clean and smells nice. They have amazing activities to choose from that challenge and inform the residents. They get tasty meals and lots of snacks. LaVilla Grande is a good place to live!

I work at La Villa currently, and I brought in an electrician recently who stated it was such a positive atmosphere, compared with other facilities he visits, and I agree. The residents appear happy and there are lots of activities they can participate in. The CNA's and nurses are friendly and helpful, and the facility is clean and organized. I highly recommend taking a tour and seeing it for yourself.

I visited three times. On each visit staff was engaged and friendly, facility was extremely clean and bright, and I observed many residents moving about as able and involved in activities or meals. Lisa Smith, Admissions, was very caring and patient with my questions and understanding of my mother's needs. I would be very happy for my mother to live here.
