As our fathers dementia advanced, we knew he was not receiving the support needed in Phoenix. After a long discussion and search, we decided to move him from Arizona to western Colorado for better care and to be closer to family. We read websites and reviews (like this one). Family visited facilities in a limited way (because of Covid-19). We spoke on the phone to people at these various care centers, and then had to rely on intuition and hope in order to make a decision. We chose to trust the staff at Aspen Ridge. Right from our initial contact, their focus had been on our father. Family members were interviewed so the staff could learn more about Dad: his roots, his work, his joys. They were focused on how best to help him in the present by being aware of who he was in the past. Its a wonderful formula that works very well in providing assistance and direction during his life today. He has looked much better in the months since we made the move. Hes more alert and well groomed. Theres a sparkle in his eyes. Dementia is a rough ride. There are good times and some not so good. But we are very happy our father is supported throughout his journey with the caring and helpful team at Aspen Ridge. It was the best choice we could have made for him. Korkowski Family

I find the facility very clean and has great views. I like the layout so residents can walk without coming to the end of a hall. The staff has been very helpful and keeps me informed of my loved one and her needs.

I was asked by my boss Nikki to leave a review. I started working at Aspen ridge about 4 months ago. I am the activity assistant. I think our activity department is really great, I enjoy working at this facility. It is an honor and privilege to be a part of our elders life at this stage, and I would recommend Aspen ridge for anyone considering an Alzheimers care facility.

I cant speak highly enough of the care at Aspen Ridge. From the the first moment, the level of care exceeded any of the other facilities where my father had been previously. No matter who I spoke with, they always knew where Dad was and what he was up to. They kept him active and did not allow him to wither away forgotten in the corner. When end of life came, staff members were known to come in on their day off the check on Dad. It felt like family. You wont be disappointed with the care your loved one will receive.

After all the watching, worrying, testing and ultimate diagnosis of dementia, the decision to place a parent in a memory care facility is heart wrenching! The process of selecting a place brings on another level of concern, maybe even a bit of fear. We read reviews, met with staff, asked loads of questions and toured a variety of facilities. Finally, in February of 2017, we transitioned Rosalie to Aspen Ridge in Grand Junction. While we will always wish things were different - that perhaps we could care for her in our own home - we know we made the best decision. Aspen Ridge is beautiful. Their Meaningful Moments philosophy is reflected by honoring each resident with a personal storyboards outside their rooms. Staff treats everyone with respect, dignity and the kind of love given a family member. We visit often. We have become observers of patience, grace, kindness, love, generosity of heart, adaptability, compassion and joy. We are grateful for so many loving caregivers in such a beautifully designed and well-maintained facility in such a beautiful location. It gives us peace knowing Rosalie is safe and well cared for. I have been a nurse for almost 26 years and most of my experience has been in Assisted Living and Memory Care facilities. I have seen both good and bad facilities and I have seen EXCELLENT, which is the category that Aspen Ridge is placed. The residents here are engaged and happy! Their needs are met by trained staff who are able to take the time to meet every need emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Each residents life story is important at Aspen Ridge and is incorporated in their daily interactions, allowing them to have quality interactions and meaning to their lives. Each Residents medical needs are attended to immediately by a highly trained nursing staff, and families are always in the loop regarding their loved ones care. I cannot say enough praise to Aspen Ridge for their dedication to excellence in resident care.
