My mother lived here after hip surgery because home was no longer safe or navigable. Over her 18 months she declined into dementia and aphasia which is not the responsibility of The Winslow staff, but they helped mom and kept my sister and me up-to-date (we live out of town). They ultimately helped us make the decision to move mom to a place more suited to her declining state. I cannot say enough about the whole staff, but especially Chelsea, Ryan, and Destiney — wonderful, attentive, friendly, helpful people.

My father have been a resident for more than three years. He loves the place. His apartment along with several others on his side of the building have windows that failed. From the inside, it appears like he's living in a steam room. The tenants spend a lot of time in their units and it's unfortunate they have to look out through the haze.

I truly believe that if you have a loved one that you just CANNOT have them live with you but you want them to have a wonderful community experience in the last part of their lives, I would most definitely look into one of the facilities in the area. I have worked as a CNA in a lot of all these facilities ( 12+ years) so my advice to you is to check out all of them as each one has their own unique personality and activities.

If you are looking for an independent living apartment for your loved one, visit the Winslow. My mom has lived there for a year, we have not once met any staff that was not extremely sweet and kind to all the residence. Stefanie, Kristen, Cooper, Rhea and the entire housekeeping staff and front desk staff are the BEST! 5 STARS are not enough!

Stefanie is the best! This independent living facility is by far the best place I have ever had the pleasure of working with and for. Never have I had an opportunity to honestly say that I have a great support group in a working environment.
