The best care Mom could have had. When I was diagnosed with cancer and Mom's dementia went off the rails, this was the place we'd talked about before her mind left her. Through her year there she was safe, happy, cared for, loved, and had dignity. sometimes she thought she was at boarding school or college. She passed after only a year there, but I would not change a thing. Tammy is an angel, too.

I have been the Executive Director for MorningStar Assisted Living of Fort Collins soon to be 6 years and employed for 8 years. Our community has a homelike environment which sets us aside from others. There is no other place I would rather be! It is a great place for our valued seniors to live.

I chose this facility for my loved one because it was beautiful, clean and felt like home. My family member reports the food is delicious. I would love to share a meal with him, but due to Covid it has not been available. I am very disappointed in the communication between the administration, staff and myself. My family member has been in the facility for three months. If it were not for my private phy,sician's medical team that visits my family member, I would be totally uninformed. The concierge is on the phone full-time and is unable to open the front door for guests. When the door is finally opened, I am typically reprimanded because some rule was not followed that I did not know existed. I dread entering the building. I fully understand covid has been challenging for medical facilities, however all the more reason communications should be excellent. I have received two emails from administration regarding Covid updates , however this information changes day to day. MorningStar needs an employee who has the time and skill to: send an email to families when rules change , to vit questions, and follow through to get answers from administration and staff. Like all relationships communication is key. I look forward to a time when communication between families and the entire MorningStar staff is a priority.

Former employee who worked there since the start got fired for last unexcused absence when i had no clue i was on a final wasnt told i was on my final write up. Im EXTREMELY crushed as i was devoted to my memory care residents and loved them like my own family. I felt this was blind sided and im shocked as is so many others as there is still employees their that dont genuinely care and bash other staff and residents. Im sad to not be in my residents lifes anymore.Very dissapointed in the lack of professionalism when it comes to ED Mary Coleman no respect for staff and lack of empathy to staff. Only saw her on memory care when state was about to come or home office she always said memory care was her passion yet she was never around unless her boss was coming.

Wonderful staff. They work as a team and genuinely enjoy and respect each other and especially the residents. Caregivers, front desk, van driver, nurse... All so accommodating . As soon as you move in, you and your loved one are part of a caring family. Great environment. It's such a positive , fresh atmosphere. Beautiful, cozy decor and outdoor courtyard. Always great activities ( Bingo, sing alongs, piano concerts, movies) Very personal care. Residents are treated like individuals, like they are special and staff knows their residents so well. Morningstar is the perfect name for this facility. "Love one another as I have loved you."

Everyone at Morningstar made my mom feel so welcomed and secure. Within just a few days her fears and concerns about leaving her home and moving into assisted living had nearly vanished. She has been there for over nine months now and tells everyone that she has yet to have a bad meal. I highly recommend not only the warm and inviting atmosphere of the common areas and the apartments in the building, but also the compassionate and loving staff that make it a fun place to live. It has now been 2 years since my mom started living at Morningstar and we are still thrilled with our decision to move her there. Everything I said above continues to be true and she loves all of the events and activities there. To quote my mom, "If you cannot stay in your home, Morningstar is a wonderful place to live!"

My husband and I chose to move to MorningStar together in August 2016, and we are very thankful for our wonderful, beautiful home here. We were attracted to it by the first step of MorningStar's mission statement, which is: "Honor God in all our business practices and relationships." All of the staff members are very personable, loving, and caring and go above and beyond what is required in order to help every resident whenever they need it. The meals are delicious, and a variety of activities are offered. We now have many dear friends here and look forward to each new day. Thank you, Lord God, for leading us to MorningStar! I apologize to the manager of the facility at 3509 lochwood in Fort Collins and to those I did not intend my post to reflected on them. Being an old world German I often vent my feelings without engaging the mind the good God gave me. I have always been a man of my word. When those I deal with do not share the same philosophy I may not express my feelings in the way I would were I not upset because a few others have failed. I t is a fact I have had issues with the way my wife has been cared for. I was pleased when a coordinator was hired to improve things in the memory care department of this establishment. Sadly those improvements have been put on hold . In my opinion the FOUNDER of Morningstar's establishments fails to live up to the flowery words heard in his advertisements. When ANY EMPLOYEE shows they care for the residents and try to improve matters they are skating on thin ice. Aside from MR. FOUNDER I find most management employees to be warm, friendly and as caring as permitted to be by the founder. I still fail to understand why those with great talents are not permitted to put those talents to use. Could it be that it impacts the profits? Is profit the the rule here at the cost of the welfare of the residents? We will just have to wait a bit longer to see if the new coordinator will be permitted to see that all reflections residents are treated in accordance with the Founders Club member's signed agreement. New post: Joyce had a serious fall in the area where residents dine. Ambulance transported her to PVH for cat scan and stitches. Morningstar head nurse sent a transport vehicle to get Joyce since PVH will not return patients in an ambulance. Perhaps someday before christmas the founder of this organization will open his ears and listen to others advice. Chairs on coasters on tile floors is an invitation to disaster. Mister KEN you should practice what you preach. Also read your christian bible a bit more often.
