Absolutely fantastic place for my grandparents. They always mention the director, Ms. Daisy. She is always professional and sweet. They also enjoy the activities the company provides and looks forward to them. Tea party, scenic drives and bingo are their favorite.

Harvard Square is such a beautiful facility from the inside out. The decision of having to trust another person or facility to care for a loved one is a difficult one. Harvard Square helps to ease that decision. The staff is attentive, caring and set the tone for such a successful transition in hard times. You can choose to leave your loved one knowing they are being treated with kindness, compassion, respect and the care of the residents is the priority. The community is well kept clean and you can feel the pride the employees take in being apart of making Harvard Square successful.

Good day to all. I am very pleased to say that I have found my loved one (Auntie) her happy home here at Harvard Square. Not only is it a beautiful place for retirement but the staff just made it that much better. Ms. Christina and team left me and my family a great feeling of knowing she's going to be ok. With my Aunt being my Mom's sister we have to make sure TiTi is good to go daily. So, thank you Harvard Square, staff, and Ms. Christina for allowing us to tour and thank you for giving us peace of mind knowing my Aunt is going to be ok.

Upon first moving into Harvard Square, I would tell others that is was "A Wonderland". However, there was an Executive Director [name removed] who could be a diligent worker and vivacious. Unfortunately, she was mean spirited, vindictive & a bully! You would not believe the horror stories that I could tell. My brother as well as my best friend had said, "'We have to get you the Hell out of there"!! There were many activities, a State of Art Gym, Jacuzzi with jets, a lovely Library and superb food. Sadly, the damage had been done, and we made the big move to Woodland Estates. It is far better than Harvard Square. Thank you.

First of all, I wanted to thank all the staff members for their friendly and helpful services. It’s was a hard transition for both my parents with the changes in their lives as they are getting older. You guys made this transition flawless for both of them and they are embracing this new way of care through everything this facility provides. I would highly recommend this facility for anyone who needs a quality place for their parents. This facility is friendly, safe, and staff checks on them daily for anything they need at night. If you have any questions, issues, or concerns there is always someone at the front desk to address them. I love that they have so many things happen to help people engage with each other to help keep socializing and create new friendship with each other. My parents and I want to thank you for everything, and keep doing the amazing things you guys do to make this a wonderful place to be at.

I looked in the Harvard Square for a place to put my dad who had a memory care issues. Due to my work in the community I’ve seen a bunch of horrible assisted-living facilities. Harvard Square was above my expectations. The facility is clean and well kept. The residents are happy and seemed to have a very good quality of life. I ended up choosing to go with Harvard Square and knew that it would be a difficult process to finally get my dad moved in. I was wrong, the people at Harvard Square helped me with the paperwork process. Christina at Harvard Square went above and beyond to assist me and assist my dad. I expected my dad to be mad about being put into a retirement home after I’ve cared for him in my home for two years. I was also wrong, my dad loves it there and appreciates the staff attentiveness. My dad also really enjoys the chef prepared meals.

Our family member was a Harvard Square resident for 10 years. Each staff member knew her by name & interacted with her. She loved the many activities & outings opportunities. The personal care she received & their including her in events, when she became forgetful of dates, were all very special. Every aspect of Harvard Square has people committed to providing excellence in their job. When there was a concern, it was easy to discuss & problem-solve quickly. We, as a family, recommend Harvard Square as a wonderful community full of great caring employees. They are doing MANY things well

My mother needed to quickly transition from living at home to assisted living. After touring several facilities, we found Harvard Square to be head and shoulders above their competitors in terms of apartment style and size, wide-ranging amenities, engaged management and leadership, and compassionate, caring staff. Every aspect of Harvard Square operations reflects a well-run organization with consistent attention to detail and outcome-oriented performance. Food, nursing, assistance services, medication management, housekeeping, concierge, billing, therapy, and social activities are all reliable and consistent. Highly recommend Harvard Square as an assisted living provider. They are cost competitive in the market, yet superior in quality and breadth of service.

We have tried hard to like this memory care facility and its management. Unfortunately, like many (most?) of these types of facilities, the sales pitch falls devastatingly short of the reality. If you are looking to place your loved one here, you should be aware that you cannot trust what you will be told by management. They might disagree with that -- if so they are out of touch with what actually occurs on the inside. My father-in-law moved in seven weeks ago after living at home. His dementia fairly recently progressed to the point that keeping him at home was no longer viable. Moving a parent is one of the most difficult choices a family must make. Family members (not least so the one with dementia) are vulnerable in this situation. Promises of better care and better living are easy to come by and very often facile. Dementia is, as we know, a very difficult disease to manage, as are, oftentimes, its sufferers. We don't pretend it is easy on anyone. Yet, that's no excuse for the wide chasm between what the family is told to expect and what happens when the family is not there to observe. Case in point: his hearing aids were lost "2 or 2-1/2 weeks ago...", as we learned today. No one bothered to let us know they were missing until yesterday. It is possible that management wasn't even aware -- though that is no excuse. To be clear, the hearing aid chargers (should) have been maintained by the care team for the past several weeks, so they should have known they went missing. The hearing aids were custom made and worth thousands of $ when bought last fall; his insurance won't cover another pair since they were nearly new. Importantly, had we known they were missing we quickly would have worked to find or replace them. We could have avoided his being unable to hear or communicate with other residents or staff for weeks on end. It's unconscionable to let a basic need like hearing to be ignored for so long. People with dementia need all the advantages available to them to keep from slipping further, faster. Instead his needs were ignored, as were ours. What wasn't ignored were his meds. After some struggles to get those correctly implemented, they have indeed kicked in, in force. He is medicated to the point of maximum sedation and confusion. Some of that is unavoidable, given some recent aggressive behaviors, but it begs the question: would he need so much sedation if he were able to hear just a little better, or if other (hyped) interventions besides medications were even somewhat effective? We (he) weren't given the chance to know that since the care team either didn't know for "2 or 2-1/2 weeks", or they simply didn't think it worth informing the family. How would it be for you (someone presumably without cognitive impairment) to be unable to hear a human voice for that long? Sit with that for a minute or a couple weeks. There have been other lapses and failures by this management team that I won't go into other than to say they have also been significant, maybe equally so. And none of this is meant to diminish from the team's -- especially the front line staff's -- efforts to improve the situation, with mixed success. However: a common thread throughout these seven weeks has been overpromising and underdelivering on the part of the management team. For them to contest that would be dishonest. A large part of the reason it is hard to write a diatribe such as this is because we have had generally positive interactions with this team in person. You don't want to have to be this honestly critical with people you get along with in person. But watching your loved one's needs repeatedly ignored or unaddressed isn't what you signed them (or yourself) up for. Not for $7000++ per month. You expect there will be accountability, communication, and the very highest quality of care. That's the sales pitch. If you are considering moving your loved one here, it is vital that you know the reality may be something else entirely.

My mom has been at Harvard Square for two years now, transitioning from Independent Living to Assisted Living and now Memory Care. Throughout each stage, we have been so pleased with the care staff, the activities, and the overall facility. The team is compassionate, attentive, and truly invested in the residents’ well-being. We especially appreciate that she has been able to age in place with continuity of care. It gives our family great peace of mind knowing she is supported and cared for so thoughtfully.

I recently performed at Harvard Square Retirement & Memory Care and had a wonderful experience. Daisy Hernandez was incredibly helpful coordinating everything - from parking to setup - and the staff was welcoming and professional throughout. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and has a warm atmosphere. What really impressed me was the resident community. There was a large, enthusiastic crowd in attendance, with residents genuinely engaged and enjoying themselves. I don't often see residents dancing at my performances, but here, plenty were up and moving! The applause and compliments afterward were heartwarming. Harvard Square clearly invests in quality programming and creates an environment where residents are happy and engaged. I would absolutely perform here again and highly recommend this community.

Although we did not go with Harvard Square Assisted Living, (due to the distance being 2 times further away than the facility we decided to go with), Nischal my contact and tour guide did a fantastic job explaining their process, the facility and care. All of the residents I saw seemed to be very happy and engaging with the staff. They even have a Happy Hour music event on Thursdays and the residents were really excited to be going to this, as we finished the tour.

Harvard Square is a truly extraordinary retirement community. My Dad moved here during a period when our family was going through lots of changes in rapid fire. We feel SO LUCKY that this became his home. The facility is beautiful, spacious and well maintained. It's in a very convenient location close to serval of Denver's main arteries. The care and coordination of services is impeccable. The schedule of fun extra curricular of events is frequent and nicely varied between movie nights, musical entertainment, dancing and other social functions. And the crown jewel of Harvard Square, in my opinion, is their incredible staff. Every single one of them- caregivers, receptionists, maintenance workers, dining room wait staff, chefs, CNA's, social coordinates, office staff, administrators- every single one that I met, are sweet, helpful, compassionate, well-trained, and seem totally dedicated to giving residents their best lives. They really seem to be inspired by the special mission of this kind of work. I honestly don't know how they do it, but the culture in this community is genuinely exceptional, and way, way better than what I have seen when other family members and friends have lived in similar communities. I cannot recommend these guys more whole heartedly. My family and I absolutely LOVE Harvard Square!!!

As a hospice clinical liaison, I work with many Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care communities”and Harvard Square by Cogir stands out in every way. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re greeted with genuine warmth and smiling faces. The environment feels less like a facility and more like a family. Tejah and Phyllis, in particular, go above and beyond for their residents. Their compassion, attentiveness, and dedication are unmatched. I have had family members in four senior living facilities, and Harvard Square is the best! After my wife and I moved here, her experience was transformative. They have lots of activities, but what makes it different is the friendly people -- both residents and staff. When my wife came out of her depression, her psychiatrist said, "human interaction is more powerful than any drug I can prescribe." Harvard Square had issues in the past, but the new director is aggressively fixing them. I recommend this place without reservation.

The three things that made my decision to live here was 24 hour concierge, the deck looking out at Babi Yar Memorial Park, and the beautiful entrance to the front of Harvard's covered canape. Management is constantly changing, no one follows up on maintenance issues like the constantly out of service elevators, AC is turned off in the winter and rooms are often over 80 in the winter even with the apartments heat turned off because heat in the main building is constantly on. The posted menu isn’t followed or food runs out. Servings are ridiculously small, today the option was chicken nuggets or hot dog for lunch. On two occasions the wait for transport from a doctors appointment was over 3 hours. Recently renovated but it’s lipstick on a pig your parents and loved ones deserve better and better places exist keep looking. UPDATE 4/19/2024 - There has been much improvement in meal quality and consistency. Leadership is responding to items about temperature and have managed expectations for my parents in the building around that. The current leadership team has been responsive. They have included a happy hour on the weekend and family of residents can enjoy and engage with others, it has helped to build community and makes the place seem "younger". My Dad had to go to a physical rehab facility for the last month and one of the leaders (Rick) has visited him twice now to check on him and has brought him treats. My parents and my own experience has improved greatly with recent follow through of the new leaders (this is independent). Update: 5/10/25- cooling system out again and it’s 83 at 10pm in the rooms. Turn over with the kitchen staff and now meals are taking so long people just leave or orders are just changed to what’s available. Today was a sandwich with coleslaw between the bread. Really would like someone to contact me.

Had the pleasure of touring here while looking for a place for my Dad. The only reason we didn’t choose this place is because we found one closer. I’m certain if we were to have picked here, he would have been well cared for. Met tons of happy residents during our tour. The place was clean and the staff was very friendly. The lobby was filled with love and laughter. Looks like a great place to spend your golden years.

I have both of my parents living here. They are being well taken care of. I have no complaints. They love the food! The attendants have been very kind and responsive. I am so thankful for Harvard Square. They have been such a great help to me as their caregiver. I’m looking into my mother-in-law possibly living here also. I would highly recommend this facility.

As a professional, I know a good community when I see one. There is great value here and what I mean. Specifically is the people, the food, the atmosphere, the size and amenities of the apartments and again, the people, the people that work there, the people that live there. Simply the best. Marybeth, Linda, Yair, Axel, Daisy all top notch. Bravo, good on you Harvard Square. Ask for a deal when moving in, they are reasonable

They have been so kind and my mom has done so well here. I was wondering if she would ever get back to where she was previous to a surgery and she has not only made a recovery but enjoys Harvard Square so much! Thank you so much Harvard Square for giving me peace of mind again!

Excellent place to be! My wife and have lived here since July 2023, and we have no complaints; the staff is caring, residents watch out for each other, we feel that we have our forever home.

Razika is amazing! She welcomed me and my mom who is the resident in assisted living and has taken care of all of our needs and wants. Th facility has a wonderful nursing director - Kendra - who is great to everyone and so professional and experienced. Mary Beth at the front desk area knows everyone and everything and is just the friendliest. The Executive Director - don’t know him - he never looks up and never smiles or speaks to anyone. Seems completely unapproachable but maybe that is ok. Whenever he sees us he never speaks or introduces himself but I guess he isn’t really needed by anyone it seems. Food is good! My mom is very happy here and I recommend it this place.

My wife and I lived in assisted living for a year. The staff is superb. They are friendly and helpful: I give them 3 stars instead of 5 because the food and food service is terrible: Food is served warm at best. The taste is average. The variety was limited.. It’s even worse if you have to eat in your room. Food is served cold and was usually incorrect or incomplete. I spoke with management about this more times than I can count. I got lip service but nothing ever really changed.

My mother has been an AL resident at HS for almost a year. Recently I was able to stay with her for an extended period at the facility. The staff is very nice and responsive. The residents are very welcoming and collegial. The environment is pleasant and the food is well prepared and served. There are things to improve in every community. Overall I thought HS is doing a good job of running the facility and caring for its residents.

This place is amazing and so much better than I had expected with memory care. They are pet-friendly, have on-site nursing, allow some alcohol, and the staff is very accommodating. Location is convenient and it's actually one of the more affordable options in the area. Moving a parent to assisted living is stressful, but Carly Jordan made it as smooth and friendly as possible.

Razika, our coordinator, deserves a raise! Exemplary representation of the community! Everyone is friendly, helpful and quick to serve. However, Razika's bubbly personality and sincere empathy for our situation is what peeked our interest in Harvard Square! Thank you Razika!

Harvard Square is amazing! They treat residents like family. We chose HS because of the cleanliness of the facility, the family atmosphere and the fabulous staff!!! They have been able to cater to the specific and unique needs of my family member in a loving and compassionate way. The ED, Carly Jordan, is absolutely the BEST!!! I could not go through this journey without her wisdom and guidance.

Harvard Square is an absolutely amazing community that has built a safe space for our loved ones to enjoy their twilight years. Carly Jordan, the ED, is terrific and communicates very well. She looks after all her residents as they were her parents and grandparents.

Both of my parents stayed here. Together they were in the assisted living. When my father passed we had to move my mom to the memory care side. We worked with the team through the pandemic and helped them to develop plans to communicate with our family. Carly Jordan was instrumental in making our mother's stay more comfortable. As she brought on additional services for her residents, she instilled faith and trust for the families. It was a difficult time to go through and Carly made us feel secure that Mom was being taken care of. Thank you all...

I believe that there are facilities and residential settings available for all Senior and those who have a Disability lifestyle to provide continuity to each individual. Harvard Square residents that I have seen active within and who I visit seems to be the perfect setting for these individuals.
