When Mom first moved in 3years ago, it was a thriving place. The managers were friendly and personable. The new managers”oh, excuse me”manager now since her husband got fired (but he still lives high off the hog when it comes to his appetite!), however, run it like a (failing) business, not like a home for aging persons who deserve a welcoming place. There are still”STILL”problems that management has created with staff”who love & appreciate residents. Case in point: we asked if I needed to get the carpet cleaned in mom’s apartment or if Summit Glen does it. I was told that they do it and that they would put in an order for it. That was April. This is mid-June. Every time I inquired of staff, they voiced frustration that even though the order was in, nothing was being done. Since then, Mom has been declining & I’m needing to move her. Well, low & behold, the minute I gave the 30 days notice, THEN the carpet got cleaned! Sure, when Stephanie has to try to get another paying resident in”i.e. when it matters to management”then they will act, but not before. BTW, there are currently 8 empty apartments on the 2nd floor alone. There were none when we moved mom in 3years ago.

On behalf of Pat Clasing: I have lived here at Summit Glen for almost 5 years now, and the time has flown by quickly. I've really loved my apartment and the managers, employees, and residents are truly what it makes it feel like home. We have a bright and open dining room. The food is good most of the time. Everyone can't be pleased all the time 🙂 Our activity coordinator, Christi, is the best, with a wide variety of crafts, socials, daily exercise classes, and other activities to choose from. My personal favorites are Wii Bowling and tabletop shuffleboard. We also have a little closet door store in case you run out of an item or two or three - paper towels, Kleenex, snacks, batteries, and stamps, to name a few. We are located close to shopping, thrift stores, etc - just a very handy location. Our bus driver, Keith, is top-notch. Last, but not least, is our lead concierge, Judine - to know her is to love her. Come check us out!

Couldn't be happier with how great this wonderful home is for my Dad and step-Mom. Nicholas and the entire staff there have been super welcoming and caring for my folks. They have great amenities, plan fun activities, and promote a social lifestyle that keeps involvement high. The food is exceptional and we love this trusted environment for my parents. Fabulous! Thanks so much! One year later.... Recently my parents needs required moving to assisted living but we have been very appreciative of how Summit Glen went the extra mile to take care of our folks. Judine, (one of the managers there) was always attentive to how they were doing and kept us posted when extra help was needed and in many cases she would come to their assistance when we were not there or unavailable. Even through my Dad's partial decline, Judine would so her best to accommodate them, and she always did so professionally and with a cheerful heart. We will miss her and much of the caring staff there.

It's very well taken care of , allowing us to show it off to family and friends. I have taken advantage of a number of activities offered. This is the best independent living center in Colorado Springs! We have the friendliest people, the nicest environment, and the best staff to serve us of all the places I visited. I have been here 2 1/2 years and have seen the management change a year ago. Now we have a strong management team, an excellent activities schedule, and a fantastic staff to serve us in the dining room and clean our rooms. Residents look out for each other, and they are very kind. I have made life-long friends, and I treasure the conversations we have at meals. As new residents come in, we try our best to try to make them feel welcome. After having checked several similar facilities, I decided that Summit Glen offers a reasonable rent and the best value for the money. It’s a great place to live, and I never want to move!

I spent 5 days at Summit Glen visiting my sister who moved in several months ago. I was very impressed with the service provided by the staff, the friendliness of the residents, and the building and grounds. The halls and other common areas were decorated with a variety of artwork and there was room for people to mingle informally throughout the building. There are many activities provided for the residents. The meals are quite good. The people in charge come out into the dining room and help serve coffee and connect with the residents on a regular basis. Judine Small, in particular, was very warm and friendly and made all the residents feel noticed.

Truly a warm and welcoming place. My 81 yo grandfather recently moved into summit glen after the long and unpleasant experience of trying to get his inaccessible condo sold. The glow-up is immaculate! After only having been at summit glen for a little over a week, he is glowing again. I haven't seen him this relieved in years. They have an excellent kitchen staff that makes home cooked meals free for tenants 3 times a day. They also have a wide selection of activities for the tenants partake in if they desire. Everyone I've talked to has been incredibly kind and willing to make conversation over anything and everything. If you have an older someone at home who could still live by themselves but you would rather have the piece of mind knowing there are people looking out for them, I highly recommend summit glen. IT IS WORTH THE PRICE.

Every employee makes it a pleasure to have my mother living there!! The management (Nicholas, Crystal and Judine) are the most responsive "managers" ever! So much so, that they are more like family. The wait staff, because it is a dining experience 3 times a day, are incredible! They actually "take orders" at each table, so the food is served to your liking (1/2 order, alternative meal, sandwiches, etc.). There is a good variety of foods at each meal to satisfy almost any taste or dietary restriction. And it's good!! There are plenty of activities to keep social, or not, depending on your style! Mom loves it!

Whether it be a temporary place to stay if a situation presents itself where it may necessary for a very independent person may need a bit more supervision or lacks fulfillment in social environment. My point is this... Summit Glen is a wonderful place to call HOME. The staff is well trained and knowledgeable. Friendly and professional. But more than anything they truly care about the residents. They are able to get to know residents well and can not if individuals have changes in behavior, physical or mental health. Sometimes before family or friends may see. Catching things before it could be a health issue. The facility offers a wide range of activities and healthy options to maintain and improve the whole person and is great at involving family and friends to be a part of the experience of retirement years. The entire staff members are so kind and loving, Judine and Crystal (to name just a few) keep a respectful eye on all that goes on. Everyone and I mean everyone give all their heart. Nicholas the on site manager runs a tight ship with a gentle heart..nothing he can't handle ( LOVE THE BOW TIES) Bottom line is this place ROCKS

I've been going to Summit Glen since at least 2010 to play the piano and sing Hymns of Faith with the residents that many of them learned in their childhood. Since I've played at over 40 homes between Colorado Springs and Denver, I've been hesitant to recommend homes to people because staff changes, etc. can change from good to bad. Summit Glen's quality and service has remained consistantly high. From where I sit at the piano, I have a view of everything that goes on from interaction between staff and residents, warm relationships built among residents, and joy of living and being there. Everyone is nice and friendly residents speak Spanish my language It makes me so happy. Managers Nicholas and Crystal are friendly and help everyone out Im happy here.

Our Mom, Cecily, lived here. The way she was treated was very professional and courteous at all times. She enjoyed the company of others in this small community. Nicholas and Crystal were busy at all times along with the whole crew to make the people living there happy. We strongly recommend looking at this place for yourself or another loved one. Cecily was 101 years old.

Hi everyone, We moved into Summit Glen in June 24, everybody is pleasant & fun to interact with. Crystal, Nick, & Tara made us feel at home. They have many different activity's to do right here, every Wed. We go on a outing ie: fishing, Picnic at a local park, Cripple Creek casinos etc... What we have experienced at mealtimes we sometimes share a table with 2 other people. We had a talent show and one of the activitys was to write something to recite. So here it is: Supper's Company, suppers dance A table set, a candle's glow, A feast awaites, a gentle flow. Companions gather, faces bright, Shared repast, a warm delight, A lover's gaze, a tender touch, A whispered word, a silent clutch. A family's laughter, children's glee, A bond of love, wild and free. A friends embrace, a knowing smile, A shared secret, a heartfelt while. A stranger's kindness, a chance encounter, A fleeting moment , a precious encounter. Alone, perhaps, a quiet meal, A book for company, a soul to heal. In solituder's embrace, a peaceful sight, A supper shared with the fading light. I just left this community and I had a very good time while living here. The food was a little rough in the beginning.They now have a kitchen that puts out some delicious meals. All the servers do a fantastic job. The managers make you feel at home. They go well beyond the calling of a 55 community. The community watches out for each other.iThe financial and marketing lady Tara was a very professional person to deal with . The maintenance man Jos© really is fantastic and really should have a helper for the size of the building. The servers were great.The head manager team is fantastic and really cares about the people. My go to manager Judine was a pleasure to be around and I will miss her. If I had a problem she would address it and fix it properly.The facility has a bus that takes you to medical appointments,shopping trips, and field trips. The driver Keith is an excellent driver and person who was a great person overall.Even though everything sounds great there are some people you will never please. That’s life. As a vendor providing musical entertainment since 2008, we love coming to Summit Glen for performances. The management team, and staff, led by Chrystal and Nicholas, are very welcoming and supportive to the needs of the residents. We have made wonderful friendships with so many of the people who live at Summit Glen, and have even seen the mother of one of our musicians move to Summit Glen where she is very happy. The general open areas are always clean and comfortable to be in. If you are looking for a senior residence to live at I definitely would recommend Summit Glen.
