Excellent assisted living facility. Everything is on property, restaurants, bistro, salon, spa, pool and a bunch of other amenities that I can't think of. If you need assisted living, this is the place. Highly recommended!!

My Mom lives here. These folks, the surroundings, the safety features they offer, the services that can come in to assist, this place is outstanding. My daughter, a nurse who had clients here, selected this facility for Grandma. I am very happy with the service. These people take care of each client like they are their own. Highly recommend!

I had a wild mushrooms appetizer that was amazing ( I love mushrooms but keep in mind they are on the earthy side). The service was nice with bottles of wine being opened table side. The place itself seems like an old Colorado Springs staple with classic diner seating. I will be back again.

My elderly parents have owned and lived in one of the cottages for several years. They have now moved into an Independent Living apartment within the main building. The staff are consistently courteous and the community has a lot of activities to engage the residents.

I like the idea that you can buy a house here instead of renting if you go to one of these retirement they can and do raise your rent each year by 2 to 8 percent on top of the high price you already pay to live their

Parking is not very convenient for staff or others when busy. Place is like a fancy hotel for the elderly but a lil extra. The staff is all so friendly and caring. Very clean. Walking around the place is impressive. They have a large gym, and an indoor pool and spa. Facilities are available to staff when not in use by the residents. They have two restaurants within this place. One for the more independent on the first level and another on the second level. The place is huge with libraries and all sorts of fun stuff.

The country club of senior living! This place is fantastic!! I have never been so impressed with a staff that cares, the level of facility and activity, the healthy community and the special events put on for the residents. This place is top notch! After visiting several times, I cant help but plan so when I am in need of an independent living, assisted living or memory care facility that I make sure that I can be at Mackenzie Place.

Great Sunday brunch buffet with my stepfather. Food was awesome. Dont watch the game with your parents here, the cable is lousy with 480i picture quality. On a HD TV the picture is so blurry you feel like you need glasses.

I remember when I went there for a job in construction about 18 years ago then In 2002 I wanted to work Physical Therapy there Then I hurt my back again no more work for me. I have to say this is a top notch home environment & you have access to Drs. & therapy all in this little area all four corners has Dr. facilities. Penrad Imaging is even right across the street. You are right next to a golf course, there are restaurants down Fillmore. Mountain Metro Bus transit Has a pick up on Fillmore & one on Union coming and going. Fore a retirement environment it has what you need and more. Your accessibility to other places are not to complicated to manage & your only 5 minutes from down town. Spectacular place for our loved ones to be looked after and still have their privacy. We have to take good care of our parents, after all they have done for us. Its only fitting...

Ive visited MacKenzie Place and their brand of resort style senior living focuses on expanding freedom, choice and independence for seniors. Your loved one will have more time to explore the things they truly enjoy in life, including spending quality time with family and friends. Our 96 year old mother, Gerry, chose an independent living apartment arrangement and moved in just after Thanksgiving. She is very pleased with her surroundings and the friendly employees that she interacts with daily. She loves the good variety of food choices and flexible eating hours. She truly enjoys the friends she has made and looks forward to sharing with them at meal times. Our family likes the ease of eating with her there and likes the quality and value of meals. The entire family agrees that she made an excellent lifestyle choice of joining the friendly and capable staff at Mackenzie Place.

I truly enjoy working with The MacKenzie Place and their residents. I provide monthly office hours for estate planning and elder law issues to residents. The MacKenzie Place strives to provide their residents with fun activities, entertainment, and education in a friendly and fun atmosphere. Their menu is similar to a restaurant and the meals are delicious and well prepared.

Ive visited many times. The staff truly cares about the residents, but theyre more than residents, theyre family. The restaurant is top notch. The chefs entrees are delicious. MacKenzie place is always striving to improve. It would be an honor to have my parents live there.

I am writing this review as a long time vendor to MacKenzie Place. I have been providing products and services to both the Ft. Collins and Colorado Springs locations for many years. Every time I am at either of the locations I keep telling myself, this is where I would like to be! Of course in the event I would be in a situation to have the opportunity. The very first thing anyone will notice if they were to visit is the absolute dedication the employees have to their residents. Friendly, concerned, caring, empathetic, and inspirational are just a few of the words that come to mind. The interaction between the employees and the residents is unbelievable. This I can attest to isnt just a front of the house show. As a vendor, I get to go behind the scenes as well and I can assure anyone that the heartfelt caring stretches way beyond the front reception desk. From the warm welcome upon arriving, the fantastic restaurant service, the memory care, the boutique and the swimming pool and therapy provided are just a few of the amenities I notice each and every time I visit. Regardless of what type of care I observe, everything is performed with absolute professionalism and just as important, they sincerely care. Thank you MacKenzie Place for providing such a 5 star facility!!

Our good friend has the pleasure of living at Mackenzie. Her senior advisor at a place for mom recommended she visit a few retirement homes to see what the best fit would be. I accompanied her and would also recommend you sample the food and ask for a copy of the calendar of events anywhere you go. Also, show up without an appointment, youll really get a sense for what the retirement home is like. When narrowing down your search, make sure Mackenzie is one of the places you visit.

My wife and I - both into our nineties - moved to MacKenzie Place in September 2014. Rather than repeat the well deserved favorable comments about the wonderful staff, food and ambiance of MacKenzie Place, I want to address a bit more the nuts and bolts of Independent Living at the Place. In our scouting we visited a number of retirement communities in the Colorado Springs - Boulder area. There was not a single property we saw which had the generous living, sleeping, kitchen and storage space as we have here at MacKenzie. Housekeeping is excellent. Besides, if we need any technical help, from replacing an-out-of-reach light bulb to coping with an unruly MS Windows 10, there is always some helping hand to assist us. Across from the residence is the Nancy Lewis Park, a lovely oasis with flat walks, benches, a fountain in the center of the lake and my favorite two turtles sunning themselves along the waters edge. All this with Pikes Peak as backdrop. The Park is also the site of the MacKenzie open air concerts, and where the neighborhood families relax and play. Somehow, it gives a nice neighborhood feeling. When, after spending 40-plus years in the in the automobile industry in Michigan, we moved to Colorado Springs, we never thought that we would feel so quickly at home in our new surroundings. Much of the credit goes to the staff and residents of MacKenzie Place.

My mom lives in MacKenzie Place and I have to say that the residence is very well run, the personnel are very attentive, and my mom is so happy there! She has recommended it to others who are equally satisfied. I dont think there is another place in Colorado Springs that surpasses the quality of living quarters, the food that is served, or the truly caring administrators. For those who need memory care, as some of the reviewers below have mentioned, I cant speak to that. For independent living, it is one of the best. There are many who have left other senior living centers and moved to MacKenzie Place with great results. I think youll find residents who are constant complainers anywhere without exception, just like in normal life. I can truly say our entire family is happy with our choice of MacKenzie Place.

Spectacular staff. Very good food. The care provided by the caregivers is with Love and Kindness. I have had nothing but great interaction with the staff and administrators. My 94 year old mother who lives in the memory care unit recognizes the quality of care provided while she is not aware of much else. Says a lot for the people and the facility. The property is always clean and well kept.
