I invited my three sons and daughter and their spouses to a Sunday evening dinner just to have a meal together in the evening. The kitchen manager Kia and Chef Chris made it so very special. Not only was it their night off and not due to come in that evening, but they made a super dinner served family style & personally served us. My family raved about the delicious food, the way it was served and the special time that we had that evening. They turned a family meal into a very special event!!!

My dad was at sunrise for a little over a month before he passed away, in the memory care unit. Everyone on that floor is exceptional with their care, especially Irma. Luke, the activity director is wonderful as well. The staff did a great job taking care of our dad! They were also great with helping us cope with the things we were experiencing with our dad's health decline. Very kind and personable. The care manager on the memory floor, Brittni, lacks communication all around. Stormy, the building RN is less than personable. She seems to blame a lot of faults on other people and is not one to take much accountability. If you're choosing sunrise, be an advocate for your loved one and spend time with them as much as possible so simple things don't get swept under the rug from the hire ups. The price you pay here is insane. Giving 4 stars for the care givers on the memory floor.

This facility’s staff is very attentive to residents and the culture is inclusive and warm! Specific to the nursing team I have interacted with, Lauren and Amy are incredible nurses and are so genuine with all residents. Stormy is responsive to all issues. Crystal is a joy to be around with lots of experience. I have seen Betsy touring and appears knowledgable and patient, answering all future resident questions. In the memory care community, I have seen Mary and Dolma making multiple residents smile and engaged. Would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a senior living community.

My parents have been in Reminiscence since spring '24. We chose Sunrise because they assured us they can work with my Mom's hoyer lift needs, and take care of them regardless of future disabilities that may arise. Blit was a bonus that they allowed them to have a cat. All the Sunrise staff are excellent. Standards are very high and we have been treated with great compassion. Standouts that have made a significant difference for my parents health, engagement and comfort include Irma, Mary Cruz, Luke, Jampa, Anthony, Amy (nurse) Brittni and Necie. Irma and Brittni even text back and forth about issues and needs with me, which makes everything easier. Thank you Sunrise staff for all you are doing! My parents have lived in four area senior facilities. Sunrise has my top recommendation.

Issac goes above and beyond every day. He’s attentive, compassionate, and always willing to step in with a smile. Sunrise Flatirons is a lovely and safe community for our family member. Her apartment is wonderful and she is very happy there. She is social and active and very involved. The staff is wonderful, truly. The food quality has been getting better but something that’s been below what we’d expect and need for a healthy diet at this age. Hopefully that improves more now. Management and corporate can be challenging at times so it’s important to be involved with advocating for your family member. A few years ago we had to step in regarding rent increases. The increases every year are very high as well. Overall a great place and we are very grateful!

One staff member who stands out in my mind is Kirsten. Over the years I've had multiple opportunities to experience the amazing staff, service and beauty at Sunrise at Flatirons. In my opinion there is not a better Senior Care community in Broomfield. The independent living is stunning and quite affordable when compared with similar Independent Living residences in the area. You couldn't ask for a better menu in the restaurant and the wait staff makes it feel like an upscale restaurant. The Assisted Living/Memory Care is beautiful and the team of care staff is very attentive. They designate care to sections of apartments so that the residents and family really gets to know the care staff that cares for them personally. I know many of the residents and families, and they regularly comment on the quality of services and the relationships they've built with the care staff. One of the things that really impressed me about their stories are the times when mistakes are made and how quickly and thoroughly they are resolved. The commitment to service at this community is renowned. No senior care community is perfect but this is as close as you can come in the Broomfield area. Keep up the good work Sunrise, we are all very grateful for the respect and attention you show to our elders. It should be noted that the leadership of Sue Crawford and how she runs this community and her team is the true reason Sunrise at Flatirons shines. She’s the best Executive Director in the business. Sunrise is fortunate to have her.

Char and her dining team provide wonderful meals everyday. The servers know me so well they have my preferred drink waiting for me! Scott, the activity coordinator, has so many diverse activities that both entertain and provide opportunities to learn and grow. Sean and his housekeeping and maintenance team keep the entire building looking like new. The concierge staff is so helpful and Tommy and Kelly in transportation are always flexible and accommodating for my transportation needs. Knowing I have a security team here at night provides me such peace of mind. Whatever my needs are, the entire Sunrise team are here to help me! I have recommended Sunrise to many family and friends and will continue to do so. Sunrise is my HOME!

My dear friend (my step daughter's mother-in-law) moved to independent living at Sunrise at Flatirons the official day of the Covid lockdowns on March 26, 2020. Although the Sunrise team faced many challenges due to the lockdowns, which is an understatement, they continued to provide the best service possible given the many obstacles placed before them. My friend loved living at Sunrise for 3-1/2 years before passing away at the age of 101+ in early October. Before her mobility became challenging, she enjoyed socializing with other residents sharing a meal in the dining room, playing Mah Jong in the game room, and taking in one of the movies in the on-site theater. Even as her condition deteriorated the last several months of her life, she acknowledged and appreciated the hard work of those with whom she interacted including the sales team, the front desk, accounting, maintenance, the kitchen staff, the transportation providers and housekeeping. Her family and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for always being so gracious to her and to all of us.

My elderly family member moved into independent living of Sunrise Flatirons in 2021, and overall it was a good experience. He had close friends there and it seemed like it was a good place. Then they increased the rent MIDWAY through his lease (something about adjustments), while limiting the dining options and offering buffet versus table service. Things got worse when he moved into assisted living for a few months following a stroke, which required him to have more intensive supervision and assistance as well as home PT/OT. Assisted living was very costly and barely offered the hands on support that he required at that time. The icing on the cake was the significant lack of communication amongst day and night staff as well as with our family. We were rarely updated on his progress or events that occurred during his time there, and always felt as if we were inconveniencing THEM when we called for updates. There are lots of assisted living facilities in that area, I would not recommend Sunrise for your loved ones that need assisted living or memory care.

However, the recent inappropriate, unfair and sudden money grab by corporate is unsettling. Sunrise Flatirons has been home to our parents for nearly a decade. Over that time they've live in Independent, Assisted and Memory Care. We had family reunions there, countless meals, holidays, sickness, health and ultimately passing for both of them. It truly was home for them and a part of our families' lives. Our experiences have always been positive. Regardless of how the staff changed over the years, we always felt that they were excellent, went above and beyond (not just for our parents, but also for us as family members), and showed true caring and compassion. I can't begin to count the number of times the accommodated our schedules, needs and wishes. By example, when the Louisville CO fires raged, they got mom to safely and did everything humanly possible to help her. I was so impressed and grateful. Sunrise is not our only experience with Senior Living, but it is hands down the best we've experienced. I can't recommend them highly enough.
