My sister worked here as a chef/cook for two months before she had to quit. Her manager [Name Removed], his buddy [Name Removed] and their friends bullied and physically threatened her almost every shift. She reported their behavior to her direct supervisor [Name Removed], which led to their harassment escalating to the point that she was afraid to go to work. Supposedly they have a three strikes rule and yet NOTHING but a verbal warning was given to these men. If this is how they treat their employees and co-workers, imagine for a second how they could be treating the residents. Shameful!!!

My mother was a resident of the excellent memory care department at the Ventura Townehouse for several years. I have countless fond memories of the time I spent there visiting her, and I will always have the deepest appreciation for the wonderful staff members who consistently treated my mom with the utmost attention, kindness, patience, dignity, and love.Erika, the memory care director, is an incredible person who professionally oversees the facility and its staff while paying close attention to each resident individually, seeing that everyone is healthy, happy, and that all of their needs are being addressed daily. I was constantly blown away by how well she does her job and by her kindness & warmth; no detail was too small or too large for her to take care of, and she was never too busy to patiently talk with me.The facilities there are clean, beautifully decorated, and well supervised 24/7. The food's great and is customized to meet the dietary needs and preferences of each resident. There are activities and events going on constantly so that the community doesn't get bored and stays occupied. The residents of the memory care are a lovely, diverse group of people who were always very kind to me.I could go on and on about the memory care department of the Ventura Townehouse, they were such a blessing to my mom, myself, and my family in the midst of challenging circumstances. I strongly encourage anybody who has a loved one experiencing memory problems to call and schedule a tour.

My husband and I are recent residents of The Townhouse, but that does not mean we feel "new". The staff and residents have have met us with open arms, smiles, and offers for help since day one. We are so happy we chose The Townhouse. Once the moving boxes were emptied it felt like "home". There are stimulating events every day, a great library, a menu of endless choices for meals, and music in the air. With the lovely glass surroundings that look out onto mature trees, lawns (we do not have to mow), and meandering pathways, we are delighted we found The Townehouse. Come visit!

Went to visit a friend who recently Moved in there Today. Places very clean staff is quite helpful. Seems like there's lots of activities going on there all the time. On the negative my friend says the food isn't great. No she also did say this the staff was extremely helpful in getting her settled in. It is after all an assistant living home so there are lots of elderly people there. But they were Deserve My uch RESPECT to.

It might seem overblown to give this retirement community 5 stars on everything but I assure you they are well-earned. A brief summary: My wife has been the primary care giver for her father. She had been away from home 4-5 days per week, traveling 3+ hours each way weekly for over six months. When they decided to move him near us, I was asked to locate & tour a number of care facilities in Ventura County. After searching the web I found Assisted Living Connections in Ventura County who helped me find options. (ps: they are great) I visited a number of options and found many to be dark, gloomy, basically clean but unpleasant surroundings. I was able to narrow the list fairly quickly. We landed at the Ventura Town House & compared to other options out there this place is like a cross between a Four Seasons and a cruise ship. My wife and I took their tour, I was very skeptical assuming the sales pitch was just another pitch. In reality, she under promised and since they have over delivered. We wanted an active social life and a staff with good people skills. We are we happy with this group, trust me, when it comes to her father she is hard to please! We have found their dedication, professionalism, knowledge and most importantly (for my wife) their caring and compassion for her father invaluable. I highly recommend this facility.I recommend Ventura Townehouse with the highest rating possible!

My mother was a resident of the Ventura Townehouse for a little over a year before she passed. Our whole family has nothing but good things to say about the Townehouse, and only wish we would have brought her here earlier to enjoy all of the activities and friendships available. There are endless activities, social gatherings, transportation to just about anywhere in town, a variety of wonderful food, nurses on location, personal attention, exercise/fitness classes, dance classes, pretty grounds, a front desk staff that attends to your requests, and I could go on and on. We had a hard time getting mom to leave her home of over 30 years, but we all wish we could have talked her into it sooner. It has been proven that being around people improves quality of life. The whole experience for the price you pay is unbelievable compared to other places we checked into. It is a place I've already told my kids that's where I want to be when the time comes!

I recently had a tour of The Townehouse by Samantha Crisp, as one of my closest friends will be moving there shortly. Samantha was warm and inviting, and the the facility was lovely. The staff was delightful, and the food was amazing! I am confident my friend will love her new home and stay very busy with all of the new friends she will meet and activities she will participate in!

Sylvan Crossings in Westshire Village is absolutely charming! Upon touring the facility, we found the outside grounds to be very inviting, safe, and comfortable for the residents to enjoy. The inside of the facility was extremely well maintained, spacious, safe, easily accessible for wheelchairs in all areas, and odor free. The staff were very friendly, engaged with the residents, and the environment was calm with structure. Safety features were visible and easily acknowledged by staff, residents, and visitors. There was an honesty and strong sense of pride and genuine caring that emanated from the contacts who assisted us through our tour. We were very impressed and felt very positive about our experience. We will be making decisions very soon.

the townhouse has so many activities that give the residents a opportunity to participate. my mother loves to be busy and active. the food is great and the staff really care. i hope i can live there later in life. i highly recommend the Ventura Townhouse!

Facility is nice and feels new in a very comfortable way. There's even an outdoor pool for therapy. It's a small ALF in a home setting, so not many residents or activities, but good individual care. Staff is very helpful and caring. My Dad was not very cooperative in the beginning, but the staff persevered and he's starting to settle in nicely. I'm very happy with everything so far.

I have known the Ventura Townehouse for may years & recommended it to friends in search of a retirement home. Myself I have moved here, slightly unexpected but with no regrets, two years ago. It is a lovely place in a great location, surrounded by people from all walks of life. All I can honestly say, this delightful VTH is precisely what you want it to be. It is like any new residence, hotel, spa or even cruise. You do it with an open mind, slowly make your adjustments & it can become the paradise you want it to be. The staff is most friendly & helpful. Most residence are no different. Looking forward meeting you once you get here!

My husband and I live in the Ventura Townehouse which seems like a lovely hotel. Our apartment is nice and has a large balcony with a great view of trees and a lawn with a putting green. We also enjoy three meals per day with excellent food. People are happy here and easy to meet as there are many activities. Every Friday afternoon the lobby is used for a wine and cheese party with a musician or musical group playing. Sometimes we enjoy dancing. 5 stars

For many years I had envisioned living here. As I realized that vision 15 months ago I had no idea it would be so special. Recently I shared with a family member how appropriate my choice and that it had exceeded my expectations. Whether I wish to play games, socialize, enjoy good entertainment, be a busy body, enjoy a good meal, or slumber away the day in my studio apartment with an ocean view I am happy. Friendliness abounds here from staff to residents.

My mother is currently in the Memory Care Facility at Grand Villa. Overall we are very pleased with the level of care and attention she receives there. Specifically the activities which include singing, dancing, arts & crafts, have had a positive impact on her well-being.

My father in law is so happy living here. We had a fantastic party on Saturday in the Founders' Room for his 100th birthday! Antoine did a great job showing me the room before the event and the staff came and took away our trash when the party was over. The Founders' Room was free of charge to us, because my father in law is a resident and it gave us an intimate setting with a view to celebrate his 100th birthday with family and friends. Can't say enough good things about this place.

I came out from Colorado to visit my uncle Marvin who is living there .. you all.. the Staff are amazing .. I Love how you all treat me and my Uncle Marvin. . and youre taking care of him so wonderfully ♡ it just makes it so much exciting to visit him and thank you for helping with his 80th Birthday party

Wonderful place for our mom. Meals are wonderful and employees are all so nice and caring. So many good people there also. Mom has her independence and privacy, but all she has to do is call and help is right there. It was a little confusing for her at first because it was such a change in environment..... But she is doing great now. So grateful there is a place so nice for our mom to spend her final years.
