I have been living at Atria Grand Oaks, and it truly feels like home. One of my favorite parts of living here is the dining experience. The meals are always delicious, and the kitchen staff does such a wonderful job. They are friendly, attentive, and always make me feel special. Nidia the server is very accommodating. The staff throughout the community is amazing. The Sales Director has been so kind and continues to check in on me, which means a lot. The Executive Director is always visible, approachable, and genuinely cares about the residents. It's comforting to know that everyone here works so hard to make this a happy and welcoming place to live. I am so grateful to call Atria Grand Oaks my home.

I’ve been visiting my aunt at Atria Grand Oaks regularly for quite some time, and every visit has been a positive experience. There’s a genuine sense of warmth and kindness throughout the community, and the staff always goes out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. The residents seem happy and engaged, and you can tell they are truly cared for. The food is great, and the dining team does an excellent job. It’s comforting to know that a place like this exists, and I would absolutely recommend Atria Grand Oaks to anyone looking for a caring and vibrant senior living community.

The kitchen staff is truly exceptional, and the entire team at Atria Grand Oaks creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere that immediately feels like home. The food is consistently outstanding, which makes every visit even more enjoyable. My girlfriend has been a resident here for the past two years, and seeing how happy and well cared for she is speaks volumes about the quality of this community. I genuinely couldn’t recommend a better place. It is a wonderful environment where residents can truly thrive.

We’ve had such a positive experience with Atria Grand Oaks over the past year and a half. Transitioning into a senior living community can be a big and emotional adjustment, and I don’t think that challenge gets acknowledged enough. The team here truly understands that and meets residents with patience, respect, and care. A special thank you to Eden, the Executive Director, whose leadership is clearly reflected in the day-to-day experience. The community is consistently clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. And while things inevitably need repair from time to time )as they do anywhere) they’re always addressed quickly and efficiently, which makes a big difference. Most importantly, my family member feels comfortable, supported, and at home. That peace of mind is invaluable to our family, and we’re very grateful.

Residents are nice, and staff are friendly. I feel safe and am very satisfied. They have different activities throughout the day and they offer different food choices. My housekeeper is great, she cleans really good. I would refer Atria Grand Oaks to my friends.

I have been at Atria for one year, moving in shortly after my husband died. The staff is very friendly and caring and the residents very welcoming. There are a large variety of activities to keep you occupied and healthy. It is a really great place to live.
February 2026
I visited a friend who lives here and I was impressed with the cleanness of the front lobby, hallways, and dining area. I was greeted by smiling and friendly staff members who appeared to like their jobs. The property is located in a nice part of Thousand Oaks with lots of convenient shopping and dining nearby.

My mom has lived at Atria for 8 months now. She really likes her apartment, has made some nice friends and acquaintances, and most of all appreciates the kind, caring and very accommodating staff. They have really risen up to help my mom after a stint in rehab, helping her to get back on her feet again and making sure she is cared for and looked after. Eden, the executive director, has been extremely helpful in making a difference in my mom’s stay here. My mom’s 104th birthday is coming up and they are going out of their way to make it very special. Thanks to everyone for your compassion and kind attention.

The Engage Life department is truly the heart of this community. Connie is absolutely incredible”her passion, creativity, and genuine care for the residents shines through in everything she does. Jessica in activities is also wonderful and brings such warmth, energy, and attentiveness to the residents every day. The programs are thoughtful, engaging, and bring so much joy and connection. You can feel how much this team truly cares. The driver is fantastic as well”kind, patient, and always making outings safe, smooth, and enjoyable for everyone.

I have had a wonderful experience living here for nearly 5 years now. I have met so many wonderful people and have so many wonderful friends. The staff is very friendly, supportive and helpful at all times. I would highly recommend Atria Grand Oaks to anyone that is looking to make a new home.

My mom has lived at Atria Grand Oaks for over a year and she absolutely loves it. She loves the food, the very attentive staff, and all the new friends she's made. She loves it so much that she even got her 103 year old sister in law move there too. It's five star dining at it's best. The food is so good, that people who go to Mastro's next door actually end up wanting go to Atria instead. Most of all, more than anything the best part about Atria Grand Oaks is the Executive Director Eden. She is so warm and kind, and really treats everyone like family, no joke. Tina, the head of the nursing staff is also exceptional. All I will say is this; if you want a community, and not an old folks home this is the place to move, and let them know Steve Goldberg sent you, as I'll get a finders fee. LOL!

Great facilities and an Amazing staff. Thank you Eden!

Great place for mom. She has found friends and a caring staff Would highly recommend
December 2025
I wanted to write a review to convey a compliment to the staff. I have lived at Atria Grand Oaks for a year. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff. All staff members are attentive and friendly every day. That is unusual these days. They know our names. They are responsive to our needs and requests. The residents are diverse in their capabilities, level of required care, and personalities, yet the staff are patient and kind. While diverse, the residents, perhaps also unusual these days, get along well. All the people at Grand Oaks, staff, residents and management, make this a very pleasant place for seniors.
December 2025
Meeting many new friendly residents and competent staff. I enjoyed the programs. I appreciate Shabbat services, the mahjong, Mexican train, canasta, rummikub, and all the exercises classes. The administrator is very helpful and cooperative.

Senior Living. Excellent place for seniors. Nice dining room with table service. In the heart of downtown Thousand Oaks. Parking not so great. Very nice rooms. Some have washer and dryer.
May 2025
In the five-plus years I have lived at Atria Grand Oaks I have been content but seldom happy. Frequent personnel under-staffing is a common problem that Atria Corporate Management ignores..
April 2025
In the beginning, I was lonely until I started going to the restaurant. I now have friends. I still do not much but When I need something, everyone is available I like it here. This is my home. My only home.
April 2025
We moved into Atria G. O. In January, 2021. Posted 04/20/2025. My wife of 60+ years needed assisted living. I am very satisfied with the many life & health affirming planned activities available to all residents. Ditto for the social environment of the fellow residents, community, where, with minimal effort, one can easily find interesting & compatible, mutually supportive people with whom you can find fellow sports enthusiasts, enduring friendships, poker & mahjong partners, fellow intellectuals, and book club, writers’ workshop, prayer meetings, twice daily award winning movies, a beautifully landscaped park and grounds on the property, dedicated caregivers serving our needs whether you’re an independent resident or need assisted living or the extra attention & support provided in the memory care unit, all on the same property. The whole property is located in a beautiful part of Thousand Oaks, across from the Civic entertainment and administrative center, and a very pleasant, well maintained residential neighborhood. There are regular outings and field trips to local points of interest, like a variety of museums, good restaurants, just sight seeing along the Malibu coast and mountains and nearby parks, The current Executive Director is especially engaging and genuinely cares about the quality of our lives while g CD here. We have a very good and friendly housekeeping, dining room server, culinary, activity, health maintenance and facility maintenance staff. Professional entertainers perform here weekly. At 87, I’m still driving safely. But p have transportation support for healthcare appointments and various enjoyable outings. My wife is now getting the extra assistance she needs on the well-staffed and separate memory care unit. There are excellent nearby restaurants, shopping, etc. This is an excellent place to spend your retirement when the effects of aging make it no longer comfortable to manage a high-maintenance house and home. Nuff said.
February 2025
The employees are amazing. I rarely am this impressed especially since it was a hard decision to put mom in assisted living. From the director to the maintenance people we have nothing but great things to say. They are friendly and accommodating to all residents and family. The food is very good and the residents welcomed mom with open arms. The whole family was impressed and highly recommend Grand Oaks.
January 2025
So grateful! Atria Grand Oaks has been amazing!! Everyone was so helpful in moving my mom in quickly and seamlessly. Thank you!
June 2024
All helpers are all terrific. They know your name and they anticipate your needs. Some of them already know what I want for breakfast. They are very considerate and helpful as my wife is now being assisted with dressing and showering twice a week and managing her medication.

I like it at Atria. Like being on a cruise. Come visit

living here at ATRIA grand Oaks is almost like living in a wonderful resort!
June 2024
Atria Grand Oaks has been my HOME for just over two years. I have good friends, many activities from which to choose, and a feeling of contentment. The beautiful grounds- green grass, rose gardens, Giant Oak Trees, walking paths, cacti, roses and pansies refresh me daily and I am grateful to live here!

My mother has been in Life Guidance at Atria for two years. The staff has helped her so much. Their care and attention has actually helped improve her physical health after the devasting effects of being so isolated during Covid. Dementia is continuing to take a toll on her cognitive health, but with the care she is getting in Life Guidance at 98 years old she is still going strong. She participates in exercise classes, painting, and many other activities. The Life Guidance Program Specialist, Ryan McWorter, has done so much to improve the program since my mom moved in. He is always creating new games and activities to engage the residents. Ryan is the McGyver of game building. He often constructs his own games and challenges. My mom has really connected with Ryan, and all the other staff members. I am so grateful for their care and dedication.

THE SIZE OF THE APARTMENT IS QUITE ADEQUATE FOR OUR NEEDS. OUR APPLIANCES ALL WORK WELL. EMPLOYEES ARE ALL VERY HELPFUL AND EAGER TO MEET OUR NEEDS. THE FOOD IS ALWAYS GOOD SATISFYING. THE GROUNDS ARE MAINTAINED IN WELL AND LOOK BEAUTIFUL. THE WEEKLY HAPPY HOUR ENTERTAINMENT IS OUTSTANDING. THEY HAVE LOTS OF EXERCISE CLASSES TO BE ENJOYED. BOTH JACK AND CAROL ARE GLAD WE SELECTED THIS PARTICULAR RETIREMENT FACILITY OVER FIVE OTHERS IN THIS AREA.
February 2024
I moved in November of last year and there are a lot of activities in and out of the community. You pick and choose what you are interested in. There is something for everyone. Wait staff, housekeeping and all staff have been great. It feels like a family. Along with being part of this community there is such a closeness among residents and staff. Staff members have gone above and beyond in every way to make your day better! I am very happy here. It is a tight net community. Everyone treats you like a family member.

Ryan McWorter the activities coordinator ( program specialist ) is the best. He is very inventive with putting together activities that keep the residents engaged and upbeat. You can really tell how much he thinks about and cares about the residents. He makes activities fun, heck often when I am there visiting my mom I join in. He is a keeper for sure one of the gifts brought in by the former LG director Dona Williams.

We considered having my mom move into Atria Grand Oaks and in the end decided upon a different facility. However, I am writing this to express the attention and care provided to our family by Jessica Torres, The Community Sales Director at this facility. Our family visited Atria Grand Oaks multiple times and Jessica made us feel welcome each time, explaining and showing us how Atria Grand Oaks would meet my mom's needs. In addition to supporting our visits directly, coordinating participation in some activities, and creating opportunities for my mom to interact with residents during our visits, Jessica was quick to respond to all phone communications, always either answering the phone or returning calls expeditiously and doing so in a way that further demonstrated her caring attitude toward my mom as well as all residents. It was also clear that she knew and cared about each and every resident. The attitude displayed through all the actions noted above says much about Jessica personally and also about Atria Grand Oaks.
September 2023
We moved my 85-year-old mom here 5 days ago. She went kicking and screaming the whole time, saying she did not want to leave her house. I made her promise me that she would at least give it a try and keep an open mind. She said she would give it two weeks just to shut me up but made me promise she could go back home after giving it a try. We are now 5 days in and today she said she loves it at Atria and wants to stay. She said that after getting so used to all the friendly residents and staff, she would be so lonely going back to her house. She said the food is wonderful and everyone is so nice. The staff is great and soooo accommodating! Brian Larios, the executive director, helped make the transition for mom so easy. Every resident we have spoken with says they love it there. The bad reviews that you see from a year ago about the staff being bad is not at all what the residents say. They say those reviews were written by a disgruntled employee who was fired and is trying to get even. Our experience is that the staff could not be any nicer. Anything you ask for, the response from the staff is, "sure, no problem". I wish we had moved mom in a long time ago.
September 2023
The care is awesome, the staff is responsive and caring. They keep me in the loop. Mom is safe. I have no regrets in choosing Atria.
March 2023
I am a Senior that came to the Atria Grand Oaks because I needed care and a place to stay while I recovered from complete hip replacement surgery. I loved the facility , staff, and residents so much that I have decided to make this my permanent home.
March 2023
Our experience with Atria Grand Oaks has been very positive. Jessica patiently answered all of our many questions, met with us to do a tour and helped us find the perfect apartment for our mom. She really made my mother and us feel welcome. The staff are kind, caring and efficient. The nurse Diane and her assistant are extremely efficient and so kind. The executive director, maintenance manager, Chef all exceeded our expectations. They all work together to meet the needs of their residents. We highly recommend Atria.

My mother was in need of a place to live after she had a fall , we had very little time to get everything together and we were very overwhelmed. My. husband and I were so happy to have found atria. They made the move so seamless and as stress free as possible. They have gone above and beyond to make as pleasant as possible. Staff is friendly and actually care... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This review is long overdue. Atria Grand Oaks really is a community. It is so great to see seniors being in an environment where their needs are met above and beyond of what I thought was possible. All the people working here are some of the most passionate and giving folks I have ever met. You can really tell this is more than a job for them, they have a calling to help and brighten each and every day they spend with the residents here.

July 2018
I have known some Atria residents that have stayed here for more than 5 years and their family loved it and had great memories and friends within the community. While they may have changed some Directors, current officers seem to be committed to provide best care for the residents. It's also a beautifully designed senior living facility in a nice Thousand Oaks community. I know they have their resident council officers that contribute to keeping the facility a good place to retire and meet friends.
