We recently had to move our mom into assisted living. We visited many different locations. Cogir of Sonoma is a lovely facility with beautiful and safe grounds. A particular standout is the staff. They helped our mom feel comfortable and welcomed. They helped us navigate the onboarding process. We are very happy mom is safe and well-cared for.

We recently moved our mom to this facility, and they made it as easy as possible. The staff has been very friendly and supportive. It has been a smooth transition for her. We had looked at other facilities in Sonoma and found Cogir to be the nicest facility and the most affordable for our situation.

My mom just moved into her new apartment at Cogir of Sonoma Plaza on January 15. She has become very social now that she has so many new friends to share meals and conversations with. The staff all know her name and they know us as her family, too. This is a wonderful place and we are so grateful that she is now part of this great community.

My mother was a resident at Cogir of Sonoma Plaza for 12 years and I couldn’t be happier with the care and facility we chose. The staff is incredibly kind, attentive and professional. They always provided guidance and help whenever needed. The facility is clean and the food delicious- the special holiday buffets are amazing. My mother truly enjoyed activities from outings to playing bridge almost every day and more. She bonded with many there through fires, COVID and increasing age. During these challenging times I saw the staff really step up and be there for the residents. I am forever grateful for the care Cogir gave my mother and for making the last years of her life full of friendship, health and enjoyment.

I cannot say enough good things about Cogir. Like so many people at this phase life, I needed to move my mother to memory care. She was already in the hospital and was I was drowning in over 31 incoming calls in one day from Kaiser. They needed her out and I was receiving conflicting information. We had already contacted Cogir, exploring options. I was able to have Grace Starr talk to the people at Kaiser and suddenly it all came together. The paperwork, the necessary medical tests, the Covid protocols, copies of legal paper work and so much more. There is no way I could have done this without her. We then met with Alyx, the nurse who interviewed my mother. She was professional,, organized and so kind. She recognized when my mom was getting stressed and redirected the conversation. We have moved my mother into this beautiful place, with nice rooms, several outdoor areas and indoor areas with sunshine coming through the windows. The transition for my mom will be hard after 58 years in her home but I am confident they can all handle it. Everyone is very kind and calm. I highly recommend Cogir on Napa Road in Sonoma. My mom has been there a little over a year now and I am still in awe of the care she receives. They celebrate holidays a week before the usual date thus reducing the stress of trying to be 2 places at once. They have incredible buffets and a fancy dinning room and make my mom feel special. Her grandchildren and great grandchild just visited after a long time due to COVID and the staff went out of their way to prepare her and dress her up. She knew she was looking good and showed it. They handle her difficult days and constantly adjust to her changes in health. I am so grateful to them.

Since touring Cogir of Sonoma on Napa Road after touring other places, we have never looked back or wished we had made any other choice! We are so happy with the staff, the amenities the constant activities, including concerts , Barbecues, holiday celebrations And much much more. When it was time for our parents to move out of their home, they did not think they were quite ready. But soon after they moved in, they started to get involved in all of the activities and began to just love it. I am already thinking when it is my time to go to assisted-living, this would be the place I would want to be!! our family gets quite involved in many of the activities when we are able and enjoy them as much as our parents. Our family sends out a big thank you to this facility And all its staff!!!

As a hospice chaplain, I am most interested in my patient’s comfort And compassionate care. All the staff I’ve interacted with have been very generous of spirit and kindness, treating even distressed or Agitated people with complete gentleness. The dining area is lovely with individual tables plus a community table for more social connection “ something I’ve not seen in other facilities.

Beautifully set in the Sonoma Valley, Cogir on Napa Road has been truly a blessing for our father and family. The buildings and grounds are wonderfully kept, we have found them to be warm and welcoming. The staff, which are the most important element to any facility, are absolutely the best. They are professional and friendly, always willing to help with our fathers needs, he truly has become close to many of them. I could go on an on but if you have a loved one who needs a safe wonderful place to reside, Cogir on Napa Road should be a place to check out

We were anxious to find the right fit for our nearly blind, gregarious, nonagenarian aunt and it seems Cogir on Napa Road in Sonoma is the answer. From the start we noticed smiles, not only from staff but from residents as well. And the administration and nursing staff went out of their way to smooth transfer details, greatly easing our stress. Our aunt was delighted with the holiday decorations, access to religious services, many musical and community events, and especially the warm and welcoming fellow residents who happily engage her in conversation. After only a couple days she was absolutely twinkling! She also enjoys the presence of a number of residentss pets, a homey touch she’s missed. And we have been delighted that she’s been assigned a personal caregiver, a warm and capable person who takes frontline responsibility for our aunt’s care. Bravo, Cogir!

My Mom is 99 years old and has dementia. When the time came that she needed help I started searching for a place that I could trust to take care of her as she deserves. I visited several Memory Care places but could not find one that had all the services I was looking for. I wanted a place where she would be safe and be treated with dignity, a kind and compassionate staff, a clean and cheerful environment and a lot of activities and exercise to keep her stimulated. I found all that at Cogir on Napa Road but in Sonoma. After a couple of weeks she has adjusted and is happy with the guidance and patience of a very professional staff. Sunrise is the only assisted living organization that I didn't run out of crying at the thought of leaving my parents in the hands of their staff. Grace Starr gave me many tours of Sunrise while compassionately listening to me and my parents as we made the decision to choose Sunrise as my parents next home. I moved both parents into Sunrise in August 2017. The Sunrise team truly cares about the residents. What is also striking, the Sunrise team navigates as a work family. And, now they feel like family to me. I could not have gotten through these last four years without their care, expertise and ability to love my parents.
