My dad, who is 96, has been here for a year and I highly recommend it for assisted living. I visited many places in Sonoma and Marin and this was always my favorite because of the friendly faces, professionalism and well maintained and peaceful outdoor spaces. There were a variety of floor plans to choose from and the apartments are newly updated with a clean, contemporary design and are bright and airy. The smallest floor plan is a generously sized 1 bedroom unit (no studios) so all apartments have ample space. The caregivers are caring and overall do a great job keeping dad safe and happy. When we walk in the halls or go into the enclosed garden with walking paths, he often looks around and says, nice place--they do a good job here. I especially appreciated the full kitchen (rather than the microwave-fridge snack center offered by other places) so I can supplement his meals with his favorite foods. The dining options rotate through a large variety of menus. Im glad we found this place. And as a bonus, it was affordable for him.

I love this community, I had the opportunity to visit a friend at this beautiful property. I loved that she was able to take an art class, amongst the many classes offered. This was such a blessing, since shes an avid artist. She seems so incredibly happy and that makes me happy. I highly recommend this beautiful community.

I liked Brookdale Sonoma. It was quite attractive; I was well received. They were making some preparations for the Christmas decorations, and a lot of people were participating. The staff was very positive; I was satisfied. I liked the location and the rooms. The pricing is fair. Brookdale Sonoma would be my first choice of the ones I visited.

I have been a resident of Brookdale Sonoma. I was really comfortable with it. I do graphics stuff and poetry, and they have activities to meet my needs. Physically, it was an OK place, and located in the part of town that provides a lot of activities, such as food places outside the campus. It was physically attractive and socially pleasant, and so I was happy there. The food was fine, as well as the variety and the quantity, and it was satisfactory and healthy. The staff was fine and I was comfortable with them.

Brookdale Sonoma is very pretty, the staff is very helpful, and the food is great. I really love my apartment, and they have a lot of activities and lectures for the residents. They have a lawn with nice landscaping and assigned parking with signs as well.

The location of Brookdale is great. It's an older facility and a little beat up, but they're remodeling right now. The assisted living was in one wing and not as pretty.

I like that there is a lot of greenery, a lot of shade, and a lot of outdoor space at Brookdale Sonoma for my mom. She is in a one-bedroom, so she has a bedroom, a full kitchen, a bathroom, and a living room. I ate there last week, and the food was great. She is very happy there. She plays bingo in the morning, and she does bridge in the afternoon. They also take them on bus trips to different places. I would recommend it.

Everything was nice about Brookdale Sonoma. The only thing that we chose not to go there is, one, because my mom would still be in Sonoma, she would not be where we are. The other thing too was if dementia set in and whatever, they did not have a transition to memory care. They don't have a memory care unit, and that would mean another big physical move and the fact that she would still be 12 hours away from us, it was better for us to have her here at the same time. But the facility itself was very nice and very nicely appointed. That they stressed independent and then assisted, so people are more lively because people are more active. We did see the room; you can get a one-bedroom unit and so forth. They were a bit pricey. To me, the facility was very clean and very well-landscaped. The landscaping was very nice, so if you were independent and able to move around -- especially in Sonoma where the weather is conducive to being outdoors -- it was very nicely done with areas to sit and all of that. That we thought was very nicely done. The staff that we met was the marketing staff, and they were very nice. We just saw a few other employees, and they were all smiles, but we didn’t converse with them.

Went to look at the facility. I was inquiring for my mother but I wasn't sure to what was best for her. I thought I know a lot about senior living but I was wrong. I felt so much better when I left the facility after I met with the sales rep at Emeritus. The person I talked too was very kind to show me around the facility, if it was possible, I would have moved my mother there but unfortunately my mother has dementia and needed a different setting. I am impressed with the people who works there, the people who resides there and the location of the facility.

Mom moved in a few months ago at Emeritus at Sonoma. I like the location and the feel of the facility. The price also is affordable for us. The staff is excellent, and the food is fairly great.

We chose Emeritus of Sonoma for my wife, but currently we are on their waiting list as they don’t have any two-bedroom availability yet. I like the location of facility, and their food was satisfactory.

I visited the Sonoma facility, and I enjoyed it immensely! It was so beautiful, with the gardens, and trees surrounding it. It was even beautiful inside. I spoke with most of the staff, and they enjoyed their jobs there. They also tend to love speaking with people, it's one of the only places that I visited that weren't overrun with people, and not enough help, though of course this place was made mostly for the rich people so I could never afford it, but I enjoyed visiting it all the same. My grandmother would have loved to live there, being that she has Alzheimer's she is losing her memories, and mind faster than we had hoped so it is becoming too difficult to take care of her anymore, and she would have loved the view that she would get from one of the rooms within the care facility, I believe anyone would be happy there.
