Thang and Marrisa gave me a tour of Silvergate and answered all my questions and concerns that I had about this transition of putting my Dad in a care facility. This decision to help my Dad and give him the care, safety and home he deserves was very overwhelming for me. They took the time to listen to my story and my concerns and gave me a lot of support and comfort in knowing that I am making the right decision in placing my Dad in a home. I became very relaxed and excited for this by the end of the tour. I called my Dad right away and told him everything about the tour and now he is excited to move and go to Silvergate. It's brought some hope and peace of mind to him, which is something he has not had since my mother passed last year. I look forward to having my Dad go to Silvergate now. They truly wanted to understand my Mom's needs and what we are looking for in a retirement community. Silvergate is definitely very high on our list of communities we are considering moving her to. I liked my tour here very much. The facility is clean and modern. I like the layout of the rooms. The outside areas are inviting. Activities seem abundant. I like the partition in the shared rooms. Room sizes were reasonable. Nice of the marketing employee to send flowers.

From my initial experience on the website through scheduling and going on the tour, everything was handled so well. Good communication, informative conversations, and great options for both Assisted Living and Memory Care, it is a fabulous community. All the residents looked happy and engaged.

It was a very good experience. It checked all the boxes for me in trying to find the right place at the right price for my husband. There is logic in order to how the facilities is laid out. I definitely got a sense of professionalism and caring from the staff that I met, and the things that I saw. I believe my husband would be well taken care of here. That would give me peace of mind Which is priceless.

Our mother has been at Silvergate for 3.5 years. The facility is very nice and well kept. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Recently though, it feels as if attention to patients has declined. Our mother is getting further along with Alzheimer’s and things are starting to slip as far as care. We reach out to ask questions and answers aren’t sure and have to be sought. We have increase the amount at assistance she receives, including the associated costs, and it doesn’t seem to help. Hoping things can improve.

Very caring neighborhood feel at Silvergate. Residents are cared for at their own level and encouraged to participate in all activities. Feels like small family instead of large business. I am glad I chose Silvergate for my Mom.

My mom is comfortable and cared for at Silvergate. She has friends, activities, and people looking out for her. Her meds are managed by the staff, and there's even onsite physical therapy! I feel she is safe and cared for. My only wish would be if they were able to accommodate mom's dietary restrictions, like an official lactose free diet.

My wife visits her friend two days a week. She takes care of her personal belongings. She has had jewelry come up missing. Sometimes found not always. People have ruined her shirts washing them ( shrink). She has nice things and can’t be replaced! My wife left big notes to remind them don’t wash her shirts, sweaters and beautiful jackets!

My friend Al was at Slivergate in San Marcos for about a year and a half, most of that time in memory care. Everyone there was outstanding. Very welcoming and caring. From care givers to med techs to nurses to front house staff, all were caring, helpful, understanding and sympathetic. I can't praise them enough! It was a difficult time for him, and they were all there to help him. If you are looking for a place for a loved one, I highly recommend Silvergate.

Great community in San Marcos! You’ll see as soon as you walk in that residents are happy, busy with activities and socialization, and the staff are just incredible for what they do for the seniors. This community is definitely a place I would recommend for anyone searching for themselves or a loved one!

My mom has been a resident at Silvergate and has had a fantastic experience. The entire staff is not only well trained but incredibly caring and kind. I appreciate the effort put into providing additional assistance, special activities, and delicious meals. This senior community is truly five star- from the beautiful finishes, to the warm and inviting staff. You can truly feel that the residents here are adored and well cared for- and having fun! Joan, the Executive Director, is an absolute pleasure, and has the biggest heart for her residents and staff alike. Highly recommend!
