We had a really good tour of Sagebrook. The facility is really clean and they have an amazing outside area. The staff including the Executive Director Fili were very friendly and helpful. My parents plan to move into Sagebrook in about a month. We'll leave another review once my parents have been living in Sagebrook for a few months and we see how they like living here.

Overall, Sagebrook of SF is clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. My mother has been a resident for two years, and we have never experienced any strange odors or untidiness when visiting. The staff makes sure my mother's room and bathroom is clean, well-stocked with her towels and clean laundry. Her window is always slightly open so there is a nice flow of air. There are always lots of daily activities (e.g. baking, flower arrangement, exercise to disco music, etc.). My mother is in a wheelchair so safety is extremely important. There is always someone to wheel her out to the garden, dining room, and activity area. She has a lanyard-like necklace with a button that alerts staff is she needs to go to the bathroom or be transferred to bed, etc... Someone usually shows up within 5-10 minutes. The facility and healthcare staff are responsive, and you also should be proactive with communication. I'd like to see a more central source for communication as well as regular updates on my mother (e.g. weekly or bi-weekly). Team member Jennine has been our main contact there, and she goes the extra mile. It's been reassuring to know she is there. There is a good sense of community; staff say hello when you walk in, and residents smile and/or wave. My mother is happy and feels cared for at Sagebrook.

Staff friendly and helpful. Some were more willing to get me up and moving. Staff very conscious about response time to call button. Responses to some concerns varied from listening to a problem and fixing it, to putting in a work order, to promises to look into it but no updates given. TV reception was pathetic; I think permanent residents got their own contracts for better reception. This could be improved. I stayed in my room so cannot talk about social activities but I did see a list of activities which was nice. Food served in the room could have been warmer when appropriate. I think there could be less waste if we could have a list for each specific meal and we could circle what we wanted. In my case a lot of butter and jam packets and vegetables could have been saved from the dumpster if I could select or not select them. If you didn't like the items on the menu there were few choices of alternatives. It would be helpful to have a booklet with info on services such as laundry days or van use and requirements. I prefer having control of my meds but I understand why you send someone around delivering them. Too bad they can't deliver therapy services if you signed up for them. I was shocked that I couldn't have a Tylenol unless I had a doctor's order. The occasional pain doesn't seem to require a prescription! Overall rating good but with room for improvement.

Sagebrook is a very nice and pleasant assisted living facility. The staff are very caring and attentive to my mother's needs which I really appreciate. Sagebrook offers many activities and special events to keep the residents engaged. The only minor issue is the quality/taste of the food (per my mother) which could be improved on. Overall I would give Sagebrook a 4-5 star rating.

This review is for a visit only. I went to see Sagebrook in June of 2023, to look at places for my mother. The man, David, who showed me around was very friendly and answered all of my questions. The facility was clean and well cared for. The people looked happy and engaged. The check in policy made me feel like they were really paying attention who came in and out. - but it was friendly. The costs of the facility seemed to be very reasonable for a Bay Area location. I would have liked to have brought my mom out to be in Sagebrook, but her stupid second husband refuses to even let her look at California places near me. Sigh. I think Sagebrooke would have been a great fit.

My elderly and disabled mother has been receiving very good care at Sagebrook Senior Living at San Francisco. They are knowledgeable on handling a hoyer lift, re-positioning my mother to help prevent/avoid bed sores, ensuring that her dietary needs are met according to her health issues, bathing her and keeping her clean, and getting her to socialize and engage in activities. The staff is professional and caring, which is most important. The facility is nicely decorated, bright and clean. The garden is beautiful and always has flowers. I hope the qualify of care here always stays the same. It's as good as the people on the staff and those who lead them.

We toured Sagebrook with my dad because we needed a place for him while his home is being renovated. My mother is in a Watermark property in Florida and has the highest praise for the company, so we welcomed her referral. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. This was the first place we looked and the last. They have everything he needs; they are very attentive, he loves the food and is looking forward to working in the garden! He has even made comments that he could stay here indefinitely. From a son's experience, I know my dad is in good hands and it made my leaving to go back to Florida much less stressful. It feels residential, a place for him to thrive!

We are grateful for Sagebrook and their caring staff. I first met Fili Howard, Executive Director on the 4th of July. She met me on a holiday, to meet my uncle.He was in an awful place and I wanted to move him ASAP. She helped me so much that day and I was so grateful.She also helped with the necessary paperwork to get him moved. She helped navigate dealing with Kaiser and made it a smooth transition. When I came to Sagebrook to see the facility, I knew it would be a wonderful place for my uncle who needed extra support. Our experience has been wonderful. The staff are caring and supportive. The facility is lovely and we are so pleased that we found Sagebrook for my uncle.

A dear friend of mine moved into Sagebrook last November and has been very happy there. We love our weekly visits in the beautiful garden courtyard out back. Fili, the Executive Director, greets residents and visitors alike with her warm smile and makes it feel like home. Laura, the activity director, puts together an amazing line-up of activities, and Marco and Amy are so lovely with the residents as they facilitate the activities, from games to daily exercise to conversation circles around the morning newsletter to flower arranging and art projects to holiday celebrations. The first month my friend moved in they did a gratitude tree and had to write leaves with things they are grateful for. The first thing my friend wrote was "This facility and the staff!" The staff do take good care of my friend and make all the residents feel special and part of a community. Eden and Josefina and all the fellow care staff work so hard to ensure all the residents' needs are met in a caring and compassionate way. Aside from activities and on-going care, Sagebrook even has special programs like bringing in dance students from USF to work with residents over the course of a semester. I'd never had experiences with assisted living facilities before, and I've been really impressed with Sagebrook. Many thanks to the great team there!

In looking for an assisted living facility for our mother, my sister and I visited a number of places in and around San Francisco before deciding on Sagebrook. We liked the size of the community, the cleanliness, the brightness of the interior, the lovely courtyard, and the friendliness of the staff. In the several months that she has been living there, our mother has benefitted from the very respectful, considerate and conscientious staff. When it came time to move Mom to the memory care wing, the staff and administration made the transition as smooth and easy as possible. Now she appears to be doing better than I've seen in a long time. Fili, Jennine, Laura, Juvy, and the whole staff — too many to name; I don't want to leave anyone out! — are taking good care of Mom, which is a relief to me and my family. I would recommend Sagebrook Senior Living to my friends who are considering an assisted living facility for a loved one.

I was able to tour SageBrook Senior Living. It is a very special facility, the staffs compassion for the residents on my 1st visit, was what I was looking for in making my decision to but my loved one. The facility was clean, no smell, just like being at a 5 star resort. Looking at the list of activities, they keep the residents engaged, and the menu has a wide variety of choices to choose from. The Executive Director & Sales Director, showed the same compassion and concern for the residents while I was there. I spent a little over 2 hours touring and talking with the staff. It's a go for me, just doing the paper work!

Sagebrook is lucky to have many staff members who are very warm, friendly, and attentive to the needs of the residents. The building was remodeled a few years ago and boasts very attractive, modern furniture and decor. The main room is very spacious with a grand piano. There are events and musical entertainment. The garden and walking path around the building are lovely, The entire place is surrounded by open space with trees, flowers and birds. It is an easy walk to Trader Joes and shopping center. Kaiser and UCSF is just around the corner. What a location!

My stepfather is living in Sagebrook Living Center for over a year. He is in the Memory Care Unit and I am so grateful to all the staff for the care of him. I am in frequent touch with the staff and always get the updates. Everybody is friendly and caring. Food is very good (my stepdad likes it), the facility has a beautiful courtyard and nice dining area. I cannot thank enough to everybody at Sagebrook, especially during the pandemic for all hard work they do for their residents. They are a good people! This community has changed so much. My sister stopped in with my Mom late at night and had the best tour. The lady was so nice and helpful to my Mom. We came before the remodel and are now looking for my Mom, its so pretty and the staff said hello to use every time we stopped.
