The staff at Golden Pond and First Call Hospice are amazing! My mother is in Memory Care and is receiving excellent care. My entire family is so grateful to them all for the love and care they give her to make her life the best it can be.

I visit Golden Pond every week to see different patients in my role as a chaplain for hospice. Consistently, the staff are kind, attentive, professional, and loving. The building and rooms are well laid out, clean, welcoming and the staff provide a lot of activities and chances for people to interact. Families are well cared for. It is a wonderful community.

I can not say enough about the staff here at Golden Pond. Everyone that I have had the pleasure of dealing with here at Golden Pond has always been incredibly cheerful, helpful, and willing to go above and beyond for even the smallest request that I have made. I couldn’t be happier with the care they provide to the residents as well as their visitors. A terrific place.

Had my sister-in-law here for several months. The staff at Golden Pond are ALL so kind and caring, especially the staff in Memory Care. The management helped us every step of the way and listened to every need/concern. The food was very good and the activities appropriate for her. I wouldn’t hesitate to refer anyone to have a loved one move into Golden Pond and in fact have already made 1 referral.

I work in Sacramento County as an EMT, and through a training program offered by my place of employment, have had the opportunity to get to know the staff at Golden Pond a bit better. First of all, the facility itself is very well kept, and has a very comforting “home-y” feel. However, in my opinion, what sets Golden Pond apart from other communities is the outstanding team that works here. My interactions with staff here have all been more than pleasant. In fact, everyone I interacted with was quite lovely. It was apparent that all of the team members at Golden Pond were happy to be at work. I had the opportunity to teach first aid to a portion of the staff not long ago, and I was pleasantly impressed with the amount of questions that team members were asking. This really showed me just how committed the staff is to being prepared for any future emergencies. From the moment you enter the building, you get the feeling that the staff members here truly care about the residents. If you are looking for a retirement community that is not only committed to, but prides itself on the well being of it’s residents, then you should look no further than Golden Pond.

I think the place is wonderful. Its clean and the staff is great. Caring for people in their last stage of life is not an easy profession either which explains the turn over rate of staff. Some staff has been there for years and it shows they only keep the best personnel. Theyre doing great with my mom. They provide lots of activities. The food is good but probably what could be improved most in my opinion, but not by much. The two other care homes my mom stayed before GP were terrible compared. Im so glad my mom is at GP where I know she is safe and well cared for. Thanks Golden Pond!

I would like to thank Golden Pond and its Director, Lupe Ramirez for taking care of my Father for almost two years. Lupe and her staff always tried to treat my Father like a family member and helped hm feel comfortable in his transition to life in a nursing home. They always called my father by his first name and were very gentle and attentive with my father. Lupe would always give immediate attention to any issues that came up and would always have time to talk. I think the best endorsement I can give for Lupe is that she told me that she wanted Golden Ponds standards to be high enough to have her own Mother stay there someday!!

I thank the staff in memory care for taking such wonderful care of my mother during her last months with Alzheimers. I only wish I had gotten her there sooner. The activities program brought such joy and quality of life to her! We were just too exhausted keeping up with the day-to-day chores and care to plan those aha moments that the activities folks provided her. With all the music and creativity that surrounded my mother, her mind was soothed, her spirit was fed, and her heart felt love and joy. Cant beat that! Even when she didnt remember us, she remembered Bing Crosbys songs (and others). Her foot would tap and her mouth would break into a smile! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I facilitate an Alzheimers Patient Support Group at Golden Pond. Because of this, I see what goes on at Golden Pond on a weekly basis. They are wonderful with the residents who live at the facility. There are always interesting activities going on there. They have a movie theater where they play a different movie everyday. They have a Bistro for snacks, a pub for libations (it has hours posted when it is open), there is also a small putting green area for those who like golf but cant go to the golf course any more and many more amenities. Their activities department is very active and involved with each resident. I havent met an employee yet who doesnt know each residents name. I would have placed my own Mother there if the need had arisen and I love my Mother and always wanted the best for her.

I want to publicly thank the Golden Pond staff for taking great care of my mom and dad! They are not easy people to take care of yet I have never seen any staff lose their patience with them like I do. Lol.Since they have been there now 8 months Jill in the front area has given extra special attention to my parents and that has helped us 4 kids feel comforted.The Med techs and other staff check on my parents all the time and really know them and care for them! We live down the street so are there all the time and see this first hand.We looked at three other facilities and had my mom in one of them but it was way too big and confusing to her. We moved her to Golden Pond then my dad and this is their home now. Thank you Golden Pond for the love and care you show my parents!!!Sincerely, Rodney B.

I met with Jill and the staff when looking for a place for my parents. I have rarely encountered such helpful, caring and informative people. The facilities are clean, well managed and comfortable. They do an excellent job of making the place feel homey and comfortable for the residents. I highly recommend taking a tour and checking it out!

My mom and dad moved in about 5 months ago. They are very well cared for by the Golden Pond staff. We are very please with our decision. Some of the other places were too big and we felt our mom and dad werent getting good attention from the staff at the other homes. They need more medical care now and are looked after well. My mother, Gennalee, has been treated like family from all of the care staff at Golden Pond for the last four years. She always tells me how much she enjoys living there because of the variety of activities and the social interaction. I highly recommend Golden Pond for your loved one.

I facilitate a support group for caregivers at Golden Pond and have done so for over a year now. I have gotten to know many of the residents and their families. I have not met anyone that doesnt enjoy the facility, staff, many activities and outings. Even the Administrator knows each one of the residents and is available to them on a personal basis. And the Activity Director? She is so creative with Carnivals, Car Shows, Musical Entertainment, Theatre, and on and on. Personally, I am a bit jealous because currently I dont enjoy that level of social life and at a younger age...

Transitioning a loved one into a different environment can be difficult on you and the loved one. The folks at Golden Pond were extremely helpful and understanding. They helped make the transition much less bumpy.A family oriented atmosphere with a real sense of communityMy father was very excited about moving in after we first toured the property. All he could talk about was how he was going to arrange the furniture and decorate his Bachelor Pad. LOL!!! It was a great experience from start to finish.

Golden Pond is a GREAT, safe environment for the residents and the employees The Employees take their jobs serious in taking care of our residents and our building. The residents are very sweet and loving. I absolutely love my job.

I just love this place. I moved my friend here and the staff has been exceptional in every way. I cant say enough about this place. I love to visit and participate in all the functions that are available to my friend and myself. The apple hill trip was a blast. Were are looking forward to many more adventures with them. I hope I can stay her at some point in my life. This place is amazing.
