As a traveling band, we’ve had the opportunity to perform at Golden Pond twice over the past year, and each experience has been excellent. The staff consistently show genuine care for the community residents, and they are incredibly welcoming and show remarkable attitudes. The Activities Director, Heather Murdock, brings real passion to her work. She prioritizes events that encourage meaningful engagement with the residents, rather than ones that simply fill the time. We’ve been honored to be included as such entertainers for Golden Pond and have always felt valued. From our experiences, Golden Pond has done a remarkable job of prioritizing an intentional experience for both their residents and guests.

My mother spent the final months of her life at the Golden Pond and the staff did a good job of caring for her. Thanks to the staff's support, we were able to keep my mother out of a nursing home and she was able to die in her apartment under hospice care with my father in the same unit.

My mom has been a resident at Golden pond retirement community receiving assisted living support for over a year. She was recently hospitalized and went to skilled nursing and has finally returned home. And home is what this place has come to be. So the building may be a little older it's charming and homey. Her apartment is a full-sized one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen minus a stove. However with three meals a day she doesn't need her kitchen beyond the refrigerator and microwave. The food is overall outstanding, with a variety of specials and choices available. There is always fresh fruits and salads available and often fresh vegetables. Last night's grilled asparagus with olive oil and seasoning was crisp and delicious. But what really makes Golden pond stand out is the staff. From the kitchen servers to the front desk to the aides that are there to provide support, the kindness and patience and willingness to really help stand above and beyond what Ive seen elsewhere. However I'd be remiss not to also mention the variety of activities that are available on a daily basis that are engaging and fun. There is live music twice a week and at least quarterly there is a big outdoor celebration of some kind where all the families and neighbors are invited. It's really become another home away from home and I'm grateful.

I love this community! It is set apart from others due to the incredible love I see shown to the residents by their staff. Many of their employees have worked here for years and they truly love what they do and the residents feel cared for and adored. I visited Memory Care. The staff are very kind and supportive of their patients. I do believe that they are very understaffed. I’m sure I’m not aware of all of the circumstances, however my concerns are regarding the safety of the patients and their overall wellbeing.

My mom,Dolores, has been at Golden Pond a little over a year. She absolutely loves it! It’s conveniently close to my house and I’m able to visit often. Before she moved in to Golden Pond we checked other facilities and just didn’t feel like they were a good fit. Golden Pond was comfortable right from the start! I never really would be the one to do this. I visited my aunt yesterday. Meet with Josh and Sarah yesterday my aunt had some questions about something that needed to be done in her room. They both did the task for my aunt. I felt the respect and the compassion these two gave yesterday to help my aunt out. I know it's jot easy work but these two staff are amazing. I visit Golden Pond every week to see different patients in my role as a chaplain for hospice. Consistently, the staff are kind, attentive, professional, and loving. The building and rooms are well laid out, clean, welcoming and the staff provide a lot of activities and chances for people to interact. Families are well cared for. It is a wonderful community.

This is the best assisted living facility I have ever been to! I would definitely recommend it as your first choice if you're looking to move yourself or a relative to senior housing. The staff at this location is very friendly, and numerous key team members / directors are long term employees. This is a good indication of how well run this beautiful place is especially given the current economic climate. An extremely clean and quiet, safe and well thought out location. Excellent meals, and more activities than you can possibly imagine. It is an uplifting experience just to visit and appreciate how welcoming and happy the residents are.

We would like to thank Golden Pond for taking care of our parents during their hospice stays. Although it was only an eight month stay between Mom and Dad, the Golden Pond staff were respective and sensitive to their needs. The apartment was always clean and food and fluids were readily available. The management staff were very supportive of family members through the tears and laughs at the end of their lives.

I would like to thank Golden Pond and it’s Director, Lupe Ramirez for taking care of my Father for almost two years. Lupe and her staff always tried to treat my Father like a family member and helped hm feel comfortable in his transition to life in a nursing home. They always called my father by his first name and were very gentle and attentive with my father. Lupe would always give immediate attention to any issues that came up and would always have time to talk. I think the best endorsement I can give for Lupe is that she told me that she wanted Golden Ponds standards to be high enough to have her own Mother stay there someday!!

I want to publicly thank the Golden Pond staff for taking great care of my mom and dad! They are not easy people to take care of yet I have never seen any staff lose their patience with them like I do. Lol. Since they have been there now 8 months Jill in the front area has given extra special attention to my parents and that has helped us 4 kids feel comforted. The Med techs and other staff check on my parents all the time and really know them and care for them! We live down the street so are there all the time and see this first hand. We looked at three other facilities and had my mom in one of them but it was way too big and confusing to her. We moved her to Golden Pond then my dad and this is their home now. I think the place is wonderful. Its clean and the staff is great. Caring for people in their last stage of life is not an easy profession either which explains the turn over rate of staff. Some staff has been there for years and it shows they only keep the best personnel. They're doing great with my mom. They provide lots of activities. The food is good but probably what could be improved most in my opinion, but not by much. The two other care homes my mom stayed before GP were terrible compared. Im so glad my mom is at GP where I know she is safe and well cared for. Thanks Golden Pond!

My mom and dad moved in about 5 months ago. They are very well cared for by the Golden Pond staff. We are very please with our decision. Some of the other places were too big and we felt our mom and dad weren’t getting good attention from the staff at the other homes. They need more medical care now and are looked after well. I facilitate an Alzheimer's Patient Support Group at Golden Pond. Because of this, I see what goes on at Golden Pond on a weekly basis. They are wonderful with the residents who live at the facility. There are always interesting activities going on there. They have a movie theater where they play a different movie everyday. They have a Bistro for snacks, a pub for libations (it has hours posted when it is open), there is also a small putting green area for those who like golf but can't go to the golf course any more and many more amenities. Their activities department is very active and involved with each resident. I haven't met an employee yet who doesn't know each resident's name. I would have placed my own Mother there if the need had arisen and I love my Mother and always wanted the best for her.

I facilitate a support group for caregivers at Golden Pond and have done so for over a year now. I have gotten to know many of the residents and their families. I have not met anyone that doesn't enjoy the facility, staff, many activities and outings. Even the Administrator knows each one of the residents and is available to them on a personal basis. And the Activity Director? She is so creative with Carnivals, Car Shows, Musical Entertainment, Theatre, and on and on. Personally, I am a bit jealous because currently I don't enjoy that level of social life and at a younger age...

I met with Jill and the staff when looking for a place for my parents. I have rarely encountered such helpful, caring and informative people. The facilities are clean, well managed and comfortable. They do an excellent job of making the place feel homey and comfortable for the residents. I highly recommend taking a tour and checking it out!

I thank the staff in memory care for taking such wonderful care of my mother during her last months with Alzheimer's. I only wish I had gotten her there sooner. The activities program brought such joy and quality of life to her! We were just too exhausted keeping up with the day-to-day chores and care to plan those "aha" moments that the activities folks provided her. With all the music and creativity that surrounded my mother, her mind was soothed, her spirit was fed, and her heart felt love and joy. Can't beat that! Even when she didn't remember us, she remembered Bing Crosby's songs (and others). Her foot would tap and her mouth would break into a smile! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
