California Mission Inn (CMI) was one of the few communities A Place for Mom referred me to when I was searching for an independent living community for my 97 year old Mom. I reached out to CMI and Hayden Petrovick got back to me almost right away. Hayden arranged a tour and answered all my and my siblings' questions. We liked what we saw and what we heard, and decided to move Mom in. Hayden then played a crucial role helping my Mom settled in. Fast forward to one year later, We are happy with the friendliness ,helpfulness of the staff, and their openness and willingness to assisting the residents. To me, as a remote family member, I appreciate very much the communication to family members on what's happening in the community. The latest example is the LA fires, especially the Eaton Fire which was relatively close to CMI. I got multiple emails from the management on the condition, and the assurance that CMI was prepared for taking care of its residents should any needs arise. After all, the most important part is Mom is happy where she is. So, a big shout out to Jared, Hayden, Heather, Charlene and all the staff members who makes CMI a safe and comfortable place. Thank you.

My mom passed away in short notice. Although I am used to taking care of my dad, the pressure of being a caregiver, a mom, a wife and a worker at the same time is so great. I kept debating whether I should keep my dad at home or going to Assisted Living. As a result of taking care of my dad single handedly; I couldn't have a normal 8 hour sleep and I couldn't stay for my whole shift. My husband finally convinced me with the reality. It's not possible to achieve all these. So I started researching into Assisted Living. California Mission Inn is only 5 minutes from my house. It calms my mind. At least I can drop in frequently. I scheduled a tour and I am pleased with the cleanliness of the environment. It has a lot of outdoor areas that seniors can sit and walk with a lot of trees and shades. Hayden is our point of contact and I couldn't thank him enough. He helped me with the application process, and always answer my concerns promptly. He is so kind and always listen to my needs. My dad is moving in tomorrow and I will be able to meet the other team members, but so far, I am very pleased with my experience.

One of the best parts is how convenient healthcare is ” doctors and pharmacy services come right to you, which brings great peace of mind. Laundry and restaurant services are included, making day-to-day life incredibly comfortable and stress-free. There are great activity options every week, and the social environment is lively and engaging. The sign-up process was a breeze, especially thanks to Hayden, who made everything smooth and pleasant with their helpful and friendly attitude. We couldn’t be happier with the choice. Highly recommend California Mission Inn to any family looking for a caring, high-quality retirement community!

It was my first choice. Too bad the management is awful and they can't be honest from the get-go. The cheaper alternative but a cheaper stuff cheaper management and a cheaper attitude. Bad experience. Unfortunately my poor mother has to be the one to wait to find a nice place because they were dishonest. Bad business

Can’t thank Hayden enough for his professionalism, his care and empathy he was the friendliest person we’ve ever met during this whole hospice time of my mother-in-laws life. God bless you, Hayden thank you and CA Mission Inn so much for such a beautiful place to stay and for taking really really good care of her! Sorry we didn’t have a chance for her to really enjoy too many days with you, but you are a godsend bless you.

I was thrilled to find this wonderful community for my father after he sold his home and downsized. Searching all over Los Angeles for an affordable alternative to apartment living for my 79-year-old father, I needed a safe and comfortable place with amenities like meals, transportation, and housekeeping. The spacious one-bedroom unit I found here was perfect! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by cheerful staff and smiling residents. The warm, welcoming atmosphere immediately felt like home, and my father felt it too. He's excited to begin this new chapter. I especially want to thank Hayden and the Director for their exceptional support. When the original apartment became unavailable, they went above and beyond to find a solution for my father. We are incredibly grateful for their kindness and dedication.

As newly appointed POA for my mother, I was completely overwhelmed and needing to find a safe place for my mom's long term care quickly. The moment I walked into California Mission Inn I was astonished at how beautiful and clean the facility was. I had toured many others that were very sad, dark and dirty, so I knew I wanted her in there almost immediately. What sealed the deal was touring with Hayden, and how calming and wonderful he was. He answered all of my questions in person, and even the ones I had after I left with lightning quick speed. I put down the deposit the very day I toured and got her in immediately. He went above and beyond working with the horrible SNF she was in that I wanted to get her out of VERY quickly, and he made it all happen so fast...even on a short holiday week.

California Mission Inn is probably the best facility in San Gabriel. It’s not pretty or fancy with expensive furniture and art, but it’s the real deal when it comes to care and quality of human touch. I moved my mom for economic purposes and although it has helped with the savings, I wish I knew what I know now when this was initially happening 5 years ago. In summary. You’re in good hands at California Mission Inn.

California Mission Inn has taken good care of my mother at California Mission Inn. Whenever we need/ask for assistance with her (preparing her for us to pick up for an event or reminding her to drink her water) they have been very attentive to the need. The front desk staff always greet me with a smile whenever we see each other. The warm and welcoming reception calms me down and reassures me that my mom is in good hands. They call me personally when there is a question or need for my mom. Recently when my mom was in the hospital the attending staff person called me to get an update on her. I was touched that went above and beyond to find out about my mother and how to help her.

Wow. The staff at California Mission Inn... amazing. Mona, Shannon found their calling in life. They are so engaged with each and every resident... know all and their families by name.. they are both extremely knowledgeable in working with the elders. No matter when I show up to visit.. they greet me with big smiles and tell me exactly where my mom is.They were so patient and caring with my mom who has early onset dementia Mom is always well cared for.. it's so reassuring and appreciate finding such a great fit.. nice place. The food and menu choice.. excellent. Thanks to Jeff the administrator too.. for jumping through hoops to get mom situated and comfortable.
