My dad was there for a week. The staff was awesome and very helpful. Yes, the building is old but I would rather have good staff in an old building than poor staff in a fancy new building.

I had a loved one there for 2 hours and the place was absolutely horrible. In the time he was delivered he was never taken care of. He had an obnoxious roommate who had no respect for others loud television and loud relatives it was horrific. While observing the premises I noticed there was a woman screaming in her room the staff closed the door so that nobody would be disturbed but in the hour that I was there no one went to see why the woman was screaming. When it was time for snacks or meals all over the nurses disappeared because those were the people who did the cooking. It reminded us of a mortuary in the entire facility. Needless to say I checked my loved one out of there immediately. Shame on Kaiser Permanente for using that as a contracted facility.

My friend has been staying here at Alta Vista for over a year now. He's from the boomer generation, which if you didn't know, means he automatically has a somewhat abrasive way of communicating (everyone from that generation pretty much does, it is what it is), though at his core he's a good dude. And he still manages to get along with staff and other patients here pretty well and enjoys his routine. I've seen some improvements in his mobility and his overall sense of well being since coming to Alta Vista. (My only suggestion for improvement to the staff would be just drop the mail off to the patient right away... that's easy to do, nevermind holding their mail and wasting time.) Other than that, everything at Alta Vista has been going smoothly. And shout-out to the social work staff for helping him purchase clothing items, etc.. God bless the entire staff and everyone at Alta Vista for providing a nice environment for my homie. P.S: he requires a medium-level of care; if your relative requires a high-level of care, that's a different ballgame I can't speak on. Peace!

Special Thanks first to Kim-Case Manager who was so diligent in keeping on top of all necessary needs and appointments. Nurses: Paulina, Theresa, Anna, Stephen, Nester. You were all so caring and professional in caring for me. CNA's: Dana, Monica, Alesha, Brianna, Maria , Maggie. Thank you for the kindness and gentle care you provided. Physical Therapists: Melanie, Chris, Virginia, Tommy. Thank you for getting me the strength needed to improve every day. Pushing me to work harder to accomplish my goals. Sorry about any whining. Dr. Patel and P.A. Richard: such kindness and understanding of my special medical needs and setting reachable goals for me. Activities Director: Lisa, such kindness ,making sure to inform staff if I needed help. If I have missed anyone, sorry. Everyone at Alta Vista, including the students provided such a positive and caring environment. There is one thing that I must take issue with," Diapers". Really was so uncomfortable and degrading. At Alta Vista my mother is always clean, well-dressed, warm, and well fed. If there are any problems with ang clients, I have not seen it and I a nurse myself for over 35 years. I like this place a lot - so do my sisters. They also keep the facilities clean and the see after any wounds that the patients may have. I have not found anything negative about Alta Vista. I just wish that doctors actually sit & talk with the patients DPOA.

Leaves alot to be desired....so not leave your ill loved one there.....alone.....you have to follow up constantly to make sure they are taken care of....every day....sad...

Clean location. My father was staying here and when he was dispatched I did not get a notice regardless of being in his contact list. Some staff members are weird. They would ask the elderly how many girlfriends they had back in their youth. It felt very inappropriate.

To start off, I do not write reviews. But, I am so thankful and impressed by Alta Vista Healthcare I felt the need to do so. The care there was exceptional, I was informed at all times about my care and any changes. The managers checked in with me almost daily! Rehab gym is big and even treated me on the weekend. I am thankful my doctor referred me to this place.
