I have a father in law that lives at river commons at it has made his life so much better he loves it there he is doing so much better now it has been about two years and he has a life again I also have a brother that has a disability and he has tried to live on his own but that has not worked out and just recently has decided to move to river commons which I'm sure will made life much better for him I have got to know some of the staff there and can say they are most compassionate and caring people I know one person in particular is a wonderful person named Jennifer she has went beyond to help are family and she is a very special woman so I thank you from the bottom of my heart and want you to know that she is a wonderful and caring woman

When confronted with the realization that my Mom could no longer stay in her home alone, we began searching for an independent senior living facility. We looked at several, and while they all had pros and cons, River Commons just stood out well above every other place we visited. The staff especially stood out. With 30 years of law enforcement behind me, I'm all about getting a good feeling from the staff of any establishment, especially when it's my family involved. We stopped every staff person we came across and every single one was attentive and never came across as in a hurry or too busy to talk. Everyone went out of their way to ensure my questions were answered to my satisfaction and that we had everything we needed. It may sound silly, but the food was absolutely fantastic! We had several meals and all were very good, not bland or skimpy at all. Every area was clean, tidy and in great condition. There were no shortcuts taken on maintenance or upkeep… I'm one of those folks who open up things like maintenance panels to see if only the visible areas are cared for or if the unseen is also kept up… and everything was top-notch. Kudos to the team at River Commons! Many of the staff have been here over 10 years, and that alone speaks volumes as to the working conditions…and it shows. The staff are happy, and most importantly the many residents we inquired with had nothing but great things to say about living here.

My dad moved into River Commons a few months after my mom died. He was heartbroken and didn't want to move, but he was unable to take care of his house and property any longer. He found this place and decided it was the one. They made him feel at home, and although my dad said he'd never play bingo, he decided to try it once. He had so much fun he played almost every time. The staff is amazing, always kind, and they treated my dad like a family member. Jennifer was so kind, and always did whatever she could to help. My dad's health declined and he had to be moved into hospice. He hated leaving his "Home" bit will carry his memories with him. Thank you to everyone who made my dad's life so good there. I truly appreciate it, and so does he.

River commons Senior Living is a beautiful warm, comfortable place to live this. The staff is absolutely wonderful, the apartments are spacious and well done, we have entertainment with happy hour usually once a week it's just a great place to live…

A few months ago, I moved my brother into River Commons. I have been overjoyed with this experience. Not only is my brother very happy, but I find River Commons staff to be very nurturing and involved with the residents. There are lots of activities to choose from, and outings to local restaurants, etc. The place is delightful!!! I feel exceptionally fortunate to have found River Commons, and there actually was space available for my brother!!

Mom truly loved River Commons. The staff always treated her with love and compassion. She loved all of them. She enjoyed making new friends and engaging in conversation with them. River Commons offers a family-oriented atmosphere plus an intimate, cozy feeling of caring and love. I do not hesitate to recommend River Commons. They are a class act!

We are so happy that we found River Commons for our mom and dad. When it comes to senior living, it's all about the staff and there is none better than the ones at River Commons. The office, housekeeping and dining staff always go above and beyond. They create an atmosphere that seems more like family than like a business!

I toured and researched many places before my parents moved into River Commons. I can begin to say how wonderful it is. All of the staff are so kind and caring. My mom says she feels like they are family and I couldn't agree more.You can see they take pride in what they do and it shows. When you walk it feels like home. It is always nice and clean and comfy. One thing I notice is that everyone that works there is always smiling and helps make River Commons a happy place to be. There are plenty of activities to join in on. The food is FABULOUS! Restaurant quality made by the staff with a nice variety.

My mom and I went to about 4 different places locally that came highly recommended. Some were too old, some too new and some were too expensive. River Commons was just right. The staff are great and the only thing that beats that are the residents. What I like is that they serve a noon meal together. The residents sit together and the service staff wait on them and serve them. It's a chance for the residents to get to know eachother and be social. Another place in town that we looked at did 3 meals a day restaurant-style dining which initiallysounded lovely, but if you don't know anyone there you may be eating alone a lot. Independent Living is a transition for my mother. After living in a house for as long as I can remember and being married to my dad, apartment living and being a widow is a big change. Having staff and people there to keep an eye out has been so incredibly helpful. If you are looking to transition a loved one to an independent living community, I would highly suggest you give River Commons a try.

My mother has been at River Commons for 3 years and it has been such a wonderful place for her. The staff is so caring and strives to provide personalized service to make their tenants feel special. These are independent living apartments with full food service and a front desk staffed 24/7. I love the beautiful setting and appreciate every staff person at River Commons. They make it top notch!

I have enjoyed my stay here for 18 months. The food is great. We have a great activity director. He keeps our activities coming. We have a bunch of activities daily. This keeps us fit and have fun things to do. We have one large activity once a month our building is turned into a place to visit.. Decoration, art work and food are all combined for a big party. We have partial maid service to make our living easy. We have a bus that takes us to doctors, shopping and just a ride for fun. I am in a wheel chair but my independence is unhampered with the RABA medical bus that takes me anywhere in the Redding area door to door.

River Commons (formerly River Oaks) has been working with Hansens Moving and Storage for many years. We enjoy working with the entire staff at River Commons. We have moved many happy tenants to River Commons. The facility is beautiful and the staff is professional and courteous!

I have lived here since August 2016, this is my home for a long time and I dont plan on moving. I love my apartment, I also have covered parking right outside. The meals are really good, I havent been hungry since Ive moved here. The bus trips are always fun and so are the activities, I call bingo several times a week. I have made many new friends since moving here, I feel right at home.
