Debra is such a blessing and so wonderful to work with. She has been helping my 101 year old Father find the best possible place for him to live. Although Merrill is not a good fit for him at this time, she went above and beyond her call of duty to help him. Her vast wealth of knowledge regarding referrals, placement, home care ect. is helping me find the best place for him to live in his last years of life.

Chelsea Zubillaga, the Active Living Director at Merrill Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga' has been a lifesaver for me, she has rescued me many times from my computer problems. when I ask for her to come to come help me, she always comes and spends as much as an hour solving all my problems. She is truly a treasure for me, for all of us who live at Merrill Gardens and for Merriil Gardens.

Merrill Gardens at Rancho Cucamonga is a warm, welcoming place, situated in a neighborhood of schools, churches and parks. The apartments and facilities are beautiful and spacious and the staff truly seem to care about the people who live here. My wife, Kathy, and I especially appreciated Deborah and her staff, who were gracious, made themselves available to us and took time to answer all of our questions. Thank you!!

My mother in law just moved in last month and she has not been happier. Very safe environment, Very friendly staff, Lots of daily activities. Rooms are beautiful and well equip. You will have complete piece of mind that your loved ones are well taken care of here.

The worst place on earth! Never send someone you love there. Beautiful location but no care service or any compassion. All they want is money. It’s. Hell hole.. The food is gross. Lousy care staff. No customer service. I had maintenance men helping me in the bathroom and I was paying more than z$100 a day for service. No real activities…boring schedule. Just a nightmare…I left after 60 days. I cried everyday there that I was such a sucker…so trusting. I warn anybody to not consider Merrill Gardens ever….they are total creeps. Spend you money on af cruise…better service, food and Imment. Live your last days Cmerrill free. You will thank me.

It is like living in a beautiful resort! It is amazing. The staff are so compassionate, patient, and attentive. They really get to know the residents and cater to their every needs. The individual client rooms are beautiful and spacious. The facility is kept spotless! The activity directors keep the residents so busy with activities and excercise. My mom is now thriving there!

My Mom has lived here since October 2018. Merrill Gardens is an upscale Independent, Assisted Living Apartment Complex. It was a wonderful place for her and hopefully will be again. Covid 19 has been a very trying time for all of us but, even more so for the seniors who live in Senior communities everywhere. Total lock down for each resident. No outside visitors except through glass. I have only seen my mother to take her to Dr appointments. In the last few months of this pandemic they have implemented small group activities and rotating meals in the dining room at a safe distance. I only hope that not too far in the future my Mom will be living the life she did the first year and a half she lived there. (The short day trips, lunch & dinner with her group, cards in the afternoon, pool aerobics, and general enjoyment of the other people she became close with while living there. Merrill Gardens is lucky to have such a wonderful Activity Director, Jakina Tate. She has been a shining light through this trying time. Her fun ideas to make each day enjoyable and entertaining for the residents is unsurpassed. Recently the staff have implemented three different electronic programs (apps) for residents and their families to join to keep up-to-date on info and daily things going on in the community. Of course we get a lot of info from our family members who live there but these new apps are filling in the blanks of what is planned on a daily basis. Since March all meals have been delivered to each apartment. Learning to function during the pandemic has been trying for the staff. Everything changed overnight. Menus have had to be rethought for home delivery. During normal times in the dining room, the menu would have 2 different main entrées and monthly regular menu items to choose from. They have now made available the same type of menu for in room pre-ordering their meals. Jakina and the staff have made a point to visit each resident to brighten each day. The ice cream truck, hall doorway activities and workouts keep people involved. Just in the past week residents have been able to go walking in and just outside the complex. My Mom was used to walking outside the building every morning with another resident. March stopped that. Shes 91 years old and is enjoying the walking and comraderie of the others. 91 for Mom is not what the norm is. She uses her iPad, Smartphone and other electronics like the pro she is. For others that are not as computer literate, Jakina Tate set them up to FaceTime with family and friends separately, just another great idea from Jakina. I think all the staff have been extra helpful and kind to the residents. God bless all of you for being there while we families cant. Merrill Gardens Rancho Cucamonga is a great place to live!

I moved my mother here after having her live in our home for almost 10 years. It is a challenge to have her separated from me and every day for the first month, she has concerns. I want to thank the staff, Nurse-Tricia W,, Activities Director-Jakina T, Maintenance-Hanny, and the numerous staff I know by name, Victoria, Michelle, Alexis, Mayra, Elizabeth, (Monica, Nicole?). To the others I have not remembered or named, I am so grateful and thankful for the patience and quick response to our concerns. To those who comment on price, I think the value exceeds the cost at this facility. There is no price too high for attitude and caring that all the staff exhibits. My last shout out goes to Katie R. for showing me endless available apartments, Barbara who was there when Katie wasnt, Jeananne in Billing and of course David T, director. I couldnt have done this without all of your help!

i have lived here since october 2018. during ths time Jakina Tate has been one of my strongestr supporters. when she was a driver, she always went above and beyond in assting me . as head of Active Living Director she has provided me with essential suppport in dealing with my computer and phone problems, always going the extra mile to ensure i can communicate as necessary. her friendliness has eased my life enormously in ensuring that i make the best of what Merrill Gardens has to offer. we need thousands like her.

My Mom moved into Merrill Gardens several months ago after being totally independent. She has a beautiful one bedroom apartment, with all her belongings that are important to her, including her very loved little dog. The facility is beautiful, maintained and very clean. The staff is wonderful,caring and get back to you as soon as you have concerns. We checked out several facilities before selecting Merrill Gardens, it was by far, and continues to be the best option in every way.

I am really happy with Merrill Gardens! My mother-in-law has been living here since they opened. She is 94 years old. They are so kind to her and treat her with such respect! They have been very attentive to all her needs. We have been in other assisted living facilities but none of them have treated my mother-in-law is kind as this one has. They have an amazing staff who not only look out for her but also look down the road and anticipate her needs that may be on the horizon. I can honestly say they deserve a five-star rating!
