Allara is fantastic with my mom. We moved her in at the beginning of February. It did take her some time to adjust but the staff have been super friendly and patient with her. They have lots of daily activities for all the residents to do throughout the day from movies to bingo and themed parties for holidays. Outings to local restaurants and groceries. If yer looking for a cozy relaxing helpful place for your loved one(s) I highly recommend Allara. They've also helped me alot with learning how things work there and getting financial things squared away and keeping me "in the loop" as to how she's doing.

I recently had the pleasure of attending an event at Allara Senior Living in Rancho Cucamonga, and I was truly impressed. The event took place in their beautiful courtyard and terrace, where the chef prepared an incredible spread”everything was thoughtfully presented and absolutely delicious. After the event, I had the opportunity to tour the community. I was able to meet Cindy, the Senior Director. She was welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the care and environment they provide. The entire facility is exceptionally clean, beautifully laid out, and has a warm, inviting atmosphere. The staff I encountered were all friendly and attentive, which speaks volumes about the level of care residents receive. I would absolutely consider Allara for a loved one if the need ever arose. Highly recommend taking a tour if you’re exploring senior living options in the area!

Addendum to my original post..... We moved my dad in 3 months ago and have since moved him out. It was not a good fit for him. Allara is a beautiful facility with nice amenities for assisted living folks. However, the memory care lacks appropriate supervision and assistance. Three separate occasions, I pulled the emergency pull cord in his room because my dad needed help and nobody ever came. The caregivers are not aware of the calls until someone upstairs calls them. Strange system and ineffective. Poor ratio of caregivers to residents. If your loved one needs assistance with feeding, they will lose weight as there is often not enough help in the dining area. I was present when a caregiver made a rude comment about my dad and she didn't realize I was sitting there. She later apologized. There were certainly very caring caregivers, which I'm thankful for. Sadly, my dad declined greatly during the couple months that he was there. I would recommend a smaller board and care for memory care family members with more supervision. But do your research! Original post..... Brenda has helped our family with the difficult decision to place my Dad in a memory care facility. She has shown compassion and kindness throughout the process. She has helped us navigate this season of life and given us helpful information and tools to learn more about Alzheimers Disease. So far, my dad has been at Allara for a little over two weeks. We have been in constant communication with the staff regarding his care. Most of the caregivers have shown genuine care for the residents, as it is a very demanding job requiring lots of patience and understanding. It's important for the family to be involved in helping the staff get to know your loved one. If I have questions about anything, I say something and it is acknowledged by the staff. Some staff members that stand out to me are Brenda, Aurora, Steven, Daniel, and a couple other caregivers that I don't know the names of. They keep the residents busy with activities and treat them with respect and dignity. The director Matt, has been very personable and accessible and easy to communicate with. I am hopeful that Allara will continue to be a place of rest and refuge for my dad in this season.

So Grateful for Allara Senior Living Community My Aunt moved into Allara Senior Living about four months ago, and we couldn’t be happier. We viewed lots of facilities with my cousins, and Allara is by far, the best Senior Living in the area. From day one, the staff has been incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. Matt Ryan and Brenda have helped make this transition so smooth and have gone out of their way to help her feel comfortable and at home. My Aunt lived in her past home for 55 years, so this transition was not going to be easy. We sold her home, and she had to downsize into a smaller place, not an easy move when your Aunt is used to living in a big home. It took a few months to settle in, but once she did, it all worked out! Moving to Allara was the best decision. Room and laundry are cleaned once a week, she has three meals a day, plus activities she can engage in with others living at Allara and most importantly, her doctors come see her and make sure she’s getting medical attention when needed. It’s amazing to see how happy and engaged she is ” she’s made new friends, enjoys the activities, and always talks about how much she enjoys her new friends she’s made. The facility itself is clean, cheerful, and full of warmth, but it’s really the people who make it special. You can tell they truly care about every resident. Every time I visit, the staff is so friendly. I’m filled with gratitude seeing my Aunt smile, and I’m so happy that she lives close so that I can see her every week. After an intensive search and visits to several memory care communities, I placed my mother at Allara Senior Living. It’s not the closest location to my home, but it was the best decision for my mother. Her memory loss and worsening dementia made her a handful for any caregiver, and the family wasn’t able to keep her safe at home. Allara is the perfect combination of dedicated, compassionate, caring, competent staff and an environment where Mom got the emotional and supportive engagement she needed and loved”thanks to the above-mentioned AMAZING staff. The community is well-managed, clean, bright, SAFE, and welcoming. The services, from meals to housekeeping to laundry services, to activities, are excellent. The staff and residents have a familial connection. My mom loved her caregivers and they returned her affection. Over my many months of visits, the staff became my family as well, supporting us as my mother became more fragile. Mom passed a few weeks ago and the caregivers experienced the loss as deeply as the family. If you need memory care for a loved one, I highly recommend Allara Senior Living

Another update (3 years later) My mom has had good experiences here at Allara, there have been a few Executive Director changes during this time. Recently I brought forward a concern to Matt Ryan, the new Executive Director, I found him to be compassionate, shows empathy and gives value to my mom. He listened to my concern and brought forward a reasonable solution. I want to reiterate how Mr Ryan LISTENED to what I had brought forward, this is a very important trait. At the same time, he was respectful and kind. He is a wonderful addition to the Allara community! Thank you! Update: My mom has lived here for 20 months, she was able to drive at the time of move in, but now no longer drives. Because I live out of state, my mom needed transportation to and from her appointments. I want to recognize Carla, she has been a saint in helping with this monumental task! She is so kind and understanding with my mom! Carla takes my mom to the appointments and brings her back. I can't thank her enough for working with us and always treating my mom with kindness! There are so many workers there that go above and beyond their duties for the residents there! I have called the front desk and spoke to Sandy and Darlene many times and they are very helpful with my concerns or questions. I remember over the summer the electric company had a planned power outage that was going to occur overnight and my mom was not dealing well with it. I called the front desk to tell them I ordered some lanterns online and when they were delivered could they help get them ready and install the batteries. They did that and my mom was so happy to get them, all ready to go for her that night. It's that little extra above and beyond moments that I am thankful for! Alexis and Carla just did the fall festival that occurred on Friday, even though I didn't attend, my mom called me after she attended and was so happy talking about everything that went on; the games, fun activities, wonderful decorations and great company and so much more! She said she hadn't laughed that hard in a long time! Alexis and Carla are fantastic at planning activities, my mom would play upwards scrabble with Alexis and it meant a lot to my mom (and myself), thank you! My mom is a game player and I can't be there to play with her. Again its those little extra above and beyond moments that the employees go to that make a big difference. Marc the handyman has also been really helpful to my mom on maintenance in her apartment. He just recently helped her clean out a diaper genie type contraption that my mom uses for the cats litter box and I was so thankful! He didn't have to do that, but did, thanks Marc! I know there have been employee shortages there, my mom has talked about that. I do believe that there are a lot of companies with shortages and Allara is not immune to this, but I have had some wonderful experiences with the employees there and very much appreciate them! My mom went to a rehab facility after a hospital stay. She needed to be moved into an assisted living facility. I live out of state, it was very hard to do such a thing from far away. But an angel appeared, Scott Marinis at Allara! He was so helpful, kind, empathetic and most of all gave value to my mom. She wasn’t just another elderly resident. We were working on a tight timeline and Scott just went above and beyond to get us to move in day! And I still keep in touch with him since my mom moved in. The whole staff at Allara are angels! I wish I could name them all, but the names I remember are Ruth the nurse, Rob a sales director, Anthony with maintenance, LeeAnn the Executive Director and all the staff that are helping my mom everyday and making/serving delicious food!! Thank you all!! My mom tells me every time I talk to her I love it here!, it just warms my heart to hear this from my mom who has fought the assisted living for years! Thank you Allara!!!!

Our experience with Allara has been very positive and the staff has been helpful and knowledgeable. The staff has been patient with my mother who has memory problems and can be difficult at times. The food has been quite good as we have dined there a number of times to keep my mother company. The recent Thanksgiving Celebration was excellent and my mother enjoyed it. The following members of our staff have been amazing. Vicki has helped me from day one and continues to help me when needed, Alicia is so good with everyone that can’t help themselves. KJ is amazing and always smiling. Urma is so good helping with everyone. Aleatha is absolutely amazing and such a sweetheart. Lucy is good. Alex is a great cook and also is amazing at serving us our food too. Maru does our cleaning so good and has helped with serving food in an emergency when she wasn’t even asked to, because someone was stuck in traffic and she knew we needed to eat. Veronica has been nothing but amazing at cleaning and making sure everything is good. Mark The Man he does it all. Allara would be lost without him. He hears something needs to be fixed he is on it. He is the only one that puts out the balloons and the tour signs every morning and takes them in every afternoon on the days he works. Sandy, Darlene and Carla always greet you with a friendly smile and a hello. Alexis always hits it out of the park. Always going above and beyond with anything and everything we need. From helping us with and teaching us how to use our cell phones, Apple Watches, iPads etc , to playing games with us, to doing our nails, to pulling off an amazing fall festival, to decorating our home all year long. To getting us out of our rooms to play games in the bistro, and to laughing and having fun.

I have been living in Allara Senior Living since March, 2021. Allara is a very nice place to live and the staff are amazing. Any time I need someone to get my packages Sandy at the front desk is there to grab them. Any problem I have Sandy is there to answer . The front desk is always there with a smile, no how busy she is serving the residents and visitors at Allara Senior Living. Darlene also suppers over front office on the weekends. Darlene always kids me about my Kansas City football team, which is a lot of fun. Whenever I need to get groceries,etc, Darlene will ensure I get my packages to me. Darlene is always up to help the residents when they play games such as Bingo, etc. Darlene is really fun. Carla transfers the residents to their medical appointments. Carla gets there in time and I feel secure when she drives me to the medical and the occasion shopping trip. I count on her. Carla works with Alexis playing games and memory challenge. Alexis, Vibrant Life Director, is very busy at work. Alexis opens up the Bristo around 2:30 daily and the games start open. Games such as Bingo, Name that tune and charades are played. Memory Challenges are followed along also. Alexis is always there if a resident has a problem, be it, there tv is broken, a question or a personal problem. Alexis always has a smile or a giggle and she is just fun to be around, I am so glad that Alexis is here at Allara and I’m so glad I know her.

I don't understand how a facility with so many issues has a 5 star rating. My first impression of this was great, they give you a tour and tell you all the care and "amenities" they are able to provide and there are none.They are always short staffed which makes the response time for the patients a problem ( very dangerous).They are not equipped to handle any non ambulatory client. The caregivers are great and try their best but because they are not required to have a previous schooling or training (CNAs at least ), they do not understand how to care for or problem solve for clients who require total assistance espercially with transfers ( also very dangerous). Some of the staff work around with personal grudges which should never be the case here. ALL STYLE NO SUBSTANCE.

I have been struggling with the idea of placing my parents in a senior community, and I have been discouraged by some of the other places I have visited. That was until I visited Allara. This place is very nice, and I can even imagine myself living there. After getting a complete tour of Allara community and seeing all it has to offer, from movie theater, card room , demo kitchen , activity room, to the physical therapy room , salon, not to mention the bistro and beautiful outside courtyard, we were sold. Not only did Rob answer all our questions and concerns but even took the time to ask us questions about my mom and her particular situation. Rob and Leeann went above and beyond to help get my mom situated comfortably into Allara. Their extra effort and assistance didn’t stop after she was moved in . They continue to make sure my mom is comfortable and happy. Every staff member we meet has such a positive, upbeat attitude. It’s such a relief to know my mom is in a safe , attentive senior living community. My mom has already made so many friends and is thriving! I highly recommend Allara and encourage getting a tour to see everything it has to offer!
