We were so lucky to have found Hampton House! A big, assisted living place didn’t work very well for my mom, the smaller home environment that Jeff, Neda, Alma, and the other caregivers provided was perfect and in a lovely neighborhood. Mom quickly became part of the family, felt secure and well taken care of, and that set my mind at ease. Most importantly, mom was happy. She loved the food and the personal attention. Mom enjoyed talking sports with Jeff and playing bingo with the girls, they always had time to chat with her. Changing medications were easily managed by the staff. I always felt welcome to visit at any time or call the staff with any questions/requests. The home was always neat, clean, and secure. My only regret is that we didn’t find Hampton House sooner! I highly recommend Hampton House.

A Safe Haven for Our 95-Year-Old Mother Highly Recommend for Asian Families: After my mother suffered a serious fall requiring brain surgery, my sister and I faced the overwhelming task of finding a 24/7 care from out of state. We visited numerous assisted living facilities and boarding homes in Pasadena, and this home stood out immediately. Peace of Mind for Families Living Far Away: The house is located in a peaceful, safe neighborhood that is centrally located and easy to reach. From day one, owner Jeff Yang has shown genuine compassion for residents and take pride in maintaining the highest standards. My sister and I finally sleep well at night knowing our mother is in excellent hands. Exceptional Care & Attention: With a small staff-to-resident ratio, every guest receives plenty of personal attention. The staff are professional, fluent in English, attentive and genuinely caring. Night staff sleep onsite and are available anytime for requests-this 24/7 availability is crucial for us. Wonderful for Asian Families: The Filipino staff prepare delicious international cuisine with Asian specialities that feel like home. My Chinese mother now lives comfortably alongside other Chinese and Japanese residents in their 80’s and 90’s who get along beautifully. The cultural understanding and familiar foods have made her transition so much smoother. Beautiful, Immaculate Environment : The house itself is gorgeous and kept spotlessly clean. Fresh meals are cooked onsite daily, and staff lead engaging group activities each afternoon. My Mother’s Journey: She moved in this September, initially struggling with leaving her own home. Now, just weeks later, she is comfortable, and content with the caring staff. Seeing this transformation has been a gift to our family. Vacancies are rare here for good reason. If you are searching for quality care for your loved one, I highly recommend scheduling a private tour soon. Yes, the cost reflects premium service, but for families entrusting their parents to strangers, this level of care is worth every penny.

When we were looking for a place for my abuela/grandma, I came across Hampton while looking on Google Maps to see what was near where my parents lived. It felt like the most magical of finds and it truly was a godsend. She had been suffering at a skilled nursing center after a broken hip/surgery, and caring for her at home was becoming untenable for my family, even with the support of hospice. Within a few months of coming to Hampton, she went from near death to living over a year, with improved health and quality of life. The care she received there was absolutely incredible, it was as if she was their own grandmother or parent. Each of the caregivers who took care of my grandma were truly the most kind, loving and professional experts at their work, including Neda, Alma, Helga and Emy. The owner, Jeff, and his family, welcomed us and my grandma like we were family, and they went above and beyond to care for her. From purchasing her favorite peach ice cream, creating delicious meals to her liking, to helping her put her makeup on to coordinating her care and helping her through every step of the day, everyone at Hampton created one of the most loving environments for her (and for my family). My grandma fell in love with everyone there because they took such incredible care of her, better than any other place we've been to (and we'd been at some of the more expensive senior homes and skilled nursing facilities in the area that cannot compare to Hampton). My grandma enjoyed joining the fellow residents for bingo, holiday and birthday celebrations, visits to the garden, and games/physical activities. Every major holiday, including Mothers Day, Christmas and Thanksgiving, Jeff and his family would cook elaborate, delicious meals and we loved joining the residents for these days to bring a bit of home and comfort to them all. I cannot express how much Hampton changed our lives and brought us calm amidst my grandma's transition. They were with us every step of the way and even at the end, I cannot imagine a better group of people to support my grandma and my parents and me through this process. I cannot emphasize enough how Hampton is the perfect decision to make to provide your parent, grandparent, spouse or whomever with the best care. We love everyone there, and highly recommend them to anyone seeking the best care for someone in their lives.

My grandmother received truly wonderful care at Hampton Guest Home in Pasadena. The staff was consistently attentive to her needs, providing a warm, supportive environment that brought us both peace of mind. I’m especially grateful for the thoughtful partnership and open communication I had with Jeff, the manager, whose dedication and compassion made all the difference. Knowing my grandmother was in such capable and caring hands was an incredible comfort to our family.

It was a very difficult decision to move my mother from her beloved home of 60 years but I knew she needed better care due to her advanced dementia. Hampton Guest Home came highly recommended and I was very impressed with the home, cleanliness, and compassionate care that was evidenced during my first visit and the 6 months my mom lived there. Owners Jeff and his parents are experienced and very conscientious. Jeff’s communication and their team of longtime caregivers were excellent. Their attention to the unique needs of each guest and families was incredible. I definitely felt that I had made the right decision. In fact, I think my mom would have enjoyed being there much sooner when she still had the capacity to get to know everyone. As it was she enjoyed being outside in the sun every day, singing songs, and playing balloon volleyball. Jeff and the caregivers collaborated beautifully with ASAP Hospice and my mother was comfortable and lucid to the very end. During the last two weeks of my mom’s life Jeff even made up a place for me so I could sleep at the foot of my mom’s bed and spend every precious moment with her. One of the last things my mom said (I think to my dad - her husband of 75 years who had died a year before) just a couple days before she died gave me such peace of mind, We are so lucky. Everything turned out alright. I feel comfortable and loved. Oh boy. Ohhh, we’ve been so fortunate. God gave us the best people around. You wonder how he knows just what we need. I guess because he does it so much for all of us. Always kind. This is a special place. ™

Five years ago my siblings and I had a difficult decision to make whether to let my mom continue to live in her 2 story home, or find her senior care in a home setting, none of the big faceless nursing facilities would do. After interviewing a few senior care homes we settled on Jeff Yang with Hampton Guest House and it was the best decision we could have made other than keeping mom at home with round the clock care. Because they have six rooms with seniors, they are really able to focus on each person and see to their needs. The feeling of Hampton House is very homey, it does not feel like a nursing home at all, nor did I ever detect bad smells associated with big nursing homes. We were also able to fix my moms room however we wanted, even painted it a bright color with pictures of her family all around her. For birthdays and special days they always celebrated and made special meals for the holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. They had the residents help decorate the Christmas tree and they played low-impact games like bingo or toss the balloon. The main caregivers for my mom were Neda, Alma, and Jian though all helped out when needed. My mom recently passed away and I can honestly say she had the best care possible at Hampton House and I will miss seeing all the people there because they made us feel like part of the family.

My mother was a resident of Hampton House for 5 years, including during the Covid Pandemic. Jeff Yang and his staff kept my mother safe and Covid free when facilities for the elderly around the world were being overrun with the virus. Jeff and his staff were so caring and loving with my Mom. Over the years she grew very fond of all of them and was always happy to see them. They in turn made her part of their Hampton House family and loved her dearly. Jeff and his staff worked with us in real time with anything that came up with my Mom. They kept me informed of any changes with Mom via text, email or phone, depending on the situation. This type of partnership is a huge help and absolutely helped in keeping Mom healthy and happy. Jeff and his staff made sure that every holiday, birthday or special occasion was celebrated. Delicious gourmet meals were cooked for holidays by Jeff and birthday cake with decorations for every birthday. Their doors were open to our family having dinners in the Hampton dining room and small gatherings outside for big events like my Mom's 91st birthday. We were always welcome. Neda, Alma, and Jian cooked 3 fresh meals a day and took into consideration all dietary restrictions, as well as likes and dislikes. Mom loved having dessert every night. They also monitored her water intake to make sure she was drinking enough every day. All the ladies would enjoy meals together at a family table where they could interact. The staff played bingo and other low impact games to keep them social, moving and smiling, daily. Sadly, my Mom died on March 10th, two days after her 92nd birthday. Jeff, Kristin, Alma, Elga, Neda and Jian were there with us for weeks helping us navigate her changing needs and keeping her comfortable, as well as making sure she knew she was loved. Alma and Neda very often stayed to help us past the time they were due to leave for the day. It was a blessing to have them with us during a very difficult time. Whenever I am asked about Hampton House, I answer honestly, that they were truly a blessing and a Godsend for the last five years of Mom's life.

I will be grateful to the people at Hampton Guest Home for the rest of my life. They provided five years of loving, tender, personal care to my mother that were, in many ways, the most comfortable and gentle days of her life. When we first found Hampton Guest Home, she was 95, living in her condo with round the clock care, bedridden, bored, depressed, and on hospice due to dementia. It was expensive, sad, and even though she was physically quite healthy, we assumed her end was near. I was introduced to Hampton Guest Home through an acquaintance and it was, without a doubt, the best decision I've ever made to move her in. She immediately started to thrive, instead of steadily decline. She was taken care of by such wonderful caregivers who got her up and dressed daily, took her outside to breathe the fresh air, and prepared wonderful meals that immediately improved her health. She had a twinkle in her eye and a sense of humor I hadn't seen in years. She went off hospice and lived another 5 years, passing this last November, surrounded by me and the caregivers who loved her. I'm an only child, so Jeff and the amazing staff became my close siblings as we helped her through a very gentle final passage. I cannot say enough about this place. If you are looking for a home for your loved one that is suffused with love and care, and if you are lucky enough to be selected, you will not be disappointed.

Our mom lived at Hampton for 13 months. I cannot say enough about how well Mary was taken care of. Her room was light and airy, the food was freshly prepared for each meal, they had special events honoring the residents on their birthdays and for the holidays. Each care giver gives so much to every resident. They treated our mom like family, they actually cared about her and took the time to listen to her many stories. The home is beautiful, open and airy. The backyard is safe and comfortable so the residents can enjoy time spent outdoors. I knew our mother was safe and well cared for at Hampton Guest House. Thank you Jeff and all the girls! Lorena

The service and care that our mother received was top notch. The staff is very caring, the amenities were very nice and the food was excellent (cooked fresh every day). It was a very loving environment. The staff truly cared about our mother and her needs. The administration of the facility was a pleasure to work with. No reasonable request or special service was ever denied or ignored. The facility was up to date on the Covid protocols and insured they were implemented. Hampton Guest Home exceeded all of our expectations.

My brother and I were very pleased with the loving care that our mother received during her stay at Hampton Guest Home. We were never worried about our mother while she was living there because we knew that Linda and Jeff along with their staff were attentive to the her needs. Watching them providing dedicated care to their home residents in real-time was very inspiring. I would not hesitant to recommend Hampton Guest Home.

No family wants to think about the day that their loved ones will need help but I can say with full confidence that Hampton Guest Home is the best option possible when faced with this situation. After a brief tour of the facility and meeting the owners and staff, my mother moved in for what would be a 3-year stay starting in 2014 after my father's passing. During that time, the staff took wonderful care of her. She had various issues which the staff paid great attention to by administering her medication, contacting her doctor with any concerns, and making sure that she was stimulated during the day. They were open to having me visit as often as I liked and while there, I saw the well-rounded meals they prepared for their residents as well as the community they created by having the residents eat their meals together. The owners and staff were never distracted while at work and took great pride in keeping everyone healthy and comfortable. Communication was never an issue as they always took my calls and answered emails promptly. They are a wonderful group of people who gave my mother her dignity, respect, and happiness during her last years. Without a doubt, this facility is different than any other place as their residents are treated as members of their community instead of just a number. They will always have my thanks for what they did for my family.

When we had to move my Mother-In-Law out of her home in Nebraska and closer to us in Pasadena because her dementia was worsening and the back and forth trips, lack of good home care had finally beat us down-- we had no idea what a small private home for elder care was. We visited some small nursing homes, a few private homes that felt like nursing homes-- but when we walked into Hampton House it was like walking into a next door neighbors home. Linda & Jeff made US feel at home. The home itself was lovely, clean and the elderly guests seemed like a happy family. Hampton Home is a small miracle. My mother in law died peacefully there in 2013 and we saw her every weekend and more. We befriended her home mates, her health aides, Linda & Jeff. It's hard to describe the entire journey as Hampton Guest Home became a second family to us. As many family members of guests we return every year for the holiday party and they have become family, too. We've had so much experience with elder care and I can say I know of no there place like Hampton Home. I guess it's as simple as The Yang family's commitment to their vocation of caring for elders with the greatest respect, dignity & love I've ever seen in my life that makes a small miracle real. I drop by often to say hello even between holiday parties and visit other people's mothers & fathers there and catch up with the Aides, hear about their children, etc. We feel unbelievably blessed we somehow found this oasis of elder care in a desert. I'd live there myself now-- no hyperbole.

Our mom Betty, lived at Hampton Guest home for over two years. The care she received was extraordinary. Jeff and Linda Wang the owners have become friends of my sister Carol and I and the caretakers Emi, Alma, Neda and Emily have our deepest appreciation and love. I remember going to many places on my search, had a great interview with Jeff and Linda, called my sister on the way home and said, "I found it". I knew that if I could laugh with people during such a stressful time, then Hampton was perfect.

Family owned, Hampton Guest House was a place of professional care, compassion, and support for my mother and our family. My mother came to Hampton Guest House after living in her home for over 60 years. The Yang family and their staff embraced my mother and cared for her with devotion. Their support during the last years of my mother's life was a blessing beyond expression. To this day I am filled with gratitude and am at peace in the knowledge that my mother was safe, secure and loved in a pristine and comfortable home surrounded by people she loved and trusted in her final years.
