My father who is legally blind, hearing impaired and unable to walk without assistance was admitted to Legend Gardens about six months ago. We were told by Carrie, the Marketing director that dad would be taken for a walk daily. At the time of writing, dad has been denied his daily walks for over a week. When he asks to be taken for a walk, caregivers respond by saying "they don't do that". Ashley, a caregiver broke both of dad's hearing aids (valued at $6,000) when trying to change the batteries and nobody even bothered to let me, dad's Power of Attorney know what had happened. Dad's glaucoma drops sat on a manager's desk waiting for sign-off for 2 days, which could cause irreversible vision damage. Phil, the Operations director claimed to be our point of contact but stopped responding to messages after a few weeks. Dad has missed doctor's appointments and staff turnover is unbelievably high. We have seen two executive directors resign in 6 month period, and Mark the current one, also stopped responding weeks ago. We have no choice but to contact the ombudsman's office, as there seems to be no accountability in this facility whatsoever.

Ive been a volunteer there and I have to say that the folks there are treated great. Its the shizzle fo nizzle, hella lit. The workers are on fleek and the residents love Wii Bowling which is good cause thats a great game. In general the people that work there seem to actually care about their residents.

I come to this place almost everyday and i love and enjoy to see everyone.. the staff especIally YNDIRA AVILENE , ALEJANDRA , BRANDY , EMELY , they are all nice and wonderful... they really take care the patient VERY VERY VERY WELL..... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE... MAGNIFICO !!!!!

My mom has lived at Legend Gardens since November 2016. The smaller, secure, quiet community located across from the Joslyn Senior Center is ideal in many ways for us. It provides a centralized location in a residential neighborhood in Palm Desert near El Paseo and College of the Desert. Its convenient to Eisenhower Medical Center and other medical professionals. Its essentially in the heart of Palm Desert, convenient to shopping, restaurants, hiking trails, golf, etc. Its size is perfect for my mom, who enjoys quiet and serenity when she wants it. There are safe, level pathways for all residents to walk, wheel, or use a cane or walker throughout the complex with features like statues, gardens with colorful flowers, citrus trees and even a small putting green to use. Mom enjoys the weekly on-site activities schedule that includes Bingo, Trivial Pursuit, live music sessions, art and painting, and special holiday celebrations, among other on and off-site activities. Legend Gardens staff is fabulous. Each of them knows every resident by name. I visit my mom four days a week, so I witness the ongoing consistency, enthusiasm and attentiveness to care. What I like is that Legend Gardens promotes independent living for as long as possible and provides different tiers of care due to what each individuals circumstances are at a certain time. Thereby each resident gets distinct care for their needs. The residents themselves, are spectacular. Many from different backgrounds, who mingle in the dining hall and activities center, are quick to include new residents in their groups. Its a joy saying hi to them as I come and go. My mom likes the meal choices a great deal. Shes particular about what she eats and she always finds something on the different daily menus, whether it be Salisbury steak, fish with vegetables, a hamburger, or soups and salads for lunch and dinner if shes eating lighter. And she always has her ice cream. I like thats she found a comfortable and nutritious meal routine. As an example of the exemplary care, at the last moment, I fell dreadfully ill with the flu the day after my Moms cataract surgery. I could not drive her to her follow-up appointment the next day. I called Yndira and Eddie made sure she was driven in time for her appointment, even on last minute notice. If youre looking for a positive, safe, reliable and delightful assisted living community with many options, in the Coachella Valley, I highly recommend Legend Gardens.

From the moment you walk in you feel like you are at home. The community is on the smaller side but has everything you need. The staff was very polite and you could tell they really care about the people that live there.

Im a retired high school teacher who is currently working as a musician. I play the 12-String Guitar, harmonica, electronic drum machine and I sing as well. In my capacity as a musician I perform regularly at retirement communities ,convalescent hospitals and some adult daycare centers throughout Southern California and parts of the San Francisco Bay area to where I play music with my eight-year-old granddaughter. I have been doing this activity roughly since I left my position as an educator about seven years ago. in the course of doing my work I perform at many different establishments among the very finest of these is Legend Gardens, located in Palm Desert California. That facility is absolutely gorgeous , extremely clean and landscape beautifully. The staff is very friendly and extremely conscientious with regard to the residents dwelling in the facility the staff members treat those residents with the upmost consideration and respect never treating them in a condescending manner this is true regardless of the fact that the residents as a consequence of their physical and mental condition can sometimes behave in a very childlike manner. The staff members with whom I work very closely at the facility is the engaged Life Director Isabel OKane. She is among the most friendly and competent activity directors that I have encountered during my entire career. She is always extremely polite and respectful to the resident helping them get engaged with the music that I am performing. she never for example says anything demeaning to them Regardless of any behavior they might be exhibiting at any given moment. She is a true joy to work with many of the residents for whom I perform tell me how much they appreciate her and the other staff staff members. Anyway, if you would like your loved one to reside at a beautiful friendly caring retirement community you could not make a better choice than that of Legend Gardens in Palm Desert, California. In June of 2018 I was a total wreck, my health and mental state was such that my daughter and close friends were telling me that I needed to make a very difficult decision. I needed to relinquish my full time care responsibilities. It was literally killing me, one day at a time. This was increasingly difficult as my bride of 20 years was suffering from the Alzheimers disease. A close friend was encouraging me to consider Legend Gardens, her husband was living in the LG memory care. After visiting the most likely caregiving facilities in the valley l decided to commit to Legend Gardens. After 13 months I want to say I am extremely pleased with my selection. To cut to the chase I am at total peace with the loving individual care that the staff shares with every occupant. The facility is ultra clean, the staff is well trained and quickly responds to every emergency. The family atmosphere and love each staff member shows for the task at hand I find hard to believe. We had stumbled through the assisted living jungle here in Coachella Valley for about four weeks before we walked through the Legend Gardens front door. From the front door the first thing we see is a smiling, good natured, confident, (and soon-to-learn) competent resident manager named Larry. After our tough previous four weeks, both my wife and I could size up the kind of care a place would provide for our mother after just meeting with the boss. Larry put us at ease instantly. On our tour we met the other key staffers and were impressed with their generosity of spirit. They have a resident there who came down and played a beautiful piano for our listening pleasure. We got ice cream cones (it was miserable outside). My wife and I were able to take deep breaths at that very moment, knowing that if the budget will allow it, this would be Moms new home. The tour showed clean, bright apartments setup in roommate situations. Then Larry told us the price. It was the least expensive of all the homes we toured. He and his nursing staff were wonderful to us at every contact. Legend Gardens is a great place because of the team that runs it. Definitely check them out before deciding on this all-to-important decision of long-term care for the older person in your life.

I have worked closely with the staff and residents of Legend Gardens. The Memory Care one of the cleanest I have ever seen. The care staff is well organized. The Community has a new Executive Director and an excellent team. The staff genuinely cares about the residents and the activity Director is always keeping the residents engaged in fun activities. I would recommend Legend Gardens for your loved ones. It is truly a beautiful place to live.

The new activity director Isabel is fabulous! The residents are stimulated and look happy. There is a real activity schedule! The new management shows a wonderful positive change. There is a nurse on staff and on call. Residents and family concerns are acknowledged. The facility is beautiful and I would recommend it to my friends and family. Fun place to be.

I can't say enough nice things about the staff at Brookdale Corsicana. They took such good care of my dad and my sisters mother-in-law. They really became a part of our family. I am very thankful for all of them and for the time my dad got to spend with these great ladies.

Finding just the right place for my dear 91 year old mom, was no small task when we moved to Palm Desert a year ago. Legend Gardens, however, was and remains, a blessing. Mom adapted immediately! The caregivers are truly loving and patient, the facility is lovely, and the new administrator, Krystal, is most attentive and proactive. Already, I find improvements. Oh, mom likes the food, too!
