My parents have been living at Oakmont of Riverpark for over 4 years. The special bonds they made with the other friendly and kind residents and staff (shout out to outstanding staff Gabby and Jennifer) made them feel so very happy that they moved to Oakmont. Tony is an amazing chef who creates delicious meals that based on the taste and presentation, you know he loves what he does. Waitstaff take the time to know each resident and their unique dining preferences. Just recently, my mother passed away. The plan was to move my dad (who requires quite a bit of care) to a place closer to me. However, I ended up choosing to keep him at Oakmont of Riverpark. I kept him there because of the attentive staff, and particularly because of Ian Gadea who has shown nothing but respect, care, and love for not just my dad, but our whole family. Ian is passionate about his job and wants to make sure everyone has the finest care possible by not just getting to know every resident's needs, but making sure his staff is aware, and that families are in on the whole process. He also recognizes and fights for what a resident requires for maximum comfort. The staff that work under him and help with Dad's care are attentive, professional, and friendly. I am truly thankful that Mom and Dad moved into Oakmont of Riverpark.

My mother and stepfather both reside in memory care at Oakmont. They have been there for 3 years. I cannot tell you how much I have appreciated the care that has been given. My brother handles their care living close by. I am in Virginia. I love being able to go on FB and see all the activities and events happening. The staff is professional and kind. Our stepdad passed away a few days ago. They have been so wonderful during this time and so compassionate. I came down to spend several days with my mother. It warms my heart to see that my mother is happy. The staff goes out of their way to treat the residents with dignity and warmth. It's difficult to place your loved ones out of their homes but this was by far the best decision we could have made.

See the place at 6 pm on a Monday. Only one poor nurse on duty in Memory Care. Patients attacking visitors with their walkers! Who gets these patients to bed? Is that why my mom wears the same clothes every day? They can't even brush their teeth. They need at least six nurses at ALL TIMES! We are paying upwards of $10000 month for this!!!!

My visit at Oakmont Senior Living was delightful. The building is well maintained and very clean. While I was there all the residents were incredibly happy. All the staff was more than welcoming! Matthew Girardot was a fantastic point of contact for us very responsive and helpful. I would send my loved one to live here in a heart beat! I can't say enough great things about this community. Even their lunch prepared by the kitchen looked delicious! All around I give Oakmont a 5 star, easily. It was an absolute pleasure to see nothing but happy well taken care of residents. If you're in the market for an assisted living community don't pass this one up!

We put my aunt into this absurdly expensive facility because we wanted the best for her and the building itself was beautiful, relatively new, and the people were very kind. However, the turnover on administrative staff has proved a serious issue. So far, we have been notified several times because they didn't turn in the paperwork for her insurance to pay, which has caused problems with the insurance company, she was almost taken off site by people and no one can tell us who, and the people who call us can't pronounce her name or even know who she is. These are just the major concerns. There are several other issues that we are not happy with as well. Moving her is an option, but it would cause extreme stress since she is in memory care. I do not recommend this facility.

My 94 year old Aunt lived her last 4 months at Oakmont Riverpark. She was very happy in her new home. The staff took excellent care of her. Mark Brassfield is a star, Daniel and Kimberly of the care staff were amazing, Lori and Christina in Sales, all front desk personnel, Jorge in Finance and many others including the wait staff and maintenance went above and beyond in kindness and caring. It’s a beautiful upscale facility in a new section of Oxnard. The food was good and many other residents were friendly and welcomed my Aunt as a newcomer. I brought in 24/7 nursing and Buena Vista Hospice in the end. Oakmont and these additional caregivers worked together to help her transition. Everyone supported me in this difficult process, which is what a family member in charge of care needs. Thank you.
