First Impression From the moment I walked through the doors of Clearwater at Riverpark, I felt as though I was stepping onto a beautiful cruise ship. While waiting for my tour, I struck up a conversation with a resident named Vivian, who was sitting on the front bench. She warmly invited me to visit her apartment after the tour and said, I’ve lived here five years, and I love it. That genuine welcome set the tone for everything that followed. As we toured the community, I was impressed by the elegant surroundings, the inviting atmosphere, and the beautiful Savor dining room. More importantly, every resident and staff member we met made us feel genuinely welcome. We never felt like prospective residents”we felt like future neighbors. I’m so happy here!! I’ve lived in a community like this in Arizona and this is far superior! The food is incredible and always good. They treat us like adults here not children! Everyone on staff is so kind and caring. 90 percent of the residents are so kind and caring with the 10% that can be avoided! The classes with Madison and Britt are wonderful! My apt is wonderful with a patio balcony and all the room I need to feel so comfortable and cozy with my 9 year old cat Delilah whom I adore. The staff is well trained and go above and beyond to make us comfortable!

I have been a residence at Clearwater in Oxnard, CA. for just over 9 months and couldn't be happier about it! The apartments are spacious with a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, large accessible bathroom, and plenty of room for storage. The staff here are the best!! From the maintenance crew through the kitchen staff, cleaning ladies, drivers, and front office there are smiles and assistance if needed, everywhere! You want activities? This is the place!! Swimming, all sorts of physical and mental classes, crafts, tours and outings, games, pool, etc., etc., plus once a week, Clearwater puts on a "social hour" where we all get together and enjoy live music to sing along with or dance to plus enjoying hors d'oeuvres. So what are you waiting for?? We residence are having a wonderful time and would love to have you join us!!

My mother-in-law has been living at Clearwater for 2 years. She is very happy and truly does not believe that there is a better place out there. From the first tour we were impressed with the quality of the apartments, the restaurant and all of the amenities. The staff and employees are all caring and kind. In addition, the location is good for walking and shopping. Yes, it is more expensive, but having toured several other senior living options you get what you pay for.

Clearwater is the creme de la creme of independent living. Too much to cover, but here are just a few points: Food: Savor Restaurant (in house) offers excellent cuisine and table service (NOT cafeteria style) as well as take out and delivery. Two special entr©es daily, in addition to a regular menu and scrumptious desserts. Activities: Several films streamed daily in dedicated theater, literary book club, mystery book club, bridge club, weekly outings to museums, restaurants, ... Painting, quilting, ... Health: Bone builders, Water aerobics, tai chi, ... Amenities: Exercise studio with machines, library, heated outdoor pool, first class (small) kitchen in every unit, weekly house cleaning, concierge, ... People: Warm, friendly, and talented staff, and a great group of residents, ourselves included. Come join us!

I've been at Clearwater at riverpark for almost 3 years and overall have found the experience here to be very good. The staff here is excellent and the activities are quite varied and also excellent. The only reason I gave a rating of four stars rather than five is because of the fact that Clearwater recently initiated a $5 ( five points) charge for picking up your own takeout meal from the dining room for lunch and dinner. Except for that, my experience has been very positive and Clearwater is aa great place to live.

There are many great aspects of Clearwater at Riverpark. The physical property is very nice. The apartments are a good size with a selection of 1 & 2 bedroom and 1 & 2 bath units. The food is top notch with a varied selection available for both lunch an dinner and a nice breakfast menu. The activities, and the gals that run them, are really great. Lots of diversity and really fun things to do. The meal plan is a point system rather than just 3 meals/day built into the rent. And with the ability to carry over up to half the monthly points if not used, you avoid just loosing what you paid for in the other plan if you are away on vacation or whatever. The residents and particularly the staff are all quite friendly. The servers in the Pub & Dining room bend over backward to please. My wife and I looked at a number of facilities and Clearwater clearly stood out as best choice.

I've lived here for 4 years and there is no better staff than at Clearwater @ Riverpark. The place is kept in tip top condition along with lots of things to do (or not) as you want. One of the things I love best about it is its size...not so large that by the end of your first month here, you pretty much know everyone and they know you. Very friendly!

We have been residents at Clearwater for over a year . Life at Clearwater is like living on a cruise ship that doesn't leave port. You can be as busy as you want. There are many classes----every level of art groups, exercise classes, weekly dance parties, holiday celebrations, intellectual speakers., transportation to appointments and day trips........., The food is consistently tasty, and the kitchen staff is always ready to accommodate your special dietary needs. The staff is exceptional. We love the bright and very clean interior design and well-kept gardens.

I have lived here since six months after it was opened and have found it a very good experience. The atmosphere is splendid, the personnel are so friendly and helpful. The retirees that live here are all so nice. Needless to say, I love it here. I am paying over $1,000.00 more per month than when I arrived, in spite of the fact that I have since moved to a smaller room to save some money. This is very concerning in that my income has not increased. The new rules that have recently been bestowed upon us unfortunately has caused a lot of grumbling amongst us. For these reasons, I may have to consider other options. Time will tell.

I came to Oxnard for the climate and stayed for the comforts of Clearwater. The wonderful staff worked hard to create a special Thanksgiving (with a huge dinner and lots of leftovers.) for those of us without family in the area. NICE!

Even though I came for a visit and tour, I got so much more. Sandy showed us around and gave us the lowdown on ALL the fun happening here. It is quite impressive, the food was great and they had live music too! Best of all was the the individual care and kindness that we witnessed. Sandy knew all the residents by name and what they were up to. Truly a nice place to live; independent living is the way to go for my future. Update: Sandy no longer works for the company.

My parents live here and are very happy. The people who work here are amazing (shout out to Genevieve, Patty, Sandy, and Britt!). The facilities are great and include a movie theater, a restaurant, a beauty salon, a nice gym, an art room, a little dog area, and a pub. The activities offered are eclectic and fun, too: cards, wine tastings, art classes, yoga, daily walks in the neighborhood, movies, and trips to places like gardens, museums, and restaurants. The residents are super nice, too and there is a real sense of community. Things that could be better: 1. The menu is supposed to change every three months, but they have had the same menu for the last six months and the food gets monotonous. 2. Also, only one door (the front door) opens automatically. For older people, many who have mobility issues, it is often difficult for them to get in and out of the doors. 3. Finally, when my folks moved in they were told that the fees wouldn't go up more than 3% a year, but the rise in prices is more like 6% (some even 8%!).

Sandy gave me a tour and I was very impressed by how happy all the residents were and the camaraderie between the staff and residents. I didn't imagine I would ever have as much fun as when I lived in a college dorm but that's what Clearwater reminds me of, except it's with seniors 🙂 I would trust Sandy and staff completely with helping me adjust to this next stage of life and make every morning an excitable one to wake up to!
