Staff has Always been friendly,courteous and respectful and helpful. The facility is very clean and the mood is uplifting and cheerful. They are willing to help and make my brother comfortable. I have recently moved into the Brookdale Oceanside facility. I could not be more pleased with the reception I have received from BOTH the residents and the staff. The residents siged a "Welcome Letter" and taped it to me door; and, the staff is friendly and efficient. And they have invited me to play bridge and been very friendly in dining room The room for my Independent Living stay was ready and cleaned very well when I arrived. I went to front desk to fill out a work order for a sink fix and the maintence crew was in my room starting the fix when I walked back to my room!! Management is knowledgeable and efficient, food is very good and prepared on the dining room published timetable. Ewing Jones

My Grandma moved in this place in July last year and loved it much better than her old place Laguna Estates.The staff are always responsive to their patients and always help them right away and there is always someone avaliable to help.Sadly she passed away 2 months ago but I want to Thank you guys so much for helping her out during her time that she was there!

From C. Berke: My family is grateful to Brookdale Oceanside for helping us through a very challenging transition for our 94 year old. He needed to be transferred, within a few days, from the hospital into hospice care at a Memory Care facility. Fortunately we found Brookdale Oceanside and they were so responsive and they accepted our father and made the transition as smooth as possible. My father received excellent care, though he was only there for 2 weeks and then he passed. The staff coordinated well with hospice and did a wonderful job trying to keep my father comfortable and safe and not alone. Brookdale is well run, staff is very professional and kind, the facility was very clean and well set-up. I would recommend Brookdale Oceanside.

I moved my great Auntie into Brookdale Oceanside in December 2023. She is thriving and living in the memory care section. The staff keep her busy with activities all throughout the day. The food is wonderful and the staff is always really nice. My Auntie is very happy living at Brookdale Oceanside and I would recommend this facility to anyone looking to move a loved one or friend.

The programs department, Patricia and Shell do a wonderful job keeping the residents engaged. I really enjoy the variety of activities offered. I love to attend daily B-Fit class, since attending I have gotten much stronger. I enjoy the Happy Hours with entertainment. I have learned how to play Rummikub, Uno, and also enjoy Pictionary, Charades and black jack.

I like the people here they are nice, the staff members are really nice . especially Patricia and She’ll they are very good, Valirie is nice to me . Matt is really nice to me too. I like activities, chair ball, very interesting is the axe throwing I like a lot , I love all the entertainment I wish I could dance but I have fun attending all activities that I’m able to do. I really enjoy the music and like my few friends Doug and Cathy are my good friends. I like living here, but food is not my favorite .

Our family has been impressed with the staff of Brookdale, Oceanside from day one! Everyone is so friendly and nice and we have been pleased to see how comfortable our dad is there and the wonderful care he receives. From the minute we walk in the door, we are greeted by the front desk staff who are always so helpful in every way! Matt, one of the caregivers, is always looking out for him and making sure he is doing well! The "restaurant" staff is attentive to his needs and is so kind to him! The activities director, Shell, has made him feel at home and to our surprise, he even participates in the exercise program at Brookdale which she leads! The woman who cleans his room and does his laundry does an exceptional job! All of this loving care adds up to our dad saying that it feels like home! Thank you so much to all who give him such wonderful care!

I was pleasantly pleased from the beginning to the end of my first experience her at Brookdale Oceanside ! I was looking for a home for my delightful mom in need of “memory care” services. I believe the Lord is faithful to his children and “Bertie” is pretty special at 92 yrs young. The staff is full of life and the caregivers have been beyond helpful! ! My mom has enjoyed her new home here since the day she arrived! She likes the food, activities, her room and location to all her family ! ! Knowing your parent is safe is truly a blessing. Peace of mind during the day to day and when they need help urgently. They respond and react with their hearts. She was able to answer all of my questions in a professional and caring way. I don’t usually write reviews, however, after calling other facilities, Brandy really made this one stand out. This is the first senior living I’ve lived at that has so many different and fun activities to do. From exercise , artist expressions, creative craft class , creative cards so many different games, scenic drives, lunch outings, field trips, great happy hours and amazing entertainment. Our Programs Director Patricia is so busy creating calendar every month that changes constantly. She does an amazing job decorating our community and she’s always creating bigger and better events. If someone says they are bored and there’s nothing to do , then it’s them not getting involved in the daily activities. Patricia will go door to door at least twice a week to touch basis with all the residents to see if they need something. Patricia’s assistant Shell is funny , she loves to jump around during our happy hours and we laugh at her. Shell does a bfit class that us residents attend and enjoy. The programs team has so much compassion and love for all that they truly make a difference in all our lives. I love the small group chats that they are very meaningful . I am happy to be here at Brookdale Oceanside I recommend this place to potential residents and families and friends. We got a new ED and he seems really nice. Most of our care staff is helpful and the food is really good. I really like the food , I recommend this place to all. My sister lives in a different Brookdale community and she likes it. Great place love it

My mother ended up staying there for 1 year. That one year ended up being the best year of her life. She made so many friends, including staff. Family friendly, a place that makes everyone feel at home. All branches of support were caring, respectful, and encouraging to her and her special needs, especially Patricia Pedroza. It warmed our hearts and put us at rest knowing she was in good hands with people who truly cared about her. There is so much to be said about the Director, housekeeping, restaurant staff, everyone...I could go on for hours. My mom is content, the Covid restrictions have been hard on her and I. But I know it is for her safety. The core staff is wonderful and helpful. They are all friendly when I am visiting my mom. She has been here for several years and her health has maintained well. I appreciate that my mom is so close to my home and she is in a safe environment.

My mother has been at Brookdale since late April of 2021. She has severe dementia and lives in the dementia care section. She moved to Brookdale following a fall and hip surgery. The facility is clean and beautiful. The staff has provided outstanding care for her during her recovery and rehabilitation. They are experts in dementia And Alzheimer’s disease and provide the residents with a safe, secure, stimulating and fun community life. I have seen the staff interact with several other residents and I am touched by the compassion and individual attention each resident receives. As with many dementia patients, my mother can be a handful one minute and a sweetheart the next, yet the staff are well-trained and treat her with kindness and dignity at all times. I visit often and I love taking mom out to dinner, dancing and to parties. It is extremely difficult to have a parent suffer from this cruel disease, along with the realization that you cannot meet all their needs by yourself. Finding a home that feels inviting, stimulating and safe is the best you can do out of love for your parent because they deserve it. Having my mom in Brookdale, close to my home has been the answer, the relief and the best of the rest for my mom.

Brookdale took care of my father in his final years at their memory care facility. All employess were attentive, caring and patient. They worked with our bugdet and housed my father for a little over two years. I am grateful to them and their servies.

The staff at this facility have the biggest hearts!!!!! From approving my dad to move in, to getting him settled with all of the Covid restrictions. His transition was more difficult due to his dimensia and staff was so understanding and accommodating. I could go on and on! We are also so pleased that he was able to get a room in a Friendship Suite which is two rooms and a shared bathroom. His room was less in price than anywhere else where he'd actually have a shared bedroom (2 people one room). I can't speak highly enough about Brookdale and we literally thank God for bringing us together!

I needed a fifth abdominal surgery and as I was unable to care for my beautiful wife, Ruth, during my two week recovery I temporarily placed her in the Memory Care Unit at Brookdale Oceanside. Both my eldest son, Stephen, and I were very pleased with the care she received. The entire staff from Laura the Director, to Mario the intake nurse, to Evelyn who was particularly helpful each morning when I could visit, everyone was positive and compassionate and professional. While I hope not to have to place Ruth again, knowing I have somewhere as good as Brookdale will make a difficult situation easier. Thank you.
