I helped my mother tour and choose a home when we decided to sell her house and simplify her life. I was looking for an environment where she would have support, access to services and most importantly social interaction. Calligraphy quickly became the top choice for us. The combination of a vibrant senior apartment living complex and services that support and allow seniors to remain independent was too good to pass up (spoiler alert, they have an IT Concierge). What was most surprising for me was just how considerate and supportive the staff are. I expected it at some level but they have far exceeded that expectation. My experience in interacting with the staff and residents has been nothing but positive. Tour the complex and you will enjoy the large windows with lots of natural light and well designed apartments that have everything you need. I am so happy to have found such a great apartment. I am so grateful for what Calligraphy and the staff have done to make my mom feel at home.

I didn’t realize how depressed I was after my husband passed away. My daughter took me to Calligraphy for a tour and I immediately knew I found my happy place for this last chapter of my life! The staff and my new family make it feel like a true home. I give an A+ to a caring staff who treats us like family. There are numerous fun activities. The quality and variety of food is wonderful. I couldn’t ask for more. The grounds and environment are beautifully maintained and people can adopt one of the garden spaces and try out their Green Thumb. Thank Heavens for the Luminescence Unit at Calligraphy of Napa Valley (CNV). My wife, Gwaine Kay Prom, passed away three weeks ago. She had dementia and needed Memory Care because I could no longer meet her needs. From the moment I met Grant Wegner (Executive Director of CNV) and David Escobar (Sales Director of CNV), I felt we were comforted and welcomed. They introduced us to the special care provided by the Luminescence Unit and urged me to give them my most loved person. Karina Leona-Medina, the manager of the Luminescence Unit, took responsibility for my wife. The care Karina and her team provided a strong, positive testament to the Healthcare Profession. They cared for her as if she were one of their own, offering intimate, personal, loving care and attention for every aspect of Gwaine's health, bodily needs, and spiritual well-being. My mother has been living and thriving in The Gardens at Watermark Napa Valley which is their memory care area. They care for those with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. I have been so pleased and thankful for the loving care and support my mother receives. The staff are friendly, patient and engaging. They encourage my mom to participate in the many activities they have. It is very difficult to have a loved one living with Alzheimer’s disease. The staff have helped support me as well as my mom. My father moved into The Watermark the day the facility opened in 2020. The environment, amenities and personal care he received lived up to our expectations. His initial residence was a beautiful one-bedroom apartment situated in the independent living section where he had access to delicious meals, social activities; even an on-site salon where he could get his haircut. Later, when he needed the services of memory care, the staff made the transition to "The Gardens" absolutely seamless. I can't say enough about the compassionate, kind and attentive team who cared for him until the very end. They became part of our extended family and always kept us apprised of any change or situation, and provided the thoughtful guidance we needed to address his personal and healthcare needs. This is a wonderful place for seniors of every stage of life, with genuine, dedicated team members who will help you rest assured your family member is well-cared for.

We recently moved my mother into a beautiful one bedroom apartment in the Watermark Assisted Living facility. Mom was resistant to the move and Vanessa went above and beyond meeting with all of us for over 3 hours! Her obvious expertise, knowledge, and compassion provided reassurance both to Mom and to us. The move went as smooth as it possibly could have with Dominic the move-in coordinator responding quickly to all of our needs. He also went above and beyond as I peppered him with questions via text! Rae, the IT coordinator likewise helped us navigate a tricky phone transfer and stuck with us until (after many phone calls), it was finally completed. We’ve all been so pleased with the quality and variety of food. The wait staff is always cheerful and made a point to quickly familiarize themselves with Mom’s favorite items on the menu (ice cream!). The Wellness team has been so caring and ready to adapt to mom’s specific needs and also provided reassurance to ME when I was feeling anxious about her transition. I would be remiss not to mention Kendal and the wide array of activities available every single day. The New Member Welcome Dinner was a huge hit with Mom and she is looking forward to the upcoming holiday choral event this week. We have been frequent visitors and it’s apparent that the friendly and welcoming culture of the Watermark Community starts at the top. Even in the first few days, it was not uncommon for Mom to be greeted by name when passing staff in the lobby or hallways. The common areas are beautifully decorated, immaculate, and our son was especially impressed that it doesn’t have that old people smell. LOL. We feel so lucky to have Watermark here in our hometown! Highly recommend.

OMG...where do I begin. Watermark Napa is a beautiful retirement community. I had the opportunity to tour Watermark with Ronnie (Sales/Marketing) and was able to meet Kendal (Program Director). It was obvious that the people who work there actually care about their residents. They put their residents happiness and wellness first. Their value of holistic wellness in intertwined with life there. One thing that stands out in this retirement community is that the elevated level of care is maintained throughout someone's time there, let's say in the case that a resident eventually requires a higher level of care than when they started. The memory care unity is just a beautiful as the rest of the place. Supporting people that require the most care, with daily wellness and social activities adding to their continued high quality of life. There are also independent living options for people that don't need much assistant. It is like resort living. All the shared spaces are beautifully decorated and well appointed. The individual apartments have a great layout.

My mother had an outstanding experience during her 3 years at Watermark. From her stay in assisted living to her end of life care all aspects of her experience were well above expectations. The facility is beautifully appointed and maintained and you can't beat the mild Napa Valley weather. But what really mattered in the end was the unending loving care and compassion the staff showed my mother. Honestly, I am not sure where Watermark is able to find such genuinely kind and loving people. From Korina, the Director of Memory Care to staff members like Peter, Theresa and Lily...and really everyone including front desk, dining staff, physical therapy, hair salon and activities, all of the staff members were exceptional in their caring and dedication. There are no words to express the gratitude my family has for my mother's exceptional end of life experience. I would recommend Watermark without hesitation for any of your loved ones. .

I can’t begin to say how happy I am with the Watermark community. After doing extensive research, I decided that Watermark was the best place for the next chapter of my mom’s life. For her, it was a leap of faith that she was making the right decision. She moved from the East coast, sight unseen, but when she entered her apartment she literally cried with joy. Her unit is bright and clean with 10ft ceilings, and a modern kitchen and bathrooms. The facility is beautiful and the staff is warm and friendly. My mom needs help with everyday activities and she’s come to rely on the helpful, competent staff that provide her with the support she needs and a sense of stability. Her daily gourmet-quality meals are prepared and offered at one of several restaurants onsite. Perhaps the best outcome of her move to Watermark is the new found friendships she’s developed. She participates in daily organized activities which have raised her spirits and given her a new lease on life. I am so happy too that they provide transportation services to her many doctor visits as well as shopping excursions. Overall, her transition to Watermark did require a period of adjustment, but she now feels at home and I can breath easy knowing she’s happy and safe. Thanks to everyone at Watermark!

I toured the assisted living and dementia care of The Waternark at Napa Valley. I was very impressed with what I saw. They took me around and introduced me to many of the staff members. The staff was very informed. I definitely like the staff and the programs that they have. I have met with the wellness director Pamela who was very very intelligent and kind. They also introduced me to the program director Karina. She was very polite and was able to answer all of my questions. They were both very knowledgeable, well-trained, and friendly. The facility itself is a gorgeous building and filled with all the amenities you could want - an outside garden, attractive and elegant dining area, activity room, etc. It looks like a high end 5 star hotel/resort! Residents looked happy, healthy and well cared for.

I had the pleasure of completing a 2-week training at The Watermark at Napa Valley. I met most staff and members (residents.) As a RCFE Administrator, I've been in dozens of senior living communities over the years. None can even begin to compare to The Watermark at Napa Valley. I've never met a more competent team of professionals providing services for their members. I also viewed several apartments and all common areas. The food was extraordinarily delicious. Every amenity you'd ever need is available at The Watermark at Napa Valley. Their Gardens neighborhood (memory care) was very special. Your loved one living with Dementia would be in an environment where they would truly thrive. The community is just outstanding in every way and more affordable than you'd think. I'll sell my home in Yountville one day and move to this community. Thank you, Grant, Colleen, David, Helen, Patti, Katie, Seneca, Kendal, and Adam for your kindness and hospitality. See you soon!

We enjoyed our tour of Watermark Retirement Community in Napa today. We were invited by Colleen Kabeary who is a delight to talk with and incredibly nice! Dan Escobar gave us a tour of the spacious apartments which were very impressive! Dan is so personable! The workmanship is top of the line and the finishes are superior. The kitchens are stunning and bathrooms are well appointed with careful consideration for access with safety in mind. The bedrooms are huge with large walk-in closets. The living rooms are spacious and have incredible views! We were also impressed with the studio apartment which was well appointed! We viewed the very nice gym! Common areas are substantial with beautiful cozy seating! There are terraces to mingle and enjoy a glass of wine. We were invited to not only tour but enjoy a taste of Italy with artisan pizzas made to order, fettuccine , antipasto, polenta, gnocchi and salad as well as drinks. The food was delicious and top notch! My observation was that employees were all happy, gracious and accommodating! That’s very important and on par with this beautiful setting! My parents lived in a place like this in Washington State so I’m well aware of the many benefits of living in such a place. Dan pointed out the many exciting activities they have for residents. They go out if their way to accommodate every resident and it shows! I made a point to talk to many residents today who gave positive reviews! I’m not ready to move there yet but I can attest that if you are in the search for such a place this is incredibly appointed and you should take a tour immediately- Napa Valley living at its finest!

This is an upscale retirement but they need to staff up. My loved one has been there for over a year. The dining area is overwhelmed yet they pay wages very well. When I walk through the lobby upon leaving around. 8-9pm; there is not one staff I see anywhere. WhenI I left the other night; a female outside the door front, was trying to get a hold of staff to deliver medication. She wasn’t able when I was leaving. They need to have staff answer phone after hours’.

Toured last December ” beautiful wine country community! Upscale, but with a comfortable, inclusive vibe. Am strongly considering it for my parents when the time is right. Besides excellent location and amenities, I noticed it’s easy for adult children/grandchildren to park and visit (unlike at many Marin senior communities) - that’s important to me! Food I had when visiting was definitely above average! Very authentically caring staff, with reasonable pricing based on levels of care. I know what I’m talking about because I’ve toured them all!!
