As soon as I stepped in to the Holiday Redwood I felt a sense of being welcomed in to a comforting home. There was a small aerobic class happening and I could smell a delicious lunch cooking in the dining room area. Residents were chatting and hanging out together - it felt like an actual community and not just a residential building. I can tell the staff go out of their way to make people feel comfortable and foster a sense of community and purpose in the building. Terry-Lynn who gave us the tour was fantastic and made us feel right at home. She was very patient with all of our questions and concerns and did a great job at explaining how everything works at the Holiday. As someone who works in this industry and sees a lot of retirement communities, I can say I would 100% recommend the Holiday Redwood to anyone who wants that perfect blend of being active and social in a friendly community while still having their independence. There is just the right amount of engagement from the staff to make sure everyone is safe while still remaining autonomous and in control of their lives.

Holiday Redwood is such a vibrant community! They really focus on creating a fun and relaxing environment for all of their residents and visitors. I have attended some of the events here and I was thoroughly impressed with Terri and her Team and their level of attentiveness.

My Dad has been here a few months and loves this place. He loves the food, weekly activities; he always wishes for more activities so that can be recommended. Sarah, Niessa and Tomas are so kind to him and all the residences- they truly go above and beyond. The food is good- remember there are SO many dietary restrictions, a lot of supplemental options for ordering are available. Lack of communication & billing is why this gets 4 stars: families are unknown of events- if there are food trucks, notify the families or staff so we can provide cash. But that is all- the staff is always there to help and the residences are so nice! People who leave bad reviews- I invite you to spend time here with your family member. You’ll see the staff are caring, accommodating, helpful, supportive and doing their best.

Well, he's back at it! While I was at lunch, or at dinner he stole 2 upright shopping carts, kitchen ware, dishes, glasses and silverware, the hand-made quilt (made by my daughter in law for me) from off my bed, which he had stolen before and I got back, and more. I have a heart condition, and am in a lot of pain right now. I am afraid to call 911 and go to the emergency room, because of what he will steal. I know my health is more important than "stuff".but I am too afraid to leave. I am 88 years old and should not have to have my life like this. I am working on moving but it will take another month or 2. He has disabled my door monitor. The management here does nothing about it. I guess they would rather get the rent money then throw a crook out, or something.

I have lived at Redwoods for about 1 1/2 years. It is very very clean, my apartment is beautiful, the food is very good, the other guests and staff are quite friendly. However, I have a next-door neighbor who is a thief!! I am going to move ASAP because of his stealing my stuff. Just today, he stole the handmade quilt (That was a gift from my son and daughter in law) right off my bed while I was in the dining room at dinner. A few times I have retrieved some of my stuff while the cleaning people were cleaning his apt, but I do not want to do that, nor live with a common crook next door. I plan to give my notice tomorrow. I do not feel safe here any more and I can't wait to find a new place. I have reported this many times, but the management does nothing about it. That is my only problem with the Redwoods. Except for the common thief next door, The Redwoods is a wonderful place to live in your Golden Years.

This place and staff has been a true blessing for my dear Papi. The staff is friendly and so caring. Not only do they make you feel welcome when you visit, They go out of their way to make sure hes happy and thats not easy to do. Were so fortunate that he can call this place home. He loves the home cooked meals and the activities keep him busy. I would definitely recommend to others

My aunt has been living at Redwood for years and just loves it there. The other residents and the staff are remarkable and I am so glad that Redwood became the place she calls home.

my father lived here for roughly two years. We found the staff friendly and helpful. My father is a picky eater so he didn't like all the meals but he enjoyed breakfast. In general, the guests seem in good spirits and there are group activities (e.g. movies, bag baseball, card games, etc.). Overall, I think they do a good job of taking care of independent residents. Those with care needs will need to consider alternative locations. I do recognize that some folks have caretakers come on-site but the facility simply isn't equipped for those with self-care limitations.
