Parklane is a beautiful facility. Staff are friendly, unfortunately, the food is a little bit less than desirable. I mean, it's not bad, but in comparison to the quality of food and how it's prepared at Ivy Park independent living facility…Park Lane is lacking. I wish Park Lane would address this issue… Perhaps a new chef and upgrading the quality of food served would solve this issue?

The staff at Park Lane was excellent. Christine, the marketing director worked with us so well to get my mom into Parklane. Another shout out to Rolando one of the maintenance workers who was so pleasant. And also Denise the activities director. We cannot wait to move my mom into Parklane and look forward to all the great activities it will provide

I've always knows about Parkland but had never had a reason to visit it. It is as lovely as advertised. Christina was wonderful - started there as a caregiver and is now a very well informed and effective ambassador. I got a good sense of the place and found it to be as lovely as advertised!

We just read a number of "Reviews" and they are from the Employees. This gives great pause. Seniors and their families are not interested in paid employee reviews. Yes, the Park Lane looks good...Yes. Do speak to the residents about Memory Care and Assisted Living Patient Care. There are many sobering stories. Yes, the Park Lane is very, very, expensive and families expect their loved ones to be cared for 24/7. There are just too many stories about guests being ignored. Time and time, again. Some families have had to hire additional help to compensate. Fact: With Covid -there should have been heightened attention to the needs of the elderly residents... There are just too many stories about residents being ignored. The " It is hard to get help" excuse does not fly - families spend a fortune and expect quality attention And, too many are very afraid to Complain. Look hard and long before you commit.

I worked at The Park Lane in the 80s. Although I was in accounting I had the opportunity to interact with residents. They were a group of the most diverse and interesting people I have met. The food was delicious! Now that I am in my late 60s, I wish I could become a resident. Unfortunately I live in Florida now. If it is anything like when I worked there I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. It's certainly worth a look. The Monterey area is beautiful as well.

My recent tour at Park Lane went well. I've toured many senior living facilities trying to find the right fit but this one stood out. Lori took the time to listen to my needs and provided great customer service. The facility had nice amenities and the view of the peninsula was amazing. Park Lane is definitely top on my list. The Park Lane was perfect for my mom. She loved the food and made good friends that she sat with at dinner. It was easy for her to get around. She enjoyed the outings. And loved the walk around the 7th floor. I’m grateful she was able to stay there for her final years.

The staff at The Park Lane go out of their way to be helpful. They are both professional and friendly. And it is the same with the residents who make new residents feel welcome. I found it interesting to note that most of the positive reviews are from employees but those from visitors were quite negative. Let me start with the positive food and the wait staff are outstanding. Every meal I have eaten was excellent. However, I have some specific complaints about the housekeeping that I think need to be addressed: 1) The carpet in my father's apartment was filthy for months and the blinds have been falling apart since he moved in several years ago. After seeing this continue for months, I asked the front desk to have these things rectified. Once I requested this, it was taken care of the next day BUT it shouldn't require a request. 2)Every time we visit, there is dust on all the surfaces and once, the flowers that I bought several weeks before were dead in a vase and they had dropped petals everywhere. The bathroom is often dirty. I just don't think that the housekeeping is adequate and considering how much is charged to live there, it should be outstanding. 3) On Thanksgiving, when I arrived, I went to the ladies room on the first floor, the garbage can was overflowing, there was no toilet paper, and there was debris all over the floor. I spoke to the person at the front desk and she said she'd take care of it. Several hours later when I left, I went into the same restroom and it was still not taken care of. Other problems we have encountered: Lack of parking/planning Prior to Thanksgiving, I called to make sure they had adequate parking because I am disabled. I was told that they were working on it. When we arrived, the clerk at the desk knew nothing about the parking she called someone and said they were working on it. I was curious why the handicapped parking in the lot was inaccessible they were not torn up at all. Supplies disappearing items we've purchased (laundry detergent, compression socks, bathroom supplies) have been used so quickly that we are purchasing items constantly. Additionally, parking on Thanksgiving was totally inadequate. When I called prior to my visit, I was told they were working on it. When I arrived, the clerk at the desk also told me they were working on it. I understand that construction is going on but they need to at least provide parking for the disabled (like me). It seems that things have gotten worse over time. I believe for the amount that the residents pay, the services need to be first class.

My mothers wedding ring was stolen from a small memorial display my father made after her death. The Park Lane seemed rather indifferent to this theft, implying the ring had gotten lost. Judging by Christie Roes comment, this was not an isolated incident.I see the new management has responded to my review with an offer to research this incident. Since it occurred about five years ago and my father has since died, I dont see much purpose in reopening the case. I have upped my review to three stars to reflect the overall experience my father had at The Park Lane. The always friendly (and very patient) dining room staff certainly was worth two extra stars. The constant construction going on throughout his stay was very annoying but the new management seems to have finally completed it. The result is very pleasing.

I work for Pacifica Senior Living and have had the opportunity to be the interim Executive Director at the Park Lane for the past 3 months. What a fabulous community! Wonderful residents and staff and lots to do every day. The food is delicious and I rarely miss a meal here. I have traveled the country for Pacifica and have been in over 30 of their communities and I feel very strongly about our Resident Care and how Pacifica treats their staff. I have loved my stay here and will miss everyone when I leave this assignment in a few weeks.

I have been working at The Park Lane as a med tech for several years now, and I can honestly say I have never enjoyed a job more anywhere else. Residents and associates alike welcomed me immediately and showed me the close knit family environment that makes this place so special. Working with the wonderful residents here has taught me something new and unique every day. I always look forward to being part of activities or events, or even just sitting down to chat with residents throughout the day. I have never experienced a more loving and caring community in my entire life. I sincerely appreciate all the efforts of the staff and management at The Park Lane. They truly care about the residents and it shows in everything they do on a daily basis. We strive to make each resident feel like family. Its an honor to have your loved ones in our community and I look forward to creating more memorable memories with them. Not to mention we are such a beautiful community as well

As I walked into this luxury senior living community, I was greeted with a warm smile and a welcoming Hello! The grounds at The Park Lane remind me of a lush park-like setting with plenty of trees, rolling green grass fields and flowers around every corner. There were so many residents out in the common areas participating in a wonderful activities. The newly renovated Vista Lounge, located on the penthouse level, provides a view which overlooks the entire Monterey Bay. This is a perfect luxury senior living option for the independent, those who may need some assistance and a large, secure memory care floor with many cognitively stimulating activities. Ive had a decade of experiences with The Park Lane as friends have lived there, and I have had the pleasure of working with the facility throughout my years serving seniors in this community. In my current capacity, I have the pleasure of working with Marissa and Ciquia who are both dedicated to bringing a positive experience to both residents and the community at large. The facility is undergoing many fabulous changes with renovations happening throughout the facility making the space even more inviting than before. If you havent looked at The Park Lane in awhile; they are definitely worth a visit to see the great work they are doing.

I have been training for the last 2 weeks on site and have witnessed how caring, dedicated and engaged the staff is to every Resident on a daily basis. I have nothing but positive things to say about EVERYONE at the Park Lane. The environment is very clean and safe. The staff has been nothing but supportive and loving. I have been an employee of The Park Lane since 2014. I started as a caregiver in our memory care unit and have since moved up the ranks to become the Activity Director. I have found that The Park Lane supports me and my career decisions, and has allowed me opportunities that I havent had elsewhere. I have also learned and grown so much as an employee and a person, while working here. No its not perfect, but thats what makes it perfect for me, because Im not perfectionist. Staff or resident of The Park Lane, you wont find any other place like it!

As an employee at The Park Lane, many of the fond moments Ive experienced stem from our sense of family oriented atmosphere. This is exemplified throughout our community. Whether it be conducting a wellness check on one of our residents to ensuring their daily nutrition is being provided. We are continually providing genuine service and caring for our residence, just as we would one of our own family members. Ive been at The Park Lane for 5+ years now and can honestly say, while interacting with residents on a daily basis, I have gained a tremendous view of their perspectives and lifestyles. Often times when I come into contact with a former residences families they often emphasize on the generosity and kindness that is commonly being portrayed. One of the unique attributes are residence may not understand is a large portion of our efforts we provide stem from us knowing our residence truly appreciate what we do for them. Going forward we will continue to strive to work together while creating new innovative ideas to enrich our residents daily lifestyles. The Park Lane is the best Senior Living Facility! If you are seeking residents for yourself or a family member, you must tour here. They have amazing restaurants, daily activities, group outings, happy hours and a therapy dog! The Directors really take pride in making the atmosphere for their residents a place where they truly want to live. They also have different levels of care giving depending on what your wants and needs may be. Truly a delightful place like no other. Also an ocean view!!I recently dined with a WWII Vet at their restaurant (so many interesting people with history and knowledge you cant get from a book). I was also fortunate to tour with them at the KSBW news station!

I was just in the kitchen and...... WOW. Residents and their guests are all in for a treat. Chef Jaime and his team have outdone themselves this year. After preparing sumptuous feasts for over 34 years for the Park Lane, Chef, its clear that experience matters! I raise my glass in THANKS to you and your team. And based on the many cases of excellent wine I spotted that will accompany dinner, I imagine, I wont be the only one tipping my glass to you tomorrow!
