This transition was challenging for everyone, but Brookdale has restored my faith in quality caring healthcare professionals who value and understand the needs of this aging population. This is long overdue but we want to take the time now to thank everyone at Brookdale for helping make our parents transition to Brookdale as smooth as possible. It was difficult for our mother to give up her independence and coupled with all the COVID shutdowns and restrictions, it was even more difficult for her. We feel very fortunate to have found them a home at Brookdale where they are safe and cared for in such a personal way. Every staff member we have met or worked with has been wonderful to our entire family. A few who have been particularly helpful to our family, begins with Danny Vera in Sales who helped in countless ways to ensure a smooth transition, Hannah who seemed to move mountains to get all the necessary forms and medical requirements figured out, Hollie who became my go to person and showed endless patience and caring, Gail at reception who helped us figure out the lay of the land, and Abraham who has taken very special care of our mother in a way that exceeds his years. And, of course the Director, Alison, for her personal touch in the way she communicates to the families and makes sure the residents are kept busy, safe, and happy. Unfortunately, we do not know everyones name and this is not meant to leave anyone out. There has not been one person weve come in contact with who has not been friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring. We didnt want another day to go by without letting you know how appreciative we are. In researching several Living Assistance facilities and I found Brookdale Monrovia to be exceptional. The staff is extremely friendly and such a pleasure to work with that they make the entire environment feel a little more like family. I have to give Ralph and his staff a huge THANK YOU. They make every effort to make sure the residents needs and comfort a priority and have gone above and beyond for my uncle and his daughter. Every time I visit, I hear from both of them how well things are and how much they enjoy living there. I find myself very happy in knowing we have made the best decision going with Brookdale Monrovia.

I cannot say enough good things about Brookdale Monrovia Assisted Living. The Staff is wonderful and special shout outs to Allyson, Nancy and Ralph for being so kind, caring and respectful. As a resident of Monrovia, I researched many facilities for my Mother so she could live close by, have a good-sized personal living space, maintain her independence, have activities available and feel welcome by her new community all within a budget she could afford. Brookdale Monrovia exceeded all our expectations. My mother shared with me often how she loved her apartment, how everyone was so kind to her and how she wished she had moved here sooner. I highly recommend this facility!

Brookdale Monrovia was very nice and clean. My mother thought it was like a hotel, and she didn't really like that. The rooms were clean and kind of small, but certainly livable.

The staff was very sweet and very nice during our tour of Brookdale. They didnt provide individual private cottages; everything is inside a building. My aunt wants bigger rooms than what they were offering.

We visited Brookdale and my mom liked it, but then she got cold feet about making the move. It was an interesting community, and I was impressed with the staff. It was well located and offered a lot of community services within the immediate area of Monroeville, like church, movie theater outings, and things like that. It was very convenient. The facility itself was well kept.

We were impressed with Brookdale all around. They were friendly and accommodating. They even invited us to have dinner with them to try the food. We were really impressed with them. The apartments were very clean, and we liked them a lot. The residents looked happy and were busy, which we liked. We checked the people out to see their expressions.

Everything was really beautiful at Brookdale Monrovia (formerly The Gables of Monrovia), but I thought the room that was available was a little bit small. I come from a big house, and it is hard to visualize myself in a tiny space. The people were so nice. They even brought me a free dinner one night. They had excursions once a week. I thought it was nice. I really liked it except for the room.

This place was beautiful. It was much more expensive, but it was a beautiful place. The room was very nice, there was a nice library and a nice outdoor area, and they have laundry facilities. The staff was very nice. There was a Dina Barcelona; she was the one that I spoke with, and she showed me around; she was very nice and helpful. This place was gorgeous.

My father was only there for six months. It is an upscale place. He liked this place more, but he wasn't as active there. The staff were really nice, but not as outgoing with the residents. The rooms were a little bit nicer and a little bit bigger. I don't remember my father complaining about the food, but I think the food was probably a little bit better. What impressed me were the amount of activities and the friendliness of the staff.

I like this community as they have nursing staff all the time, and it was more like a home to me. The apartments were really nice and new. It was cheerful, and the residents I met were pretty happy with it. They do a lot of stimulation for the residents, they have lots of activities, and they have service people that come in. I saw the salad bar, and it was pretty fresh, but I havent actually had a meal there yet. The staff was really helpful and friendly and they showed us all over the place. I just dont have any bad to say about it. I thought it was really nice.

Gables was very, very nice and organized. The staff was very nice, polite, courteous and keen. They were very attentive to their patients. They gave us a tour and all the rooms were beautiful and well maintained. The dining room, yard and the area were very nice. It was like a vacation resort.
