After finding out my father needed memory care, I visited other memory care facilities and the don't even come close to The Palms. The space is bright, cheery, clean and well-decorated. The staff are incredibly special people. They pay attention to what the residents need and are communicative. They are patient, caring and positive. From start to finish, the enrollment is easy and with empathy. I am grateful I have The Palms taking care of my dad since I cannot. I know he is in the best place for him and is well-cared for as well as building a new social network.

My Mom just moved in this week, so I can only speak to pre-move-in and the first couple days: The facility is clean, bright and always well-kept. We picked The Palms because, of all the facilities we toured, both the residents and the staff seemed happy and well, more so than the other places. Rachel, Roland, Jennee, Amanda, Alva, Kelly, Jonathan and the whole team were extremely helpful in all ways as we prepared the unit for my mom as she finished off difficult stays in hospital and rehab prior to moving into The Palms. Rachel and Jennee in particular really helped me navigate those stressful and far-less-than-ideal situations. Mom is now comfortable and pleased with her new home. The staff continues to be responsive, patient and caring as she begins to integrate into The Palms community. We're really pleased with the choice we made.

My Mom has lived at the Palms independent for 9 months now and there is no looking back to before this wonderful life. She loves it and therefore, so do I - gives me great comfort knowing she is well cared for. Robbie and Vickie are fantastic hosts and they interact with the all the residents daily. I visit at least every Wednesday for a fabulous breakfast… and the daily dose of humor from Robbie's morning presentation. And if we're lucky, we get show quality piano from resident Bob. Kitchen staff prepare a delicious daily variety of meals. Robby's other staff are all great too - Oscar, Stephanie, Dawn, Claudia to name a few

We are having a great experience for our loved one at the Memory Care Facility. The atmosphere and activity level is much better than we ever anticipated. They get the residents dressed, have a large room where they are watching movies, community dining and they even have live performers come and try to engage the residents. The manager Madison is on top of everything and the staff are very attentive to our requests. We looked at several facilities in the desert and when Rachael gave us the tour and information, it was so far above and beyond what the other facilities gave in the way of a tour and detailed information, we were shocked and suspicious. It seemed too good to be true. Rachael actually seemed to enjoy her job and had a great attitude. Some other facilities wouldn't give us an exact breakdown of costs and getting information was an effort. It has been two months now and we are very happy with our decision using the Memory Care at The Palms.

When I could no longer care for my loved one at her home (in California) , and she was unwilling to come to my home (in Massachusetts) I was faced with finding the next best thing. Choosing an assisted living or memory care facility for my loved one, for me, was one of the hardest decision I have made through my 65 years. Rachel, and the whole team at The Palms, have made this difficult time much easier. There are many opportunities to make new friends, many activities to engage in, and 24 hour care; not to mention a beautiful facility, and great rooms. It's still early days for my loved one, but I am hopeful that she has found a space and community where she will be supported and loved in my absence.

My sister and I toured many care communities in the area to find the right place for our mother whose dementia had progressed beyond my capacity to care for both of our parents. We feel strongly that we made the right choice in moving mom to the Generations Memory Care at The Palms nine months ago. Madison, Generations Director, is knowledgeable and caring. Every care team member is warm, friendly, and empathetic. In addition to observing the team members provide outstanding personal care to residents, I have watched them respectfully and gently redirect folks if a behavior escalates, calm residents that are anxious, spend one-on-one quality time with residents, and encourage participation in activities. They treat my dad and I like family when we come to visit. The activities coordinators are fun and encouraging. The administrative team treats every resident and family member with kindness and respect. They go the extra mile to provide the best possible environment and care for residents. Our family is approaching the time we need additional support for our father. We are extremely confident that the team at The Palms will help us with a smooth transition for dad and will provide both support for his needs and a welcoming environment along with activities that will have him happy and engaged. We feel very grateful that both of our parents will be residents at The Palms receiving excellent care.

Recently our dear friend moved into the Palms Assisted Living. His health was declining and it became apparent that he needed more assistance with his daily needs. Since he has been there, we have seen a change in his over all health. He is getting stronger, more alert, and has already made many friends. The staff has been amazing, welcoming him, and treating him with compassion and respect. They even arranged to have him go up in a Stearman Aircraft as part of a program that they have there called "Livin The Dream ". Growing older can be more comfortable at the Palms. 

Grow My Spirit

I had heard good things about the The Palms so recommended it to my grandparents. After 6 months of visiting, I see energetic improvements in them that had been in decline for the past 20 years. It shows you how important the right environment is, and the management team here does a great job of providing constant stimulation. Every guest has the freedom to get the most out their own custom experience, and it was nice to see both my grandparents smiling and engaged in passions of their choosing. Thank you to everyone on staff who works so hard to 'keep the energy up!' Our whole family appreciates it!

Finding the right Assisted Living community for my mother to live was my #1 priority. My goal was to find a place that could and wanted to care for mom like her own family would. Make her feel welcome, and at home. Give her all the assistance and dignity that she needs and deserves. All of this while providing her with activities and the ability to make good quality friends. I know that sounds like high expectations, but I was determined to find just that place. I visited many Assisted Living Communities in the Coachella Valley, and The Palms At La Quinta Assisted Living by far stood out to be the one that met ALL of my expectations. The facility itself is stunning, clean, new, and well-kept, just like my mothers own house would be. Every management an staff member is always happy, welcoming, caring, and there to assist, just like moms own family and friends are. The levels of care mom need are available and provided with kindness and respect, just how you would want your mom to be treated. I really couldn’t ask for anything more, they have been fantastic. From the time that I went in to tour the facility, to the time the head of nursing evaluated my mom, to the time I moved my mother in, and to the times that I visit her each week… EVERY experience has been nothing but exceptional. I would highly recommend you looking into The Palms At La Quinta Assisted Living for your loved one. You won’t be disappointed!

I'm very thankful for the dynamic and vibrant team at The Palms La Quinta. In particular, Amber, the director makes a positive impact by leading life experiences with a keen attention to detail. Her focus on results is above and beyond expectations in regular scheduled and special events such as exercise, craft and educational classes as well as veterans recognition and holiday festivities. She directs the team with a very organized yet free flowing enjoyable vibe. Isabella is also intergral to the teams success with customized classes and personalized support provided on a continuous basis. This team dynamic fosters a greatly improved lifestyle for my father and the other elderly community residents. The collective staff at The Palms effectively extends a high quality of life and well being with an atmosphere always relaxed and equally bubbling with happiness for the residents and visiting families. Meals are super tasty and plentiful and are layed out on daily menus. I highly recommend The Palms at La Quinta for best life experience. 5 Stars!!!

Our loved one moved into the Palm's approximately a month ago, and it has been a very smooth transition for him. The staff there is very caring and attentive, and I love that they get the folks up every day to start a new day. It has some activities and They also have opportunity to sit outdoors. My mom recently moved in to The Palms at LaQuinta after some hesitation of the thought of “assisted living”. From the moment they rolled out the red carpet and made a point to make her feel welcomed, she can’t stop talking about how much she loves it here. Her room is spacious nice, she loves having all her meals prepared for her with delicious choices to choose from, the activities are endless. She’s enjoyed flower arranging, making peach cobbler in the oversized kitchen area in the “Happy Hour” room. Karaoke is geared to sing along and dancing is encouraged too. The movie theatre (with popcorn) is so fun and she is engaged with so many friendly people throughout the day. Her social calendar is crammed full of fun activities. She continues to thank me for introducing her to this place. It warms my heart to see my mom so happy and truly blessed by all the people who work there to keep her smiling and laughing. I would encourage anyone to take the tour and check it out. I wish I would have encouraged my mom sooner. ❤️

George moved in 4 days ago. It was an urgent move with 3 days notice. Rachel,Jennifer and Roland were fabulous. I never heard “no”. George was given a red carpet welcome with all staff participating. The studio is beautiful. In this short amount of time all staff know him and he is taken care of with sensitivity and a smile. It is evident that the staff love working there! George has had a beautiful haircut and is settling in. As his spouse I am thrilled and can relax knowing he is well taken care of. Isn’t that all we want?

My 91 year old mother is a resident in memory care. She has challenges with dementia. The Palms made her move into their residency as smooth and caring as possible. My mother is very fond of the staff, and tells me that they are genuinely caring people. My observations of their interactions with the residents over the past two years confirms her impressions. My mother receives excellent daily care and attention, in an environment that affords complete safety. I recommend this facility without reservation.

Its a shame it was rated so low 9-12 months ago. Management was disconnected from clientele and each other, true. However, the change in Management has caused a complete turnaround and residents appear happier, more active and better cared for. My parents have been there nearly two years. Management pays attention if theres a problem; you just need to bring it to their attention.
