I've been volunteering here some weekends for the past six months and it has been the most rewarding experience. From painting with the residents to walking the goats Im excited to continue working with this facility.

We had been searching for a senior community for my mother in law for months. When we toured Healdsburg Senior Living we knew we had found the right place. Staff is incredible. So much so they called and text messaged me the first few days to let my family know how my mother in law was doing. Simply put, and incredible staff and community. We are lucky to have found such a great fit.

I have a friend living there. As of October October 2022 it has the feel of a high end place with loving workers and friendly residents!
June 2022
From the goats and the chickens to the lovely grounds and the beautiful interior, this community is lovely from all angles. However what really makes the community shine is the dedicated core group of staff who continue to work very hard to meet and exceed residence needs. Looking forward to continued improvement and success with this beautiful community

Beautiful, well operated assisted living and memory care community in the heart of Healdsburg. Impressed with the leadership team and how the residents appeared happy and engaged. Home is in Healdsburg.

When evaluating memory care units for my mother in 2017, I was immediately impressed with Healdsburg Senior Living's facilities and staff. Healdsburg Senior Living maintains a large portion of their property as a mini-farm with vegetable, herb, and flower gardens, chickens, and dwarf goats. The sensory experiences provided by the "farm" are integral to their approach to memory therapy, and the residents are encouraged to help with the gardening instead of sitting inside all day. Since Mom grew up on a farm, I knew this environment would be ideal for her. I continue to be impressed with the dedication of the staff to the well-being of the residents, from the music therapy programs to the thorough emergency procedures that have been so vital during the wildfires and COVID-19. When I meet families of other residents, a common comment is that we will move ourselves into Healdsburg Senior Living should we need assisted living in the future.

This is the best elder community in Sonoma County. It has fabulous events that always involve the local community. Great activities always going on in all three communities. It is warn and friendly and it felt like home to go there. The food is top rung and the staff is excellent. Staff is long term that means the community is run with excellence.

Staff treat my 95 y.o. Mother like family which has proven so important during the current isolation of residents. She is treated with individual caring that is reassuring since I am limited in what I can do for her. But even before that the facility was a comfortable place with a very homey vibe. The rooms are spacious, filled with light, Kept very clean and are either overlooking rolling lawns or the incredible garden. The garden! The passion of Tony F, a man who is truly in a job for which he is quintessentially suited. The garden, which was designed by Tony and is supported by a an able team of gardeners, features an amazing variety of flowers, and in The summer vegetables abound. This year there were regular afternoon parties that featured whatever the garden was offering. My mother loved it. She also enjoys the antics of the three goats who live with some of the most beautiful chickens I've ever seen. There is tremendous heart here. Beth, commander of the front desk, brings so much sincere caring to her Job, I will be forever in her debt for the texted photos of Mom participating in activities-bingo,Yahtzee, root beer float parties, flower arranging-to name a few. These snaps help both my mother and me feel connected. Impromptu FaceTime calls, when Mom is having a bad day, are also so beneficial. An eternity of thanks to all these brave and generous people who have stepped into the role of family as well as caregivers.

It's hard to express in words the work that Tony Fisher does with the residents of Healdsburg Senior Living community. I am a teacher at Healdsburg High School and have worked with Tony and HSLC for the last several years by bringing groups of students to meet with their memory care residents. The residents at HSLC are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion at a level that I have never seen when visiting senior living centers. It's amazing to see the facilities, the gardens, and how the staff relates to the elder community who live there. Tony Fisher has taken the time to not only provide a great environment at HSLC, but has given countless hours in helping the community learn about seniors, dementia, and memory loss, as well as helping them understand and relate to the residents there. I can highly recommend Healdsburg Senior Living Community to anyone looking for a senior care facility for a family member. And while your there, spend some time with Tony. His passion and commitment, to this often forgotten generation, will no doubt impact your life.

Our father has been a resident at Healdsburg Senior Living for a couple years now. The staff are delightful, professional, and very attentive to the needs of residents. The outdoor farm animals and garden are a real bonus - both for interaction with the natural world, as well as the fresh produce and eggs brought to the dining room. The meals are well prepared and varied. Dad is very comfortable with this as his home. Along with his family and friends, life at HSL is what brings him joy.

This is a magical place that cares for seniors in a way every child would want their loved one cared for. Our family is so lucky to have found Healdsburg Senior Living. And though we found it by accident, we think it was meant to be! As I was on a weekend drive with my mom we came across this lush property with balloons and decorations advertising a special event. I jokingly told my mom we should crash it, and my very proper mom said, lets! So we did and to our surprise Patch Adams was the featured special guest speaker. He is the the doctor who famously dresses up with a clown nose and jokes with patients . Robin Williams portrayed him on screen. Adams is also a serious advocate about the importance of loving care and connection to patients. Tony Fisher is an advocate of that as well. He has the title of Marketing Director at Healdsburg Senior Living but he does much more than that. He is responsible for bringing Patch Adams along with so many other programs and events to the property. This includes Music & Memory where Alzheimer's patients are paired up with the music of their youth and often have moments of great clarity as they listen to the tunes. My beautiful mother was able to feel at home and able to walk and even work in the property's gorgeous gardens and fruit and vegetable fields. She felt like she was on her childhood farm. There are goats, chickens and school children even visit the property which brings such energy to the Seniors who never ever feel locked in. Mom has been in 4 places and all are properties where seniors who needed special care were basically locked in and warehoused. They were often medicated at these facilities to keep them placated, as giving them one on one attention would be too hard with so few staff on hand. Healdsburg Senior Living is one in a million. It should be the place others emulate to honor our moms, dads, grandparents and others who deserve kindness and respect. We will always be grateful for Tony and the staff for caring for our mom as though she was their own.

I have had many occasions to visit and participate in events at Healdsburg Senior Living over the years. Truly a beautiful assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing facility. I'm grateful to be able to see first hand the many amazing activities and engagement for not only the residents , but the families and community. I applaud Tony Fisher for his dedication and hard work to implementing such amazing enrichment to their Seniors. He has gone above and beyond in raising the bar in Senior Living.
September 2020
Awesome place. Very happy we found it for my friend and neighbor's mother. She loves it. They take great care of their residents. We love the magnificent gardens, the community involvement (Comm-University Program) bringing student to the facility (when not in quarantine like the rest of us). These programs go a long way in keeping the residents from feeling isolated. It makes life interesting for them. A job well done!

My parents moved into this Healdsburg senior community 4 years ago. They have loved living there, and much due to the warm, caring and stable management and staff. I have appreciated the staff's efforts to keep me informed of things related to my parents health status, and especially now during these crazy times. I have seen how they have planned for and handled wildfire evacuations, and made it as seamless as possible to the residents. Really tremendous effort on there part, and we are thankful for that. I feel that Rob, Terry and Tony are great partners with me in helping my Dad at this time in his life, and I have the utmost confidence in them and recommending this place to help care for others' aging parents.
September 2020
I attended one of Healdsburg Senior Livings big fundraiser events they do for local non-profits. They brought the Rat Pack tribute Band from Las Vegas as a fundraiser for the Alz. Assoc. They had a full on Casino with live music, a buffet w/ deserts and champagne. After 2 hours of gambling for prizes and enjoying the food, it was time for the Grand finale. Everyone went outside to a big white tent that seated 300 guests. We were treated to a Vegas style show that had the crowd on their feet. Everyone loved it. It was so popular, they brought them back again the next year. No wonder the residents are so happy there. They really know how to throw a party.

I met Tony Fisher, the Marketing Director at Healdsburg Senior Living, now Pacifica, seven years ago. At that time, my brother and I knew at some point our mother would need to live in a memory care residence. As we live in Healdsburg, we started our research with Healdsburg Senior Living. At our first meeting, Tony explained what they offer and their approach to memory care as well as the activities, visiting musicians and gardens. Animals and the Comm University program have since been added. By the end of our meeting, we knew we had found the ideal place for mom. She has now been a resident for almost seven years. Tony, as well as the other staff members, not only take excellent care of the residents, but know and care about the family members as well. .

Tony Fisher is an invaluable gift to Pacific Senior Living and to the entire senior industry. Tony is a pioneer and innovative visionary leader whose passion for the seniors is stamped on the culture he has created over the past 10 years at Pacific Senior Living and in Sonoma County. I am inspired by Tony's passion, dedication, and above all, his integrity to provide the best to our seniors. You can see for yourself the wide portfolio of programs Tony implemented at Healdsburg Senior Living! He created a huge landscape with a tactile and vegetable garden filled with exotic, environmentally friendly flowers which enhance the preservation of bees. He implemented an animal program with chicken coop and many other animals. He is an essential promoter of the "Alive Inside" music and memory program for those who are living with Alzheimer's and Dementia. In addition, Tony uses all these programs and his rich environment to promote his educational passion through his powerful Comm-University Program. This program brings in 300-400 students monthly from 13 schools in Sonoma County. With this program, Tony took his passion to the educational realm. He is giving students the opportunity to learn compassion and how to interact, serve and honor the wisdom of our senior population, specially those who are living with Alzheimer's and Dementia. In short, Tony's legacy in the senior industry is transforming the way we do business in this field. Tony, I am honored to call you as my friend! Driving into the facility gives a peek into how well this facility is taken care of and once inside, the decor and cleanliness confirms they take care of details. The staff is welcoming, starting at the front desk and those you walk past in the hallways. I also take great confidence when I walk in, the protocols for our covid 19 crisis are in place and sanitizing is continually seen. I also observe several activities for the residents going on each day, such as mental and physical activities that engage them to help in their daily living, I find that encouraging. Last mention is the dinning room that seems well run with great choices for meals. I would highly recommend this facility to any family members that are looking for a comfortable and well run home for your family members.

I am a photographer and artist and came to tour and photograph the beautiful gardens and animals. I could see how happy residents were as they sat with their families looking at the beautiful garden areas with blooming flowers while they enjoyed watching the goats and chickens. The numerus water features and bird feeders attract birds of all kinds that fill the air with song and activity. What a blessing for the seniors that are living there. I hope Healdsburg Senior Living is still around if I need a place someday.

A wonderful and unique senior living community! Lot's of involvement with the surrounding community as well. A beautiful garden, and absolutely wonderful staff.
May 2020
Having been to Healdsburg Senior Living for a client of ours that was being transferred there I have to share the wonderful experience I had with Tony Fisher and the entire staff. Welcoming and lovely all around.
May 2020
I have nothing but the highest praise for the programs and staff at Healdsburg Senior Living. My 91-year-old aunt has lived there for nearly 10 years, first in assisted living and then in memory care. She has benefited greatly from the innovative programs at Healdsburg, especially the gardens (the place looks like Paradise year-round), the visiting musicians, and the partnership with schools that brings schoolchildren in to meet the seniors. My auntie is a musician, and it gives her joy to play the piano and sing with the kids. In addition to these special things, my aunt's day-to-day life is made comfortable and meaningful by the caring staff--some of whom have been there for years (a great endorsement). I'm so grateful! Special shout-outs to Tony, Terry, and Rob, superb managers and thoroughly wonderful human beings.
May 2020
This place is a gem! The staff has done an amazing job accommodating the Healdsburg evacuation to Santa Rosa in Fall 2019 (wildfires), in handling the covid-19 pandemic in a way which has so far left residents as safe as possible (zero cases to date after 4+ weeks of lockdown). The facility has a terrific, caring staff, and a beautiful garden which provides vegetables to the kitchen part of the year. The food from the kitchen is good! The facility has assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and something between independent (assisted) living and memory care (high-functioning memory care). My mom is in the high-functioning memory building and receives care with warmth. The facility reaches out to the community by hosting events which liven up the place for residents (my visual favorite so far has been the quilting "gathering" which occurs every year in the spring). There is also a program to engage residents and teens from the surrounding community; the "close-up" connection time clearly perks up the residents and benefits the youngsters as well. Sharing projects, stories, and laughter helps all participants feel valued.

For several years, the Santa Rosa Quilt Guild has participated in a wonderful Quilt Show sponsored by the Senior Living Community in Healdsburg. If is well organized and very well attended by residents of the SLC, several local guilds, and residents of nearby communities. It is such a nice event with breakfast, lunch and a guest speaker from the Quilting world. The SLC residents love the show and mingle with all of us that are attending and/or volunteering this event. The lobby is inviting, spacious and beautifully decorated. The food and dining room were lovely and the staff was welcoming and helpful to all of us attending and volunteering the event. I was impressed by the SLC and believe it is one of the best, if not the nicest senior living experience I have ever witnessed. Two of my friends had their mother's living there and were impressed by the loving care and support they and their loved ones received. I recommend this facility for your loved ones when they need assistance in living their daily lives.

I first met Tony Fisher when he presented his "Comm-University" program to our Home Instead sponsored Rohnert Park Garden Club meeting. I was impressed by Tony's passion for building connections between students and the Healdsburg Senior Living residents, enriching the lives of both. I've since visited the HSL facility, walked the spectacular garden, petted the goats, and enjoyed the warm, caring atmosphere created by their exceptional staff. Tony and his team are wonderful partners in making a difference in the lives of seniors in our community. Elizabeth Hale, Home instead Senior Ca

I've had the pleasure of volunteering there for approximately 6 years now. I'm so impressed with everyone that works there...they are so kind and caring to all the residents, and just a great group to work for. Plus they are doing a beautiful remodel and updating the whole place, and have an award-winning garden to enjoy with wonderful fresh produce for the meals. Lots of fun activities and events going on there regularly.
March 2020
I have been working with Tony Fisher for over 8 years. They provide an environment that is nurturing and a place for people to come and continue to live and experience life through all of the activities, the outdoor environment with the animals, gardening and interaction of Staff. There is always, and I do mean always something going on. I have always told my two Sons, never to put me in a care home until I met Tony. Feel in love with this facility, that is why we come to visit at the holidays, during the Christmas Bazaar and then we also get the opportunity to visit individuals room to room through my non-profit Santa Tim. It takes strong leadership to provide this environment and heart, Tony has both.
March 2020
Such a wonderful community. From Assisted Living, Memory Care to Skilled Nursing, you couldn't ask for a better place. Staff is wonderful, from management to care givers, activity staff, everyone! They are great with the residents meeting their needs with care and compassion. One of the great things you will see is the beautiful garden! Tony Fisher does a wonderful job year after year planning and organizing the garden. Residents help with planting seeds and when they are ready, in the garden they go! Beautiful flowers that can be cut and used for decorating. The residents enjoy seeing the outcome of their planting! Beautiful to take the residents for an afternoon walk and see the beauty.
February 2020
Beautiful facility where the staff truly cares about their patients!
February 2020
Tony Fisher and Pacifica Senior Living/Healdsburg Senior Living have it going on! I am not only a family who has taken this journey, but I am also a 22 year Senior Care Family Consultant so I do not give it away. If only we could clone Tony! Healdsburg should be the gold star standard! The garden....the beehives....the farm animal babies! Just the absolute BEST! If you haven't seen this property, you need to go. Just amazing. The culture of retirement/assisted living should all be required to use this approach at providing communal living that matters and gives back. BRAVO, Tony and Pacifica Senior Living/Healdsburg Senior Living. Magnificent!
January 2020
Mom is getting Excellent care. Could not be happier. The group of care givers and managers are able to meet the challenges of the day and in this last year that has been significance. Evacuation at no notice and now lock down. My hats off to them as they work in challenging conditions.
January 2020
Very nice place. It has Assisted Living, Memory Care & Skilled Nursing. Staff are amazing and it showed each time I come visit and attended events. Management also do a lot of community service, fundraising events, the Alive Inside Foundation and the Comm-University Program that brings 300-400 students in monthly, and more. A place that definitely to be considered when looking for a Senior Living Community.
January 2020
My mother in law stayed here for less than a week, and wouldn't go back if given the choice. Staff consistently took 40 plus minutes to see what she was ringing for help for. And instead of happily helping her use the rest room they'd insist she use her 'commode' (bed pan) when in all reality she should be walking to avoid blood clots. She was scared and kept calling her roommate her cell mate, very institutional place.
December 2019
Healdsburg Senior Living, A Pacifica Community should be the model for all of our nation's Assisted Living Centers. The visionary Tony Fisher and the most open minded Executive Director Rob Matthews, have created a team of leaders and staff whose sole purpose is to find engaging and creative ways to bring joy and purpose into the lives of seniors. From the most amazing garden, with miniature goats and chickens, to a walking path that incorporates rehabilitation activities along the way, to events such as professional stage shows out of Las Vegas, to every new resident in Memory Care receiving headphones to use for Music and Memory, there is never any expense spared in bringing fun to the residents of this community. I've never seen anything like their "Communiversity" where hundreds of young people from the local school district get involved with seniors. Kindergarten kids come and help seniors learn how to use Ipads, teens in the agriculture classes help the seniors garden, film students learn how to make documentaries using the stories of seniors. It is impossible to list all that has been done in this community through the years, but suffice it to say, I could never let any of my family members go anywhere other than to Healdsburg Senior Living.
December 2019
Healdsburg Senior Living is a unique place because it's run by some of the most caring people I've ever met. My mother moved to Healdsburg Senior Living back in 2012 after a devastating stroke in 2010. I loved it right off the bat because of the gorgeous gardens (which my mom loves) and the genuine generosity of Tony (Director of Marketing) and Rob (General Manager). Since then, the HSL staff has become like family to my family -- I cannot say enough about how dedicated, loyal, and caring Rob, Tony, and the rest of the team are. And since then, too, the grounds and facilities have only gotten better and better. Tony has created a paradise at HSL -- with seasonal vegetable gardens, loads of gorgeous flowers, farm animals, waterfalls, walking paths, pergolas, "tactile gardens" and more -- that are an absolute delight for both the residents and visitors alike. It is so lovely to have a picnic with Mom out under the pergola overlooking the garden with the sound of burbling water ... laughing at the antics of the goats and chickens. And to see the faces of the residents as their grandkids -- and children of the staff -- play with the animals. As Tony and Rob once said to me during a particularly challenging time after the fires here in Sonoma County ... "you guys aren't just a name on a list -- you're family." And they live that truth every day.
December 2019
My mother moved to Healdsburg Senior Living about three years ago to be closer to my brother's family in Sonoma County. From our first meeting, our entire extended family has been very impressed with the facility, the community, and its staff. The grounds are beautiful and clean, with an organic heirloom garden and some lively farm animals to pet. There are numerous activities for residents gauged to their interests and abilities. Students from nearby K-12 schools and colleges come year-round visit with residents; it is a popular program for everyone involved. Residents also take guided group visits to nearby attractions, or can request bus services for shopping. Meals are freshly prepared and catered for individual dietary needs. HSL also provides different levels of residences and care should residents need more specialized attention. Most important of all, the staff are professional, kind, and attentive. We are very happy that we decided to choose HSL as our mother's new home.
November 2019
I have known about the amazing work that your community does through the Comm-University program via my shared participation with the Alive Inside Foundation. I share Tony's passion to embrace the human connection that grows between residents and the youth that participate. There is enormous value in the bonds that are developed between students and their elder buddies and the sense of self and purpose they both feel. I would highly recommend Healdsburg to anyone looking for a senior community. Their innovative and caring approach to keeping residents happy, engaged and connected to the greater community is real and is priceless.......not just a brochure promise. I am also a caregiver to my Mom who is elderly and I wouldn't even consider another community if I was in your area. Keep up the Great work!!!
November 2019
I work with Senior communities of all kinds throughout the Bay Area and out of the 100s I know first hand Healdsburg Senior Living truly stands out. The team and passion for life here is really something. Between the smiles on the residents' faces, and garden with animal friends, and the amazing Comm-University program that typically brings in 100s of students each month across 13 different schools this place is wonderfully unique. I am so happy this community exists to offer such a wonderful life to our Seniors.
November 2019
As a fellow resident of Healdsburg, I have known about Healdsburg Senior Living for many years. My Great Grandparents and grandparents spent some time in the Skilled Nursing for Rehab. The staff took great care of them all, so my review comes straight from the heart. The community serves Assisted Living, Memory Care & Skilled Nursing that accommodate the needs of residents looking for continuum care. The Comm-University Program brings many students in monthly and really gives the residents that intergenerational connection they need. Don't forget to check out the live animals they have in the back that brings smiles to the residents faces and for those who visit them. This is a wonderful place to consider when looking into senior living options.
November 2019
I have engaged with Healdsburg Senior Living as both a volunteer and as a partnering agency providing supplemental care for some residents. The facility and grounds are beautiful. The outdoor area is especially inspiring, and such a unique asset for a senior care community. The numerous activities available to residents at all levels of ability are such a plus. And their unique Communiversity program, which connects seniors with young students, should be modeled everywhere!
October 2019
Phenomenal place! If you're looking for a first class place with friendly staff, look no further. Ask for Tony Fisher when you get there, he's the best!
October 2019
This location is like NO Other! Their entire Onsite Management team is so solid and committed to their residents and each other. I have watched them expand their programs to what they're today over the last decade or longer and they just keep growing with creative experiences for their residents. They have the most beautiful garden and the flowers & vegetables they cultivate are good for the soul and senses. It was built with their physical therapist's advice to make it a rehab site outdoors for residents and not just a pretty place to replenish your spirit. They don't do anything halfway at Healdsburg Senior Living. They're ALL in with including the beehives and the farm animals they host. The goats are equal to the bunnies and the chickens they house on site in their little red barn beside the garden which brings entertainment and engagement to their resident daily lives. Often, I am on site and they all seem to know the names of each resident that passes by. This is only achieved when your team is committee to their culture of inclusion which this location really is! Their activities do not only include entertainment & education seminars but great community events, so their residents feel, although they are living in an aging village- they are still value contributors to the Healdsburg / Sonoma county community! Their Christmas Bazaar, the quilt show, the fundraisers for Alzheimer's association, when they had the Rat Pack Performers from Vegas put on a LIVE show in their parking lot , when the real Patch Adams came to speak... I can go on and on with all the enrichment this location offers. I cannot say enough about their COMM-UNIVERSITY program! Wow now that is Thought Leadership!
June 2019
My aunt, father and step-mother have all been residents at Healdsburg Senior Living in the various sections. Also, many friends have recuperated in the skilled nursing section. I don't think they could have received better care anywhere. Rob seems to have a knack for hiring people who genuinely care about others; this results in a great attitude throughout the facility.
March 2019
All of my experience working with Healdsburg Senior Living has been very positive. The atmosphere of the residents is up-beat, engaging and unique. I especially admire the abundant, verdant garden! Each resident is involved in it's creation to the level of their ability, even if it is merely planting a seed, they can take 'ownership' of it's beauty. They also have incorporated some farm animals (pygmy goats, chickens, etc.) so the feeling of a Healdsburg "farm" is refreshing to all who live there, and visit. AND, I have to mention the incredible and growing Comm-University program that originated here! The award-winning documentary, "Alive Inside" was the impetus that has since developed into a multi-generational way to unite younger people (all the way from preschoolers to high-schoolers) with a resident, identify the music that "speaks to them", and provide a personal play list for that individual to enjoy. The music ignites the spirit, even in someone who otherwise seems to not be as engaged in life as they once were. This isn't just a "program", really, but a much-needed invitation to reunite our generations. Overall, I think the imagination and true caring that happens at Healdsburg Senior Living is unique and hopefully will become more of a model for other residential communities.

I was there for physical therapy for 20 days? Caring staff, good food, emotional support. Overall no-one wants to be in a facility like this, but they did help me a great deal.

I had the pleasure of getting to know staff and residents at Healdsburg Senior Living through the Comm-University program. As garden coordinator at The Healdsburg School, I brought students to work on activities with residents in their beautiful well maintained garden. The students developed strong bonds with their elder buddies and each week their faces would light up as they did fun garden related activities together. HSL has numerous other programs that bring students and residents together, giving a sense of purpose and value to both. I highly recommend HSL for their innovative and caring approach to keeping residents happy, engaged and connected to the greater community.
