The tables were lovely, the food delicious, and the entertainment perfect for all the mothers. I felt that every resident and guest left feeling that they had been treated in a very special way. I know my Mom and I felt that we had had a very special time together.

My 90 year old mom moved into Silvergate under hospice care following a severe illness. Thanks in large part to the attentive care of the nurses and medtechs she is no longer on hospice and is thriving with minimal assistance. The quality of the facility, the dining experience, the staff and the residents of Silvergate all rate five stars. It is a wonderful community of people. Mom actually feels loved by the caregivers and we are blessed to be part of the Silvergate Family.

Silvergate is a lovely community. The staff is patient, caring, and they make a genuine effort to get to know the residents individually. The dining room serves wonderful restaurant style meals. The residents are friendly and welcoming as well. Silvergates activity calendar is full of a variety of social, cultural, and exercise based offerings to meet the needs and interests of the residents. The buildings are clean, the grounds are meticulous and inviting, and the apartments are clean and well maintained. Moving into a retirement-independent living community can be an emotional transition on many levels, but Silvergate has done a wonderful job of making the transition comfortable and positive for my parents. I am so grateful to have this outstanding community a few minutes away from me here in Fallbrook where I know my parents are surrounded by caring people in a beautiful, safe, engaging environment!

My wife, diagnosed with dementia-Alzheimer, moved in the Silvergate Suites in March 2019. During her stay there, the entire staff took care of her wonderfully. As her condition worsened, the staff consistently helped her with genuine, attentive kindness, comforting her and making sure that she would be well at all times, until her passing in June 2019. Helen Gray and Mia Pacias thoughtfulness were much appreciated by my family and myself.

My mom moved into Silvergate Fallbrook on January 8, 2020 after a year of discussing it with her. She finally made the decision to go and I am amazed at how happy she is in her new apartment. Every time I talk to her she tells me how glad she is that she moved there; she seems like a new person! The apartment is lovely, there and lots of things to do on site, the food is wonderful and the staff is so accommodating and helpful. This is the best decision we could have possibly made for her at age 91. I highly recommend.

Moved my 93 year old mother to Silvergate Fallbrook in April this year. The apartment is very nice, a one bedroom one bath unit that has a cute patio overlooking a green belt area; my mom loves it! I am so happy because my mom loves it there and regularly comments that she loves her apartment and that everyone is so nice; she is referring to both the other residents and the staff. She is also very complementary of the food. I can attest to the fact that the staff personnel are very friendly and professional; they keep an eye on my mom and are very accommodating to her and our needs. I couldnt be happier with this place and would recommend it to anyone.

No positive review could ever do this facility and its staff complete justice. They went above and beyond so many times I lost count. We lost my father in September 2018. Married for 65 years, my mother did not want to be alone, nor could she be due to her meds. We moved her into Silvergate (the front building) and the staff embraced her, visited her, gave her pep talks, and did everything they could to make her happy and comfortable. It soon became quite evident to us that this was much more than just a business or a job to them... they truly cared about our mother for the human being she was. They even found out what candy and root beer she liked and began stocking it in the general store! After suffering a stroke, our mother had to be moved to the rear building for assisted living. There were some complications with timing, her being in the hospital etc. and Gay helped us through all of it, making a challenging time much less stressful. Again the staff there embraced mom and gave her much more than care. They showed compassion and abundant love to her. Our mother passed in February of 2019. She just wanted to be with dad again. The time from his passing to hers - just under 5 months was undoubtedly the most challenging time in our lives. My brother, sister and our spouses could not even imagine what this would have been like had Silvergate not been such a blessing and support system - not only for our mom but for us as well. Gays father Arne is a resident and had befriended mom. He took time to come visit her in assisted living and would just talk and visit with her. Near the end, he sat and rubbed her feet for over an hour. I think this is significant as he is clearly a compassionate man, who raised an equally compassionate daughter in Gay. That compassion shines brightly in all the staff and it makes all the difference in the world. There arent too many opportunities to use words like superlative and exceptional these days but Silvergate deserves them. We will forever be grateful for the roles everyone there played keeping mom comfortable and keeping our family sane. In a dark time, they were a very bright and comforting light. If this sounds like a glowing review, I assure you it does not do them justice. I simply cannot find the words to express the difference they made in our lives.

This retirement home changed my misconception about assisted living. The facility amazed me with all of the entertainment options and the rooms felt more like an apartment rather than a retirement home. The staff was incredibly friendly, especially Gay Rose, who knew the residents by name and was very knowledgeable and gave an awesome tour! Very impressed with Silvergate.

My father lived here for 3 1-2 years before his passing recently. He loved the staff and enjoyed the friendship of many residents here. I often couldnt find him, because he was active with the community events or volunteering with the FB Sheriffs dept. he also loved the food!! He was the campus food services director for Indiana University for 35 years and a Lieutenant Col in the Army. He had high standards, so if you are considering this community for yourself or a loved one you cant do any better then Silvergate!! 5 stars

My brother was a resident in the Dementia / Alzheimer (Lantern) facility for two years before he died. From the beginning until he died, the staff that cared for him had shone so much love for him you would have the impression they were his immediate family. With all the confusion and frustration that dementia residents will experience, I saw first hand the compassion and dignity in which the way the staff would deal with the resident’s difficulty. (I was there many times without their knowledge.) I was pleased the way the staff would attempt to keep all the resident’s engaged in activities they were capable of participating in. They were taken on many field trips to keep them involved in the world that they once knew. I got the impression all their activities was designed to simulate the mind to improve their memory as much as possible. I found the rooms and the meals to be very adequate. Lastly I appreciate the way I was kept informed of any issue that involved my brother!
