A big "thank you" goes out to the caregivers and medtech team at Cypress Court! Our 92-year-old mom has had some recent health issues and Dustin Banks (Resident Care Director), Erika Ontiveros (Resident Care Coordinator), and their wonderful staff have sought to make both her transition to a new doctor and new medications as smooth as possible. The Cypress Court medtechs currently oversee mom's medications with care and accuracy and, with mom's permission, keep our family up-to-date on mom's health status. Mom has been living at Cypress Court for the past 7+ years -- it continues to be a special place she calls "home". We are grateful for the kind and caring staff at Cypress Court. Mom's 3 daughters, with much appreciation, again say "thank you"! Update: I wanted to relay how seamlessly the Cypress Court staff has worked with a local hospice program for mom's care and well-being. The communication is exceptional and we (daughters) have been kept in the loop regarding mom's condition throughout. Thanks again Cypress Court!

I’m always impressed with Mom’s assisted living community. We went to the NYE celebration last night and had such a ball. The staff put so much into each event. The food is always delicious, timely, elegant. Last night, Lobster tail! And the party after included drinks, dancing, and balloons! There were so many smiles. I have been generally very happy with Cypress Court. I think the facilities are well Maintained and the staff has good communication. Medical folks are very good and the communication solid. It can take a little while to get acquainted with everyone, but after that, it works well. One thing that I am concerned about are the planned 8% increases in rent. I understand costs are increasing, but not 8% across the board year after year. For folks on fixed incomes, this can be a problem.

My parents are going into their 2nd year living in Cypress Court. During certain health events, their nursing staff provided great support. Operations and service personnel are always helpful to me and my parents. Their restaurant personnel are always willing to help, but the food is average at best. I would have given them a 5 star, but their restaurant offerings need to improve.

My parents have been residents here for the past 2 1/2 years. Their apartment is extremely spacious and the other residents are very social and friendly. What sets this place apart is the staff. Always smiling and will go out of their way to be helpful. In particular the nursing staff is fantastic. Dustin heads up the staff. He makes sure that each and every resident is well-cared for. My parents have both had a few health issues and I am easily able to contact him. This is HUGE for me as I live out of state. I'm very grateful for the extremely fast responses to my queries. The nurses and aides are extremely caring and treat my parents with respect as well. Knowing that the staff is there for whatever they need is wonderful. I totally recommend Cypress Court due to the care my parents have received.

My 91 year old Mom moved into Cypress Court from Independent living. They made the transition smooth and the staff is wonderful. I live in Florida but I stayed with my Mom often they have a lot of activities and the food is really good. My Mom needed a lot of extra care and they were there for her at all hours. My Mom needed more than assisted living so we had to move her and they helped us with everything the maintenance manager even helped us take the TV off the wall.

Recently, my mom moved into Cypress Court “ it is truly a top-notch property, and I give it A+’s all the way across the board! It is clean, organized, and has a resort-like feel all throughout the facility. The environment is beautiful, and Cypress offers the residents a variety of fun activities and special eventsand the food is delicious! The staff are the most kind, genuine and compassionate people I have ever met, as well as being extremely professional, knowledgeable and incredibly service oriented. Employees go above and beyond to welcome everyone and see that residents and their family members are well taken care of. Cypress Court is such a wonderful place “ the whole staff cares and have amazing hearts “ and I appreciate everything that Cypress offers to make my mom feel welcome and comfortable. It is truly one of the best Independent and Assisted Living properties around the San Diego area!

Looking for a new facility for my father-in-law who is 95 and has some specific things we were looking for in a facility. Julie Myers from Cypress Court is amazing. We visited other facilities and did not get a good feeling, but with Julie she listen to our needs and was able to provide answers (which not all places could) - really guided us through the process. During the walk around of the facility, it was great seeing the residence playing cards or other games and how happy they all looked. The facility was clean, rooms were really nice and the remodeled rooms are beautiful. The bathroom was probably my favorite part as it was big enough to move around a wheel chair around, safety bars to hold in a number of places and had the low lip to get in and out of the shower. Things that would make his life easier. VERY IMPRESSED with Julie and the facility.

I had a wonderful visit with my mother Eleanor at Cypress Court. Julie Myers met us in the lobby with and we were escorted to her private office. Julie was excellent in her presentation of Cypress Court independent assisted living facility. She was very knowledgeable, personable, warm and very attentive to my mother’s needs. Julie answered every question in detail and she was very patient, caring and compassionate with my mother. She was also kind enough to give us a tour of Cypresd Court explaining where everything was located.and even a tour of an empty apartment. Aa we were walking through Cypress Court facility every employee we encountered greeted us with a smile and warm welcome. Several of the residents greeted Julie as we walked through the facility commenting to her Julie is the best! Having personally worked with various organizations through the years, I know authenticity and true genuineness. I can tell you that Julie is truly an amazing lady and she is a huge benefit for Cypress Court! We are exploring options for our mother and are not sure which avenue we will choose but I am certain that Cypress Court will be at the top of the list for not only the excellent facility it is but even more for the stellar people like Julie Myers who works there! Thank you for making a very difficult decision for our family more easy and assuring for us through your beautiful people and excellent facility!

My Grandfather spent the last year and half of his life at Cypress Court. It was such a great time for him. He left his home where he lived solo and moved into a community rich with interesting people and caring staff. He had his 'ninth life' here and truly thrived. Each community member welcomed him from day one. My grandfather ended up teaching art to his fellow residents and started a medication group. He made friendships with all the caregivers. One last memory is when the PADRES came and interviewed the residents who were big Padres fans and this was broadcast on TV, really special. This place changed my mind about retirement communities. I learned that everyone there was the 'same' he was no longer the person in the room who couldn't see, hear or walk well. Because of the effects of their age they were bound together with empathy and heart. They have an opportunity to be supported and able to live comfortably and be an active member at their age. I was afraid the place would smell or there would be rules that made it feel like nobody that worked there had independent ability to think. Neither was true. You really feel like there is compassion behind all the care. Meals are served restaurant style where they order food off the rotating menu and this aspect felt special. The community came together to eat and sit with friends to eat. If you wanted food brought to you for some reason that could also happen. There were caregivers when he was weak after a hospital visit and resources for me to consult with so I felt like I knew what he needed and how to provide him what he needed. Made everything less stressful and less overwhelming for me. The nurses helped me find a short-term support for safety when he was first out of the hospital and we were afraid he'd fall. If he needed help with showers someone was a call away. This was all provided at a reasonable price. He did not have a large nest egg to rely on and social security was his main income. Be careful you'll fall in love with the residents and staff.

I looked at 5 different assisted living places before selecting Cypress Court as a place for my Mom to move to after having a fall and then a stroke. I have found the staff to be helpful and friendly to the residents and residents family members. The activities are well thought out and plentiful. The food is fine with a good variety during meal time and in between. The courtyard is beautiful and the wellness center (workout room) has really nice equipment, the best of any place I visited. From the care takers to the medtech staff it feels like they really care for the residents and go out of their way to make them feel at home. The management staff (Julie, Deeanna, Pam) have all been amazing and super helpful. I also judge a place by looking at and engaging with the residents. They all appeared bright and shiny to me. Happy people who feel at home at Cypress Court. Check it out, I think you will find it to be a warm and welcoming place.

We spent weeks looking for an Independent/Assisted Living facility for mom. Cypress Court shot to the top of the list due to several factors. It is an older facility, BUT it makes up for it with being clean, well maintained, and implementing ongoing improvements for the safety and health of the residents. One major factor that impressed mom and family was the staff...they are incredible. Cypress Court has created a team that provides extraordinary, efficient support for the residents and their families. Every staff member from the dining room, housekeeping, maintenance, and front office do their best to create a homey, caring place for seniors. The front office staff and all that work here are caring, fun loving folks who obviously love their work, and make a great first impression for anyone visiting family. This place is highly recommended!!!!

From the moment she met Pam, the community relations coordinator, and Deanna, the staff nurse, my mom felt cared for and respected. I am especially grateful for Pam’s above and beyond efforts to help my mom get into Cypress Court. Pam has helped my mom feel comfortable and safe about this big transition in her life. Also, the residents and staff are all so friendly, many of whom have lived/worked there for many, many years. I am so grateful that my mom will be able to live a full and fun life in this amazing community.

Visited Cypress Court last week. I was able to meet many of the staff members and they were very kind. I loved that I can feel how much they really care about their residents. The apartments were clean, cozy, and there are plenty of accommodations for residents to enjoy. I highly recommend that you go take tour and see for yourself!

My Dad moved here seven months ago. Everyone is friendly, the amenities good (trips, shuttle service, library, beautiful courtyard, etc.) and the restaurant offers a nice variety and pleasant surroundings. Dad's apartment is nice, and the cleaning and weekly linen service help out. A good value and a nice, clean place.

My grandmother is satisfied living there. She seems to like most of her fellow residents. Her apartment faces one of the big streets, so it's noisy sometimes but not during sleeping hours. The regular meals are decent but nothing special. I do enjoy visiting on holidays when they have special food offerings. I believe my grandmother pays extra for her guests' meals; I guess these kinds of places charge extra for lots of things.
