I scheduled and attended a tour here with Tammy and it was such an amazing, smooth, and comfortable experience. Searching and transitioning a loved one into assisted living is not easy, it can very scary and overwhelming. I’ve toured a few facilities with high recommendations, but they did not compare to Ivy Park. Pulling up to the parking lot, we even have a reserved parking spot as well as welcome signs for our tour. When I first walked in, the space felt very inviting and welcoming. The staff at the front desk were very kind. The tour was very detailed and Tammy was very thorough. There were quite a few highlights I noted. One being, Tammy pulling staff of every kind to speak with my family and I. Not only were we introduced to staff personally, but she also knew the names of every single resident. The residents were also so eager to speak with us as well about how they’ve enjoyed living there. I took note of the layout and space and found comfort in being able to navigate the the building. Tammy discussed safety and support of their residents was ultimately very transparent when answering my questions. She has an answer for every single question my family and I had. I enjoyed seeing the inclusion amongst everyone living there, the community as I didn’t see a person sitting alone and many residents were out and about, not in their rooms. I also enjoyed the activities offered because they were structured, yet allowed residents to have autonomy through options. It felt very voice and choice and it felt like the wants and needs of the senior community were taken into account. The amount of staff I saw walking around and assisting residents also put me at ease. Every time I looked around, there was always a staff member insight. The units themselves are also beautiful and they felt like apartments/homes rather than a facility. The location itself felt quiet safe and Tammy even explained safety protocols that are in put in place. I have a few family members living there currently and I’d definitely recommend Ivy Park Otay Ranch.

I’m writing to share our heartfelt thanks for the care my mother has received over the last three months. Following the loss of my father and my mother’s recent surgery, your team has been a true blessing in making this transition so much smoother for our family. So many of your staff have become like family to us. We’re grateful to Jamie for giving us the tour, and we always look forward to seeing the smiling faces of Hector and Thelma at the front desk. Jane, Marisa, and Mirum, in the dining area are simply amazing and so helpful, while Maritza brings so much joy to the activities. We’ve truly enjoyed the entertainment. Danny is always there with a helping hand whenever it’s needed. Thank you all for the warm greetings and support that brighten our days. We truly appreciate everything that has been done for our Mom, and it helps to know she is safe and being cared for.

It’s given our family so much peace of mind knowing she’s in such a caring and well managed environment. Recently, my aunt was placed on home health services based on their recommendation, and it has truly made a positive difference in her overall well being. We’re so grateful for the staff’s guidance and dedication to making sure she gets the best care possible. A special thank you to Janelle, who goes above and beyond every single morning. She is so kind, patient, and attentive, always making sure my aunt is comfortable, cared for, and ready to start her day. It’s such a great feeling to see her up early, happy, and well taken care of. Thank you so much to Tammy and all of the staff at Ivy Park for making the transition for my mother as smooth as it could possibly be. As a very independent woman who lived in the same home for 55 years, transitioning to a new environment and admitting to needing assistance was not easy. But with a wife who was 36 weeks pregnant and a mom being discharged from the hospital, I knew I wouldn’t be able to provide a safe place for my mom and the attention that she needs. The facility has done everything possible to make my mother and myself as comfortable as possible with this unfortunate reality “ and in record speed (1 week from tour to move in). Tammy prepared a thoughtful welcome gift for my mother and even ensured there was a Filipino welcome party so that she could begin making friends from day 1. She helped with getting a moving company, with a team that was not only able to do this last minute, but even helped with building the bed frame and box spring. The moving company organized by Tammy, Caring Transitions, also understood how stressful this was and provided a friendly and caring level of assistance. It started out very bumpy and I was honestly questioning if this was the right decision. Being a Filipino son, there was a lot of guilt with putting my mom in a home." But after only one week my mom has already started making friends, eating meals with other residents, is exercising, expressing interest in activities, and has stopped saying she wants to go home. My brother, who only days ago was saying mom deserves to be in her home visited and saw how good it was for mom to be somewhere where she could receive assistance with her health needs (which will only get more complicated over time) and have a level of companionship we just aren’t prepared to provide. Truly, mom deserves to be safe, cared for, and stress-free “ which is what she’s getting at Ivy Park. Thank you again for helping our family.

Found this place for my father and could not have made a better choice! I had been searching locations for a few weeks before finally connecting with Tammy Atkins at Ivy Park. From the very first conversation with her, I knew this was the right place. She's beyond sweet, understanding and helpful. When I toured and met other staff, everyone was so kind and engaging as well. Stacey, the facility director, is fantastic. He's been here for roughly 2 months now, and I couldn't be happier knowing he's safe and surrounded by people who care for him on a daily basis. He has told me a number of times that he is as happy as I am. His quality of life has increased exponentially.

From the moment I stepped into the bright, beautiful, lobby and was greeted by the receptionist, I knew that this place was head and shoulders above the other assisted living facilities that I had visited. The dining room is lovely and the food excellent. The two rooms/apartments that I toured were spacious and in pristine condition. Jaime Reynosa, the Marketing Director, made the process of touring and learning about care plans, the facilities and staff at Ivy Park Otay Lakes a great experience. Choosing and Placing an elderly parent in Assisted Living is a difficult and often overwhelming task but Jaime’s knowledge, genuine concern for my dad was amazing and made the process easy on all of us. He was always available to take my questions after the initial tour and truly went above and beyond the call of duty in making this process and experience easy and comfortable for my whole family.

I want to let you know how incredible the food is here at Ivy Park at Otay Ranch. We have been here for 1 1/2 years and food choices are getting more diverse and surprising in the combination of flavors and smells. Just this past week, the turkey burgers with brie cheese and cranberry compote topped off with sweet potato fries was fantastic. The roasted pear salad was to die for, the various tastes and textures. The shrimp quesadilla today was exceptional. You think that the food can't get any better and the chef and cooks surprise us with another scrumptious meal. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

If any issues arise, I do not hesitate to reach out to Angie, the Executive Director, and she always responds within just minutes with a workable solution. It is very comforting to know that Angie is so in tune and connected with the staff in resolving issues. The rest of the staff is also amazing and incredibly helpful on a daily basis, from the Reception team, to the devoted Care Givers and Med Techs. During an incredibly challenging time of our lives, I truly feel we receive wonderful service from the Ivy staff.

My father has been a resident at Ivy Park since October. He has a perfect studio apartment for his needs. We were lucky to have him there when Angela became the new Director around November. She has made a lot of changes for the better of the residents. Lydia & Victor are amazing as the Activities Director and Victor is so awesome as the Bus Driver and bartender for all the fun parties for the residents. The food in the dining area gives quite a few choices for the picky eaters like my dad. With all the issues from the pandemic the caregivers, waiters and waitresses scramble to do their best to keep residents happy. We are so lucky to have found Ivy Park for my Dad. Keep up the hard work Angela and staff! We are so grateful!
