The facilities are of course in a prime location where she can access everything imaginable including the best shops, doctors, library, museums. But I feel like its incredible and responsive staff is what truly puts Sunrise over the top. My mom has been living here for a while now, and overall we’ve had a really good experience. Moving a parent into assisted living is never an easy decision, but the staff has made the transition feel much more comfortable for both of us. They are kind, patient, and genuinely seem to care about the residents as individuals, which has meant a lot to our family. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained, and there are plenty of activities to keep residents engaged. My mom especially enjoys the social events and has been able to make some new friends, which has been so important for her well-being. What stands out most is the level of compassion we’ve seen from many of the caregivers. Knowing my mom is in a safe, supportive environment gives me real peace of mind. I would recommend this community to anyone looking for a caring place for a loved one.

Sunrise in Beverly Hills is an amazing place for your loved one. We have been there before twice with my Mom for a short respite stays. We ended up moving her full time to the Valley however, to be near my brother and her doctors- but let me just say this facility is super clean, smells good, and everyone is a pro there. Can't say enough about Cindy and her team. She really cares quite a bit and is transparent about everything. Less like a sales person and more like a team member trying to do the best job possible for a very difficult situation that families have to go through. I highly recommend this Sunrise in BH for any of your family members should they need assisted living or memory care.

Updating because this facility cannot offer assistance with cognitive impaired loved ones. Special reminders or assistance with computer logins, cell phone usage or other cognitive challenges don't fit within the description of ADLs for you to utilize the caregiving staff. There are also no programs specifically targeted to help maintain cognition for those with dementia/alzheimers who are not ready for memory care. I chose Sunrise in Beverly Hills because I looked at quite a few communities in Los Angeles and near my mother's home in Illinois and this was the first place that felt like a community. The staff is more than pleasant and always smiling and cheerful. The residents all say "hi" and the dining room is filled with chatty diners. My mother had to make a big transition across country to an unfamiliar place and the staff bent over backwards to welcome her and ensure that she met the right people and got involved with the community. My mother loved her renovated assisted living apartment immediately and she is very comfortable there with her chosen belongings. Beth does an amazing job with the activities, providing a variety of exercise classes and mental stimulation. My mother has dementia and both of these types of activities were important to me and her to have for her continued journey to maintain brain wellness. The location for exploring the outdoors is perfect with a grocery store, hardware store, drug store, and dry cleaner/tailor all on the same block. There is also a farmers market down the street next to the police station. The nursing staff does an excellent job of medication management and tending to the incidentals. This is the only place I had visited where the staff is part of the community, maybe because of its smaller size, but other places I visited I noticed I didn't see much (if any) staff. Everyone knows mom's and my names and are so accommodating. I also checked out the memory care should mom need more care, and it is lovely, looks just like the assisted living. I will say, our experience is enhanced because I can visit with mom and take her out because she lives close to me. It's definitely a place worth checking out if you are looking.

Cindy Ismailyan especially has been incredibly helpful in expediting my mother’s move in, being available any time I call or email with questions, and helping us find furniture last minute. The place is beautiful, the staff is attentive and really cares about the residents, and they have been extremely accommodating. I have to give a big shout out to the care team of the 4th floor. This is a full memory care floor, so the staff has to work doubly as hard, because the lack of communication from a lot of the residents. But I have to say, the floor could use more caregivers. Most of the residents need 2 caregiver assist. So if 2 members are removed to help a resident for 15 minutes, that leaves a deficit on the floor for the other residents. Also, although there is a kitchen on the floor, there are no condiments or soft drinks that exist! So if a resident wants ketchup or a Coke, a caregiver has to leave the floor to head downstairs to ask for it from the chef. This is unnecessary. Once again not utilizing resources in the best manner possible. The caregivers are incredibly patient with their residents in what are sometimes very stressful situations. I just hope Sunrise realizes this staff is great, but could use some more help.

My wife and I had an experience with her parents M and M and two of the staff in Sunrise of Beverly Hills that warrants an outstanding review. Cindy and Anush, mobilized our parents, age 88 and 93, to go into the dining room despite their hesitation. These two staff member's energy and enthusiasm shifted our parents from exhaustion to connection and joy. Sunrise Senior Living Beverly Hills is a top notch Senior Living Residential Living Community. Their staff is so attentive to all of the residents, whether they are independent and can attend to their own needs without anssistance; if they need a bit of support from staff, or, if they need total care and support. My boyfriends mom has been a resident at this facility for a few years now and i still remember the day we moved her in. I never left a review then because i assumed the staffs friendliness and excellent customer service was just because it was our first day and they had to be that nice and welcoming. But i have to say its been consistently this way each time i have visited. I dont go see my bfs mom as often as my bf goes but when i do go i always feel like they go above and beyond for their residents. Anytime ive been there everyone has a smile on their face and the managers will always come say hi and see if we need anything even though we have been coming forever and know our way around. Everyone is always patient and pleasant and never seems annoyed like i have heard from friends and family who have experienced other facilities. Its always super clean when we visit and the restrooms are spotless- i feel like thats a good indicator of general upkeep. The bathrooms always seem like they have just been cleaned. Overall my bf has been really happy with how his mom is being cared for and doesnt feel guilty that he had to move her into a home. She genuinely feels happy here and it makes it easier on us to know she is going to enjoy her last years in this facility. 10/10

We landed at Sunrise Beverly Hills after several other experiences and are glad we did. Although it is pricey, I wouldn't change locations because they care like family for my mom, communicate well, prepare foods like a gourmet restaurant and allow us to have our own private caregivers 24/7 due to mom's blindness and dementia. The intake sales team are warm and professional, and avail themselves to assist with move in and settling in. The floor care team are affectionate and professional, the Executive Director is charming and attentive to all requests and offers options to continue to satisfy my mom who is a challenge and the Wellness staff is ready and willing to do what ever it takes to manage meds and respond to advancing care needs with a great respect for privacy. All around, very pleased and highly recommend; nothing is perfect, but I feel my mom gets the best care possible outside of her home which became unsafe for her to remain in. I am guilt free having her live at Sunrise.

My mother had an excellent overall experience with Sunrise during several years of residency. Staff were generally caring and responsive. It's a comfortable facility, which feels almost like a luxury hotel. There is a broad range of programming suited to different interests and physical/cognitive capabilities. During our mother's unfortunate decline, we got to see how Sunrise operated as she needed more and more care. (She was lucky also to have extensive assistance from personal aides not provided by Sunrise throughout most of her time there.) Initially in the Assisted Living unit, Mom was able to take advantage of greater freedom and programs like concerts, movies, and discussion groups. Staff, led by caring manager Sam, were very responsive at working with the family to support Mom and balance her needs for safety and independence. As her cognitive state declined, she needed to move into the Memory Care (Reminiscence) unit, a more self-contained unit with more staff per resident. Manager Nancy worked hard to see that Mom got good care tailored to her needs, and she was very responsive to family concerns. The building has a convenient location and nice facilities, including a dining room, lounge, and movie theater, and not surprisingly it's quite expensive. Maintenance and cleaning of individual rooms was not always ideal, but staff usually responded to family reports of concerns. The nursing staff did a very strong job overall of supporting Mom's medical care. It's not a nursing home, and during evenings and weekends nursing staffing was limited, with no nurse at all for long periods.

Our family is very grateful and appreciative that Sunrise of Beverly Hills was available for our wife and mother. Her early Alzheimer's condition reached a state where things declined so rapidly that we were caught by surprise. In a matter of a few weeks, we had to rush to acquaint ourselves with six memory care facilities in our area. Overall, we saw some fine memory care homes and met some wonderful people, but Sunrise turned out to be the one that checked all the boxes Sunrise was the safety net that caught us at our most difficult time. Once at Sunrise, our situation became instantly more manageable. The staff, particularly General Manager Jason and Medical Director Laurie, made the transition from home care to Memory Care seamless, leaving our family to deal with the emotional challenges and navigate some very difficult decisions. Sunrise has proven to be the right choice for us. The management and care staff have quickly become like extended family in very short order. They have earned our confidence that the most important person in our world is receiving the most thoughtful care. Located where it is in Beverly Hills, you would expect the facilities to be exceptional, but a facility like this is more about the people who choose to do this difficult work. It’s important to emphasize that at Sunrise, the staff is caring but also medically attentive and professional. While the most important consideration is that Sunrise is the right home for our wife/mother, it has also been a pleasure for our family. In our case, Alzheimer’s has befallen us at a time in our lives where we are still a close-knit family with the need to stay connected and visit frequently. Our individual room is uplifting. The outdoor patios and common areas are pleasant and well-furnished for spending quality time. We are sure that the luxury hotel-like staff and atmosphere of Sunrise has a very positive influence on our mood when we visit, which in turn, sets the tone for spending precious time with our wife and mother.

While I tried to make an informed decision, it was really closing your eyes and throwing darts at the a dartboard. Fortunately, we hit a bullseye. The executive director Jason Malone and sales director Nikeey Bakshi from the Beverly Hills location are unethical and extremely aggressive in their practices. During my time there as a concierge, as a test, Jason and Nikeey called the main line where Jason poorly disguised his voice as a southern woman looking for a home for their mother. We are instructed to place the client on hold and find a department lead or director to take these calls. As per usual, no one was available or wanted to take the call. Unfortunately, Jason and Nikeey were on hold for longer than the normal wait time, instead of questioning why his team was so hard to reach for a "critical" call, Jason and Nikeey wrote me up for this. Nikeey also tried to write me up for a few other things but when I pressed her for detailed accounts, they usually fell through the crack so she couldn't "pin" anything on me. I ended up transferring out of this facility to work at a different one and it became a much more pleasant work environment. I've never forgotten how disgusting Jason Malone and Nikeey Bakshi's behavior towards me was, their treatment of me during my time at Beverly Hills has affected me and how I choose where I apply for work. I do not recommend anyone to apply for this company, the work is difficult and the pay doesn't match the required licensing and schooling it takes to obtain a job here. I would not trust placing my loved ones at this facility as

My mom enjoyed flower arranging, pet visits, scenic rides, etc. She had dementia, which progressed quickly and during Covid, when her family was no longer able to visit her, they moved her up to the Reminiscence floor, where she received much more memory care and a lot of attention from the small staff that she easily befriended and was comfortably familiar with. They took excellent care of her and made sure to supervise frequent family FaceTime calls and eventually socially distanced outdoor visits, so mom wouldn't feel too isolated. It was a difficult time for all of us, but Sunrise BH made it much easier, giving us the peace of mind that our mother was seen and cared for in a very kind, loving environment, that she was safe and her needs were met. So many of the staff deserve kudos, but I especially appreciate Reminiscence director, Aurora and Laurie the Head of nursing staff. Jason runs a wonderfully tight ship with a friendly, happy atmosphere.
