Sherwood Village deserves every bit of my 5-star rating. Not because everything is perfect, but because of the way they conduct their business. The true measure of customer service commitment can only really be seen when things don’t go according to plan. We moved my father-in-law (Papa) late June ’26. The transition for him was seamless, but his room wasn’t ready when it was supposed to be. When I emailed Ms. Jennie Fay, the Marketing Director, late that Saturday night to let her know what happened, I didn’t expect to hear from her until Monday, when normal business hours had resumed. But she got back to me right away. She adjusted things on their end to make up for the loss of time, allowing us to move Papa in before admission. When he showed up, his apartment was ready, fully moved in feeling as much like home as possible. Sherwood Village has dedicated employees that have worked there for ten years or more. The fact that they hold on to good people and promote from within their own facility is a testament to the quality of the work environment. Happy employees simply do better at their jobs “ which means better, more stable care for their residents than a place with high turnover. The fact that they take both private pay and state assistance residents means that Papa will not have to move, even if he needs to go on state aide. That’s huge both for his mental and physical stability as he ages, and for us “ saving us the worry and time of having to find him somewhere else to live and moving him all over again.

There is so much good to say about Sherwood. I was given a short time to move my sister to Memory Care. I saw several other facilities. Some would not allow personal furniture. Some were cavernous or over stimulating. Some were closed off like a person warehouse. Sherwood was nothing like the others. Sherwood allowed her own furniture and provided the rest as needed. Communication with caregivers was absolutely excellent and it is easy to see that they love their residents!

My mother lives there now. The staff is very friendly and takes great care of her. She really likes the way they talk to her and help her with anything she needs. I also enjoy talking to them, they answer any questions that come up or find someone who can. It is great to see Mom visiting with her new friends.

I was impressed at how proactive they have been at recognizing and providing the structure he needs to help him live his best life. I would take the culture here over a fancy facility any day.

I had originally visited a year ago and when it came time to move mom, Jennie remebered me and treated us like family. Jennie has great communication. She cares about your needs and your emotions. The staff at Sherwood are awesome too! I am greeted with friendly smiles. They are taking good care of my mom and keep me updated on her health concerns. I recommend Sherwood Village.

Sherwood Village is a new part in my family's life and our initial experience has been wonderful. Staff in every dept has been so friendly and they go overboard to make their guests feel at home and taken care of. I was referred to Jenny Fey, Director of Admissions at Sherwood 6 months ago. She has been with us on our journey since then. She listened to all our questions and concerns and went way over the top to give an opportunity for my mom that I didnt know could exist. I am so appreciative to have mom safe and cared for as I can take a break from solo caregiving. Thank you so much!!

My mom lived here for almost 4 years. The staff is fantastic and treated her like family. The facility is clean and well cared for and the rooms are very large and cost is reasonable (they also take ALTCCS). They have one bedroom units which was perfect for my mom and dad when dad was alive, and when he died my mom kept the same room. They allow scooters which my parents both used when they arrived. I would recommend Sherwood Village to anyone looking for assisted living or Memory Care. THANK YOU to the leadership and staff at Sherwood for all your loving support.

I am so blessed that these wonderful people are taking amazing care of my mom. I recommend them to anyone looking for a caring place to take their loved ones. My mom has been here for about 3 years now. My mom is happy here. Keep up the good work. Thank you for your loving care to my mom. My mom is a pickle, and all staff is taking wonderful care of her. My mom has warmed up to the staff and takes about them all the time. The is an update since I last posted. On Memorial Day my mom past. These wonderful people were there for me and my brother. I'm not sure how to pay it forward with them but we are so grateful for the love and care that they showed her. She will be missed by so many. They had such great stories to share. I know it's not a fancy place but what it offers out ways glamour. They have such big hearts. We love all that have had a hand in taking care of our prickly mother. She loved you all. I am a care professional that visits Sherwood Village and the residents frequently. Sherwood Village is a very caring place. They go above and beyond for residents. The place is clean, smells good and is bright and cheery. The many residents I have spoken to really enjoy living there. They have activities available and take people out for outings. I highly recommend Sherwood Village and I would place a loved on there, or even live there myself! If I could give ten stars, I would.

My 87 year-old Mom could not be happier! Staff have come and gone since she made this her home. But the warmth, caring and love she has experienced continues. Our family is deeply grateful for the many ways our Mom feels at home. While the devoted staff truly make Sherwood Village special, we are also grateful for continued upgrades, enhancements and on-going attention to vital maintenance. Choosing a special home for our Mom was hard. After reviewing 18 places and visiting 7- we are all deeply grateful Mom chose Sherwood Village as her home. Medical care, medication delivery, housekeeping, laundry, and food (challenging for 140 residents and, understandably, not always consistent) the service and care has been superb. The challenges of COVID were handled with professional attention and concern for residents and staff. The Man in charge of Sue's Ward, as well as 1 more Ward, is Patrick, He is Totally Fantastic, & I would give him 5 Stars, if that was permitted. I have suggested the enclosed area outdoors be expanded, so everyone has A happier life.

Initially I was hesitant considering Sherwood Village as an assisted living option for my friend, but with the endorsement of a health professional treating my friend, we went to "check it out." At the conclusion of the tour Jenny lead us on, it felt like home and my reluctant friend was willing to make the big transition from independent to assisted living. Throughout the process of touring, procuring a room, moving in, being a resident, and moving out, the staff has been consistently friendly and extremely helpful. Happy, helpful, caring staff are key and Sherwood has them in spades!

With all the horror stories and rumors of horrible treatment to people's loved one's, I was very hesitant to put my mother in anyone's care but my own...After struggling with my wife to try and manage work, kids, my mother, as well as life in general, I came across Sherwood Village Assisted Living. We went to check the place out and right from the beginning we were showered with kindness and true hospitality. I knew from the get go that this was the place for my mother..... A year later, my mother is flourishing there. Bright eyed and happy as all can be everytime we pop in. Jennie Fay is most magnificent. Just so kind and caring. As is the rest of the staff there. My mom's favorites besides Jennie are Russell and Jaime. But honestly, we think the whole staff is great and a very well ran facility with true care givers and love throughout the place. Thank you Sherwood Village.

I have had nothing but pleasant experiences here. I helped a friend move in. It's over a year now and I visit on a weekly basis sometimes twice a week. Every staff have been pleasant, helpful and accommodating. Jenny is extremely nice and always willing to go the extra mile for people. Russell has always been available when needed and has a lot of respect. Medical are patient and listen to people's needs. They and staff engage with the members and seem to know them well. Nurse Jaime is silly and funny. The community there is enjoyable because of management and supporting staff working to assist and help their people. I strongly encourage others to come take a tour as an option for quality living.

My MIL is a resident in Memory Care. Transitioning her from her home of 80+ years to Sherwood Village was THE BEST DECISION for her health and well being -- and our peace of mind!! Momma Flin is THRIVING in their care. The administrative / office staff was so kind and helpful navigating the initial process for us from the home visit to her move in. Months later, they are always available and helpful and keep us updated . The Caregivers are AMAZING -- kind, engaging and so patient dealing with the day to day challenges of dementia care! Mom is happy and happy. They have had live entertainment on the unit (after lunch) including a musician and Gospel singer, a keyboard musician and his therapy dog, and even a miniature pony! The facility is very clean, bright and welcoming for residents and visitors. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My father stayed here for almost 5 years. The current management is wonderful with Patti as head nurse. She bends over backwards to care for the residents. I specified current management because there were some really sparse years when they couldn't keep a nurse for more than 6 months and the care really suffered. The facility is being updated and looking better. The rooms are larger than most providing a lot of value for your money.

I just noticed a bad review for Sherwood for a legal issue. Seems odd to me that someone would think it a bad thing that Sherwood would protect the rights of their residents. Sherwood staff are a great bunch of people. They are a family, not just employees. Years back I placed my 90 year old grandmother there and she lived to be 100. She loved it there and thrived. The staff cared for her like family, even sitting by her side at the end. We are now moving my father-in-law into Sherwood. I am excited for him to be more active and create new relationships. On our last two visits residents and staff were very friendly and welcoming. They offer the amenities that the larger places do. We like that it is smaller and more cozy. For us the respect for a smoking resident was an issue at other places making them smoke in the parking lot or across the street. Not safe over there. Here at Sherwood they offer special areas for them to smoke. A much more respectful situation. The staff knows everyone's name. It's just the best place in Tucson when this care is needed!
