I wanted to write a positive review of this facility. I have been a podiatrist for 33 years. I have performed reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and have also been to many group homes and care facilities over the years. I moved to AZ about 8 years ago and began seeing patients in home who can not get out to go to a doctors office. In visiting hundreds of various homes and facilities I have seen many homes that are very dirty and the level of care needs serious revision. I have also been blessed to visit some homes that are clean and the level of care is top notch. This facility is one of those places. Not only is it clean, the level of care tops but they go out of their way to make the patients happy and truly care. I just left today and they had hired a full Mariachi Band and catered food for one of their patrons celebrating her birthday. It is a wonderful facility and one I would consider for my parents or myself one day if care was needed.

A Paradise for Parents was the absolute BEST place for my mother (82) who suffer a life altering stroke 5 years ago. When I moved her to Arizona 4 years ago, she lived in another assisted living community. While their set up and facility was nice, I didn’t get the sense that the staff truly cared for my mom. I moved her into A Paradise for Parents primarily because their home was 3 blocks away from my home and the atmosphere was so friendly and caring. She moved in just before the Covid-19 pandemic began. The staff took such great care of my mom. They met her needs for daily grooming, bathing, assisting with eating. Chris was my mom’s favorite care giver. He treated her with such dignity and respect, she grew to trust and love him so very much. They even brought in special meals for birthdays, holidays and special events. The owner, Hal was frequently present, visiting with residents, getting to know each one of them, where everyone felt like family. Hal hosted themed parties at the house, brought in musicians, hair stylists, actors dressed up for special occasions, he wanted residents to have fun in what is often the most difficult times for our loved ones. Aurora, the center director is so loving and kind. She always kept me abreast of changes in my mother’s health and needs. I only call out by name the staff I know by name, but every single staff member cared for my mother and the other residents with so much love and for that our family is eternally grateful. We moved my mother back home to Nebraska as the end of her life drew near to be closer to more family. I wish the team from A Paridise for Parents could have gone with her. The staff even called me shortly after her move to check in on her to see how she was doing and to let her know they missed her. I know my mother missed them too. If you are in need of a place for a loved one, you won’t go wrong with A Paradise for Parents.

Since moving into A Paradise for Parents she’s more alert, has more energy, sleeps and eats on a regular schedule, and engages with the staff. I have been coming to this home 3 days a week for several months now as a care companion to one of the residents. Every single member of the staff, notably, Elvis, Melanie, and Laura are some of the kindest, most genuine souls. They treat every resident with dignity and compassion. They are all truly great examples of the seven ethical principles of health professionals. Every resident, family member, hospice nurse, social worker, delivery driver, etc. is bound to encounter a warm house that feels like home, not a facility. The caregivers lovingly cherish each resident for their unique personality and never miss a chance to crack a joke with them. Paradise for Parents' care takers are always readily available and assist with dignity of the resident. The facility was always clean. The residents are always bathed. I go to group homes all over the valley as a NP. This is by far one of the best homes to work with. The staff is competent, genuine, and truly cares for their residents. Laura and Elvis are extremely friendly and know what they are doing. Meals are homecooked and they work w/the residents preferences to really make them feel at home. This is the second entry by me, but Dad passed recently. His life was joyfully extended by Laura, Elvis and others. Hospice said he might live another 2 months when he first became a resident, but he got healthier and more alert. If you want you parent or spouse to live the last few months or years in a healthy and happy place, you have found it here. First entry, Laura and Elvis do a great job. Dad was in memory care, he fell several times at a very nice facility, he was overmedicated, and there was no interaction with him.We took him out of the facility and place them into a paradise for parents. He has put on weight, he has not fallen, he is not overmedicated, and the staff and others interact with him. All I can say is, thank you very much.

This was the best place for my Mom to live after my Father passed away. When she arrived she was depressed, wasn't taking her medication regularly or eating. Leaving her the first night was so hard for my family but they reassured us that they "had this". Fast Foward a few days and my Mom was like a different woman. She was on a good schedule taking her medication, was enjoying eating her meals with her new friends and overall we saw such a great improvement!! I highly recommend A PARADISE FOR PARENTS. The staff is so caring and loving it was amazing to watch. The owner Hal was available for any questions or help we might need. After one visit my 30-year-old daughter announced she wants to live here...that is how pleasant this HOME is!!

(Part 2) Midge has adapted so incredibly well to this care home and we really have to just thank the staff and owner for all the fine details they see to each and every day. It is truly amazing! We still can't believe our mom has so graciously transitioned into this next phase of her life. In October we felt sad as we saw a decline in her mentation and physical abilities. She was weak and frail. By November, she was gaining strength and going for daily walks outside in the back yard ( had not wanted to do that when she lived alone...she was probably afraid ), eating breakfast every day ( only had orange juice when she lived alone, maybe a rare piece of toast ), participating in games at the home with visiting clergy ( she did not have interest in that when alone ). She really enjoys most meals at the home and if she does not care for something, she lets Laura or the staff know and they provide her with something she likes. We feel so blessed every night after talking to her and hearing her chat about all that went on during the day. She seems happier now than a year ago and that couldn't make us any more happy! Thank you Hal, for always checking in and taking the time to get to know your residents and for taking them on field trips! You are amazing! Thank you, Laura! You are the rock, the glue, the everything that makes Paradise so wonderful. You are a wonderful caregiver and soooo patient and giving. You always give your all, take constructive criticism from the residents and run with it, trying to make everyone happy. It does not go unnoticed all that you do. Thank You Elvis, the work horse, always busy and doing something. Moving furniture, caring for the residents, timing eye drops precisely. You rock! Thank you Chris, for your kindness and care. Taking care of Midge's crises in the middle of the night, taking the time to watch an episode of Jeopardy and enjoy it with the residents. You are awesome. Thank you Esmerelda, for all your kind and loving care with the residents, cooking away in the kitchen, being a calming presence for those who feel anxious. We love you and all you do! Keep doing what you are doing because you are awesome at it!

Praise for Paradise ( part 1 ) In October of 2019, we had to make the most difficult decision of our lives to date.....Our beloved, independent 91 year old mother could no longer safely live alone despite her feisty desire to live well into her 90's independently as her own mother had many years ago. Yes, she is blessed with genes of healthy longevity. We needed to find a way to make sure that she could have assistance 24/7 affordably. We explored the costs/benefits of her remaining in her home with hired live in help around the clock versus living with us with live in help, versus retirement homes, nursing homes, and assisted living group homes. We fortunately stumbled upon "A Paradise for Parents" on the internet. We arranged to meet Hal Cranmore, owner and the house manager Laura in the Banff Lane Paradise for Parents. Immediately upon entering the home, we realized this was not at all what we were expecting. It was as if you were walking into your own home or a neighbors home, warmly furnished and decorated, and an aroma of a wonderful home cooked meal being prepared in the kitchen. The home is also meticulously clean. Hal and Laura explained how the home operated, divulged details on transitions and difficulties associated with the transition and how they handle it as a team. We were introduced to the other staff and residents and it was very clear what a warm, personal and caring environment this was. We left with a feeling of hope, that this could be the right choice. We then toured other homes and facilities and knew that nothing compared to A Paradise for Parents. We then brought our mother "Midge" in for a tour to see what her thoughts were. Much to our surprise, she was immediately open to the idea of this being a possibility. After some talks and planning we decided to accept an upcoming vacancy in the home. We hoped and prayed that our "mudder", as we affectionately call her, would be able to adjust to this type of living. We also felt very reassured as the home is only a 5 minute drive away from us. We moved Midge into Paradise in late October. Hal and Laura were very accommodating in allowing us to bring in personal furniture such as a desk set, dresser, lounge chair and ottoman and arranged for a bigger bed to be delivered. The room she shares with another is a master bedroom and very spacious. There is also a couch in the room which is conducive for visiting. Every effort was made to make sure that this transition was welcoming and accommodating to her desires. Laura is an absolute angel!! She really takes the time to get to know each resident and makes each resident really feel like part of the Paradise family. There is even a sweet little dog named Bandit there who all the residents seem to adore. Laura and staff had an amazing Halloween party the week Midge moved in. All residents and staff were wearing some sort of costume or hat and the food provided for the residents and their families and outside health care workers was outstanding! I can not get over the amount of planning that goes into providing nutritious and delicious meals. A Thanksgiving feast followed ( although we had Mudder home with us, we hear it was fantastic ), and then a magnificent Christmas party with live entertainment and Santa himself ( Hal ) delivering gifts to all the residents. The residents also had their hair done the day prior thanks to Hal.

TESTIMONIAL Hal Cranmer, owner of A Paradise for Parent’s Senior Living reached out to Cross Church in Surprise. He wanted to involve his residents in Bible Study. Marilyn and I (Maggie) were more than happy. I wasn’t sure what to expect my first day there. I guess I expected a Nursing Home, with a desk and a receptionist and just a nursing home look. What I did come to find out was this was truly a home environment. They even have a dog. I felt like I was in my own home. Some of the residents were in their rooms, some watching TV. It was amazing. And Lara, she is also amazing, she is the caregiver. She definitely lives up to the name. Caregiver. She joins us in class and is always part of our group. They may ask her the same question 10 times, and all 10 times she will give them an answer. She definitely has a beautiful heart. I couldn’t not think of a better place for your mom or dad to be. Hands down the best community home in the area! It is ran by a great staff and an even more impressive manager. The manager, Laura is amazing! She is so hands on and cares so deeply about ALL of her residents. She takes great pride in her residents nutrition and exercise, in turn it makes for a very happy and functional home. I see nothing but smiling faces on the people inside, the way that the staff and Laura talk to residentshandle situations is very beautiful to watch. A Paradise for Parents Banff Ln is an outstanding facility, with dedicated staff and has my undying gratitude for the manner in which they cared for my wife. The environment was more like family then I could have expected. The Banff Ln home was always clean. I would say spotless. The food was very well prepared with efforts to individualize meals to the resident, and the leadership was responsive to any issues that might arise. I particularly commend Laura Medina. I am a hospice nurse, and I have had the privilege of caring for multiple patients at different times in this home. This truly is a remarkable home .The care is amazing and you can feel the love and warmth when you enter this home. I would without any hesitation put my love one in this is Beautiful ,warm ,loving , and caring home. It is very professional, but you don’t feel that because it is so family orientated. My father has been a resident for over two years and loves it here. The home is warm and inviting. The care givers are very attentive and the other residents are extremely nice. Hal and Cameron, the owners, go above and beyond to make sure that all the residents' needs are met. They plan special activities to keep the residents involved. They have even accompanied my father to doctor appointments and visited him in the hospital when he was ill.
