This place is wonderful except for the food. Meat is alway dry and can’t be cut with the knives they used. Also the vegetables - peas, peas, peas, then broccoli, lots of it in very large pieces which we have to cut up. Since the Covid outbreak the meals are sometimes inedible. It’s a shame that the chef can’t make good healthy meals except occasionally. It is ruing a wonderful place to live.

I have been living here since Sep 2021 and although expensive it is worth every cent! The staff is very friendly and truly interested in the residents. The meal servers are excellent and also interesting to watch. They march into the dinning hall before every meal and take food orders without using notes! The residents applaud them as they march in. They take as many as six to eight orders at a time without notes. Meals are served in the proper way which makes me feel I am in a high class Victorian restaurant. The activity director does the work of dozens of people …..ok maybe only two to three, but as a former supervisor, I don't recall having anyone work as hard and enjoy it. All meals and room cleaning is included in the price which makes my total outlay of funds less than when I lived in my home. I now no longer have to pay for utility bills, property taxes, food and other incidentals I had in my home. Residents have freedom of movement and enter and leave anytime of the day or night, if they have no serious handicaps. Visitors are also welcome to see their love ones and can even stay in the same rooms or rent a room in the facility, This includes eating with them in the cafeteria.

The community here is amazing and so so welcoming. They hold many events to bring you and your family together. Especially great if you have grandchildren.

Diana was great! She gave me a tour of two apartments and explained everything about the community. I secured an apartment and can't wait to move in. This is a great place and I would recommend it highly.

A pleasant three day visit with family. My cousin recently moved into Mountain View Gardens and we rented the guest suite for our visit. Very impressed with staff, facility and food services. The friendly and professional staff made our visit memorable.

Diana Fields was critical for my mothers decision making process when deciding to move to MVG. She was apprehensive with making the move until she met with Diana and after spending time and touring the facility with her, she was sold. Diana has made my mother feel like she belongs and at home at MVG and now calls her apartment her new mini house. None of this would of been possible without the caring attention from Diana and has made the transition to MVG painless. Our heart felt appreciation goes out to Diana and making my mother feel at home and part of the MVG family. Thank you.

My parents are moving into a beautiful two-bedroom two bathroom apartment with kitchenette in Mountain View Gardens. We couldn't be happier. The community and Diana, their marketing and move-in coordinator have done everything they can to make this a smooth transition, including picking my parents up for lunch and touring the community several times. Since we live very far away, Diana is coordinating all the aspects of their move including downsizing from their home. My parents can't wait to move in, especially my mother who will enjoy no longer having to grocery shop, plan and cook meals. The three meals per day will make us feel so much better that they are now getting the things they need to continue to live on their own. We love the amenities and the community is immaculate and very friendly!

From the very beginning with a private community tour and lunch through the introduction of services and contract signing all the way to move-in, the entire experience was 100% flawless. Dianna and Michelle, Sales and Activity Coordinators, along with the the entire staff have been truly caring, compassionate and professional. I am looking so forward to my sister's acclimation to enjoying her new lifestyle with her little dog. Endless accolades, Stop worrying and start enjoying life again.

My mother-in-law has resided in this retirement home for nearly ten years. My husband and I only live two miles distant from this facility and we visit often. We stay and occasionally eat meals with her at a very reasonable cost. Food is excellent and served with fresh vegetables and fruits. Several choices on the menu for each meal - served three times a day. In addition they have a coffee service bar available daily with continental breakfast items if you prefer. They have an activities director that schedules and coordinates daily activities for the residents. Shuttle service is provided week days for shopping and appointments. Mom no longer drives her own car. We assist her in paying for her rental fees and are happy with the yearly cost compared to other facilities in the area. My husband and I both recommend this retirement home and are fortunate that we could find one that met our requirements so close by to our residence. Highly recommend this facility.

My experience at Mountain View Gardens is a delightful one daily.. The management is absolutely outstanding who not only take care of their responsibilities involved within their management positions but also are happy, friendly and know every resident by name. There is humor involved as well which always brings a smile to our faces...Management goes above and beyond any and all expectations which I couldnt be happier with. Retirement living here is remarkable with so many choices of activities, events, classes, creativity which we have a choice of becoming involved in. All are exciting and fun. Theres activities one can do on their own or as a group with the availability of spacious activity rooms. Just to name a few there is a gym, library, game room, activity room and list is endless. With our gourmet chef theres always an variety of delectable meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner served in a lovely formal dining room in courses which can make you feel like youre dining at a five star restaurant... We also have casual food, snacks , ice cream machine, home made cookies, muffins, coffee and tea area available 24, 7. Our apartments are spacious and when you go out you feel like your coming home. One has a choice of various apartments that will fit your needs which are quite lovely, fresh, and wholly impeccable.... I love it here and look forward to spending my golden years at Mountain View Gardens Gracious Retirement Living and encourage all who are considering retirement living and living in luxury to making Mountain View Gardens Gracious Retirement Living ... their new home....

Consistently outstanding care has been given to my mother during her stay, now in its second year, at Mountain View Gardens. She and I are very pleased with management, the community and the facilities. Five stars well deserved. Thank you to MVG.

Moved my parents in a month ago and the staff has been nothing but the best to my parents and my family. Myself and my wife are treated like their family as well as Mom and Dad. Mom and Dad are very happy there. Jerry, Michelle and Diana are the best. If your parents are looking for independent living, look no further than Mt View Gardens.

The staff is wonderful! The beds and seating are really uncomfortable. It feels like youre sitting on wires. The good is unique and could be made easier to swallow and there needs to be more fresh veggies.

My mother is now 102 years old and has now been living here for almost ten years. I visit her every day, usually in the morning. She absolutely loves this facility. Staff are extremely competant and caring folks. We are very fortunate to have this facility nearby.

We visit our former elderly neighbor frequently here. It is an extremely nice facility. Staff is awesome. They know the residents, care about them, even check on them. Our dear friend is treated very well here. Out of town relatives can stay on site(with a reservation, reasonable cost). Food is excellent. Meals can be delivered to rooms. Transportation is provided for shopping and appts. Numerous activities and trips. Pets permitted. Has a nice pool, laundry facilities. My only issue is that there is only one tiny elevator(this place is 3 stories), no service elevator either. How it got passed when they built it I dont know. Our friend is on the first floor so it isnt an issue anymore like it was when she was on the 3rd floor...but still concerning. Maintenance guy is wonderful, so are Jerry and his staff. Very nice place.

Very nice place!

My father loved Mountain View Gardens for the two years he lived there! He finally required more care than outside home health agencies could give and I moved him to assisted living, but he asked me daily to move him back to Mountain View Gardens. I was always impressed with the cleanliness and elegance of the grounds and furnishings, with the chef-prepared food choices, and with the helpfulness and friendliness of the managers and the entire staff. The atmosphere at Mountain View Gardens is far different from an assisted living or nursing facility. Described as gracious independent living, the residents are at a mental and physical level where they are still very interested in meaningful social interaction, especially helping one another and making newcomers feel at home. They appear in the public areas well-dressed and groomed (most of the ladies with nice outfits, coiffed hair and jewelry), and there is always a lively buzz of conversation in the dining room. The activity director is wonderful and works hard to make things varied and interesting. Even the driver of their free bus service plays the guitar and sings for them with great talent in between times of other music group performances. I told people it was like my dad was living on a cruise ship.....
February 2018
Awesome place for plants. A little more expensive than other places but better selection than big box. Comparable to Ace in price and diversity. Great staff. Owners are really nice. The kids like watching the koi while I look at plants. If you are looking for koi they have a huge selection as well as water plants.
January 2018
I lived in an apartment at Mt.View Gardens for 2 years. As a 60 year old I was out of place. Most of th clientele was between 110 and 20 years older . When I first arrived most of the residents were mobile and active. In the past few years the residents have progressively become more of the assisted living type, meaning that even with meals and maids they needed more assistance. Many if the newer residents needed memory care and help with activities of daily living. Many were no longer able to get around without a power chair. Many were unable to use the stairs at all.

Excellent retirement living, spacious, clean and great food. Great staff!
