I want to share how amazing everyone at Highgate Memory Care are. My mom has improved so much since moving there. Everyone has shown caring and compassion to every resident. They take the extra moments to give each resident the kind of respectful attention and interaction to improve their day in a very personal way. No two residents are treated the same. The staff all learn the way each one receives kindness and compassion and that is what they give them. The transition is never easy, but in a short time they all became treasured friends. Mom is now living the best life possible. Thank you all for letting her have a full joy filled life again. If someone you love needs Memory Care, I strongly recommend Highgate Senior Living in Prescott AZ, they become family and care so much for both their residents and helping the family to adjust. The entire care team is there because they love to care for those who can't care for themselves (not just a paycheck).

My mother-in-law was a resident at Highgate Cottage for about 6 years. She had progressed in her dementia to a point where she needed constant care. She was living with assistance in a different facility in Sun Lakes, but had been found wandering. It was clear that we needed to find a safe place in a memory care capacity. After getting her admitted and settled we were able to feel confident that she would be treated with kindness, respect, and gentleness. I am unable to recall a time I felt she wasn't well cared for. Every resident enjoyed being where people understood the challenges of living with a progressive disease like dementia and Alzheimer's. No matter the issue we knew it would be addressed appropriately and professionally. My husband called his mother daily and was always greeted with good information when indicated. We live in Prescott, Arizona so we were able to visit her frequently. The staff is attentive and fun. There is quality food, plenty of things to do or enjoy, special activities designed to engage socially, physically, and creatively. There are very frequent bus rides for the residents. They enjoy touring the town. Especially when there are Christmas lights on display. The outdoor courtyard was a favorite place to visit and enjoy some sunshine. Arranging for an outing or an appointment was easy. They always seemed to have her ready to go. Highgate was not the first place we were able to visit but it was by far the obvious choice. As soon as we entered the Cottage, we were greeted by genuine kindness and an overall sense of ease. It felt like a warm hug. Isabel and her staff are exceptional people who do exceptionally difficult work. When disease progresses and end of life is near, there is no better place than the Cottage at Highgate. If you are looking for quality memory care for your loved one, this is an excellent choice.

My mom and cousin are both in residence at the Cottage at Highgate in Prescott. The care at this home away from home is amazing! Every staff member has a smile and a gentle way with each patient and visitor. Each caregiver knows the individual needs of their patients. You have to be a special person to attend to the needs of people with dementia. The Cottage has hired some of the best! Isabelle, the director, keeps family well informed. She offers support and assistance as we navigate the many levels of dementia.

It was a stressful time to try to find an Assisted Living Community apartment for my 94 year old Mother. We needed to find an apartment for her before she could be released from the hospital. Kim Noir at Highgate in Prescott, AZ was wonderful in helping us secure an apartment for Mom. She has been at Highgate almost nine months, and has settled in very nicely. She is well looked after by the caretaker staff, restaurant staff, and medicine administrators. Mom has met some very nice residents. The staff keeps them busy with activities like bingo, guest speakers and crafts. And, Mom always looks forward to the daily evening movie.

My 90 YO Aunt has been at Highgate since December 2022. She has improved since her broken hip last November and is doing well at Highgate. She has made new friends with some of the residents and she likes the kind and professional staff there.

My mother has been living at Highgate since December 2015. It was a hard transition for her because she was previously living with us. The staff was very caring and understanding and made every attempt to make her feel comfortable and welcome in her new surroundings. She is quite happy now that she has made friends and enjoys the many activities there. Whenever we have a concern, the administration is quick to respond and makes every effort to accommodate our and her needs.

Recently helped my Uncle move from his own apartment to Highgate. He has told me that the food is wonderful and staff is very nice and attentive. All of Highgates staff seem very competent, always helpful and dedicated to their jobs from the office management to the maintenance staff that assisted in the move and the care givers that are ready to meet my Uncle's needs on a daily basis. I have been kept informed by the care givers as to how he is adapting to his new environment. The monthly costs are adjusted for the level of care required instead of one flat fee for all residents. Many businesses and facilities give lip service to striving for excellance as a goal but my experience is that Highgate actually deserves such a high rating.

It has been almost two years since my husband and I moved into Highgate. . With health issues for Larry and the pandemic, we have been grateful for the care and help of all the staff. Wait times are often quite long. More caregivers would be helpful for residents and the caregivers themselves. They are very busy. All try to meet the needs of everyone-a difficult job. I am very pleased that I chose Highgate for my assisted living home. The people are friendly and staff is helpful. This last year with the epidemic has been hard on everyone, but we have been well cared for. I COULD NOT recommend a better place to be in your latte years. We are set on top of a quiet mountain and the view is absolutely BREATHTAKING!!!

Circumstances required us to move my mother into a senior living facility this summer ... in the middle of the pandemic. We were not familiar with Highgate but two trusted friends highly recommended it. We could not be happier. The kind and caring staff has encouraged my mother to participate in activities and provided a great deal of personal attention. The concern for her well-being shown by the staff has made her quite content in her new home.

The staff in the cottage is outstanding. They all know each resident and care for their needs individually. They are all so kind, compassionate and caring. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the caregivers at the Cottages Memory Care. This has been a very difficult year for Marcia and me and I am so very grateful for the care that everyone has provided for us. I spoke with our neurologist at Banner Alzheimer in Phoenix and he said he was very pleased with Highgate after speaking with Isabella. We have family in Michigan and Ohio which has spoken to Adim and were also very impressed with his professionalism. I moved in about a month ago! The food is so good here at Highgate. I hate to tell you this but I have already gained 1 pound and I'm going to have to cut down on the food a little bit. You should try it whenever you get a chance! The staff is taking care of all of our needs even despite this virus going on in the world right now. The housekeeping staff did a beautiful job on my laundry! Neil, one of the care partners, is extremely helpful and nice. Honesty, everyone is nice! Since my sister was experiencing early onset dementia, we siblings moved her from New Mexico to Highgate after I looked at several assisted living places in the area. We are so pleased with the choice. The move was unsettling to be sure, but with the care and attention she has received, she now feels very secure and at home. Kathy at the front desk has been a listening ear when my sister had spells of sadness and confusion. She calls to inform us of activities we can join in like holiday meals and the Memorial Day parade for the residents. The nurse, Amber, has responded to my questions concerning behavior changes and medications. Leslie, the director, sends written communication concerning Highgate's response to COVID-19. They are doing an amazing job of protecting the residents. My sister often says she would like to know how Highgate interviews for staff because "everyone is so kind and helpful." She has a heart for the staff who do the unsung jobs like cleaning rooms and doing laundry.The staff keyed in on my sister's ability to engage other residents in conversation and activities (not so unusual for a former speech pathologist), so they encourage and acknowledge her abilities. My sister now feels dignity and a sense of purpose in her role of making others feel noticed, significant, and included. We siblings are all very greatful for the personal care our sister is receiving. I feel that the Highgate staff see what they do, not just as a job, but as a mission to be a home and familty for their residents. Thank you.

My wife's Mom has been at home in The Cottage at Highgate for four months, after two years in assisted living in Mesa and a brief stay at another Prescott facility. The differences in the approach at Highgate, some of which are subtle, have made all the difference to us. The Cottage staff engages the residents with respect and loving care, encouraging participation in regular activities and outings. They are approachable and responsive to our questions and comments regarding Mom's care. The food is satisfactory, and we're particularly pleased by the staff's efforts to understand and address the residents' food preferences and preparation needs. The facility is well-maintained, and the environment is warm and comfortable. We've seen marked improvement in Mom's outlook, and each time we visit we're reassured that our decision to move her to Highgate was in her best interests.

Hands down Highgate Senior Living is the best assisted living facility in the Prescott (tri-city area). Their priorities are safety, quality of life and engaged compassionate caring.
