Chef Isaiah has been incredibly accommodating to my grandmother, allowing her to enjoy meals without the fear of becoming ill from her Celiac and dairy-free diet. The chef before him seemed to not care. He stays in constant communication with me to ensure that the weekly menu meets her needs. She often praises him for taking the time to visit the dining room during each meal to check on her. Both she and her tablemates have a great appreciation for him. Today, she called to inform me that he was let go without any explanation. This is a significant loss for the manor, and it's truly disappointing.

I am a relatively new resident at Manor Village in the immediate vicinity of the Desert Ridge Mall in Phoenix, Arizona. When I began my search for a future residence for myself, I had several important criteria. Having three levels was crucial; Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. I found all three at Manor Village. As a facility that is three years old, the design of the facility is modern, user friendly and ":fresh". Manor Village emphasizes a positive attitude toward its residents They have definitely succeeded. Everyone who works here is helpful and supportive of the residents thus creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. They are here to help whether it is serving in the dining room, bringing food to units when necessary, providing supportive care or just a smile and "hello" when passing in the halls. Additionally, there are numerous activities on site as well as frequent visits to outside venues including shopping, shows and places of general interest Manor Village is truly a "Village" Hank B.

I cannot sing the praises of the team at Manor Village enough. You could point to how hard they work (true), or to the organization of their staff and programs (not always the case in a retirement community), or even the sparkling facility itself. But what continues to reassure me this is the right home for my parents is this: the staff's smiles. They are simply loving and caring people. My parents moved into Manor Village over two years ago and during this period transitioned from assisted living to memory care. They're both over 100 now and receiving great care; it should be mentioned they can be a handful. Apologies because I will overlook several of the staff but shoutouts to Toby, Lisa, Acadia, and Wesley; Jenn at the front desk; Esme, Jenn and all the great team in memory care. I could go on about many others. Only suggestion would better organization around laundry (tracking of clothes) but that is it. The food is quite delicious, the facility well maintained and clean, and the Manor Village team so pleasant and caring. It's the most you could wish for in a retirement facility.

We just passed the 90 day mark for placing my sister in Memory Care. I had been on the search for a solid year with a very specific criteria mind, understanding that no place is absolutely perfect. Manor Village is nearly perfect! It’s all about the staff and the quality of attention that they give each resident. The staff and administration are VERY generous with their time and communication. They are phenomenal listeners in helping design and dial in my sister’s specific needs. They ALL have risen above and beyond on numerous occasions as we were getting acclimated to adjust the details. I feel like I’m in a true collaborative partnership with them knowing that when we are challenged, they rapidly work for solution. I’ll give them 10 stars (each) for love, good humor and compassion! Because of that, my sister is thriving beyond my wildest imagination here than she has in five years and doing things that have completely surprised me because their enthusiasm of inclusiveness and Joy has made her blossom!!! ’–’–’– We are so grateful to have landed in their family. My mom has been living in the memory care community at Manor Village since January. We did our research and toured 10 different memory care facilities in the general area. Within the first 5 minutes of touring Manor Village we knew it was the best place for mom. The sense of community and the true family feel at Manor Village is what sets it apart from the others. Since moving into Manor Village my mom has adjusted incredibly well and is very happy. The staff is wonderful and have come to be like family to us. They take incredible care of my mom, they are extremely kind, patient and caring. I highly recommend Manor Village to anyone looking for their loved one.

Our family selected the Manor Village for our mother for the intellectual stimulation and range of art, music, and other therapies we hoped it would offer her. Only one month has passed, but it has already met and exceeded our expectations. The big surprise for us is what a friendly and welcoming place it is. Everyone says "Hello" with a smile, whether they are residents, staff, or other visitors. We have also been impressed with the professionalism of the care givers, med techs, and activities directors. The facility is bright and clean with soothing colors and lots of light. The chef-curated menu offers a wonderful selection of meals. The staff are sensitive to how difficult this decision and move to Memory Care can be for a family, and they convene a family support group and offer lots of advice. In the short time Mom has been there, we’re still learning about the interface with medical care and a few other aspects, but we are comfortable with the care our mother is receiving and know it is delivered gently and respectfully. We look forward to a long relationship with the Manor Village.

My Mother moved into assisted living at The Manor Village in January 2022. The staff was very friendly and invited Mom to play games with the other residents. Mom found she Loves playing WII bowling, and some of the other games. She tries to show up for exercise class daily. I looked at other facilities and this was one of the nicest and seems to have the most participation in the activities by the residents. The Manor Village is clean and beautiful. When my husband needed to move to Assisted Living I decided I wanted to move with him to be there to support him. I looked at about 6 different places and the minute I got to The Manor Village it felt like home. The facilities were new and nice and bright. The apartment was spacious and had everything accessible like he needed. The Manor is pet friendly and we have our small dog with us and take him to the dog park here. I liked the idea that they had Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care. It’s also great that they all socialize with each other. There are so many interesting people here. They recently started having the residents share the stories of their lives as guest speakers. Monthly resident meetings to keep everyone informed. We have an echo dot in our apartment to be used for information or to call for help. The Wellness Team are so kind and supportive. The first thing they did was bring in a speaker to discuss my husband’s illness with the staff. They also manage all of the medications for my husband. The Food Service is awesome and is open to any suggestions I have made. We have the choice of the dinning room or a bistro. Chef meets with residents once week for feedback. The Activities offered have a great variety and they have been open to any suggestions for new activities. We have movies, games, card games, music, speakers, shopping, book club, Spanish class, Phoenix Art Museum speakers, Arts and crafts, Bingo, and many trips. We get daily message for the activities of the day. Housekeeping keeps the Manor beautiful with weekly cleaning of our apartments and laundry. Maintenance comes so fast if you need anything. There is onsite Therapies of OT, PT and Speech. We have a doctor that come to the apartment for visits. We have an onsite salon for hair and nails. We have many activities for the holidays with Arts and Crafts, food, music, contests, and theme weeks. There is always Wine Down Wednesday when the bar is full of laughter. The best part of The Manor Village is the friendly community of residents and staff. I'm grateful for finding this place.

I toured several local facilities when planning my mother's move from IL to AZ. None compared to The Manor Village. Other facilities had openings, but my mom was placed on a waiting list in order to reside here. My mom absolutely loves her new home and so do I. The facility is safe, clean and beautifully decorated. Every staff member is respectful, friendly and fun. The administrative team is very approachable and never too busy to answer questions. The staff will do whatever is necessary to give each resident a positive experience, even if that means to do something outside of their job description. There is a real teamwork atmosphere here. The dining experience is excellent and there are activities for all levels of independence. I would highly recommend The Manor Village at Desert Ridge.

The staff is excellent - committed, caring, kind and always available. What a warm and inviting atmosphere awaits you at The Manor Village! Our mom was living at the Vi at Silverstone independently for many years, but when she had an unfortunate fall which broke her leg, she had to go into to Vi's rehab facility which would lead to having to move her to their Assisted Living section. We were greatly disappointed on the level of care and atmosphere at the Vi and how they separated the Independent residents from the Assisted Living residents. We were so fortunate to have found The Manor that encouraged a friendly interactive community amongst the independent and assisted living residents. They maintain the dignity and respect for each resident regardless of what level of living or assistance he/she may need. It's a smaller community that allows for more interaction and building relationships amongst the residents and staff. The staff and caregivers are wonderful and full of care and compassion. Dining, activities, crafts, games, movies, and outings are available to everyone and at the same time. My siblings and I are very pleased with the level of care and commitment from every staff member. We highly recommend The Manor.

I looked at several senior communities and group homes before selecting Manor Village at Desert Ridge, Assisted Living, for my 92-year-old mother. I chose MVDR not only because it was quite new, clean and lovely, but also because of the positive energy shown by the staff and residents. In addition to the formal tour, I was independently able to ask residents if they were happy and if it they thought it would be a good place for my mother and I received nothing but affirmative responses. After four weeks my mom is settling in well and overall we are very pleased with the friendliness and responsiveness of staff, quality of food, and social activities. Previous to this move, my mom was living alone in her own home so this is our first senior community experience but we feel confident that we made the right decision.

My mother moved to The Manor last year and I can't share enough raves about the quality of the homes, the community, and the amazing staff. The facility is immaculate and so pleasant, outfitted for every holiday and occasion. Newcomers are welcomed and there are numerous activities every day, and activities seem to be updated based on what the residents enjoy. The food is fresh and menu changes every week. Most important, the staff know every resident by name, are so caring, patient, and helpful. My mother moved into in Assisted Living and every caregiver knows her name, her preferences, makes jokes, and are overall so kind and lovely. Our mother moved into Manor Village a little over a year ago. Manor Village has shown that they are very interested in the safety, comfort and happiness of their residents. For example, management has regular resident meetings to get feedback from the residents on how they are doing and what improvements they can make. The residents also have monthly meetings with the chef who wants their feedback and suggestions. He is very transparent in his food prep. He plans and prepares healthy meals, using organic products, good oils and wild caught fish. The apartments are clean, new and beautiful. You can tell how happy the people are the minute you walk in the door. The residents are always active in the building and outside, which indicates an healthy and happy environment. Both relocated from the midwest, so this was a huge change for them. My family searched for an assisted living situation for my parents a year and a half ago. As soon as we toured The Manor it was clear that it would be, by far, the best place for them because it felt upbeat, full of natural light, good food, and really friendly residents and staff. My father has been at MV for 16 months now. He is very happy and stress free. The staff is professional and courteous, he's made friends with other residents, and the food is great. The facilities are clean and well maintained. MV is not perfect, nobody is. They had challenges, especially with Covid like everybody else. The issues were addressed quickly and it looks like smooth sailing now. I consider identifying problems and addressing them quickly extremely important and MV does that well.

We moved my mom from Michigan to The Manor about 18 months ago. She lived there all of her life and we were worried about making such a huge move and whether she would be happy. Well we certainly didn't need to worry as she is so happy and content at The Manor. I call it the "Four Seasons" of retirement living! It's like a beautiful resort with every amenity you could ask for. My mom has made so many wonderful friends and enjoys all of the fun activities. I live in California, so I can drive over and have stayed multiple times in her apartment, so I've been able to see what it is like 24/7. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful, and I've met so many of the residents and it's just a fun bunch of people! One of the things that means the most to me is that I don't have to worry about my mom, and I know that she is safe, happy and living a very full life at age 92. Everything she needs is within a five mile radius including top notch medical care when it's necessary. I think all of the activities, good meals, and socializing with good friends is so healthy for everyone. I just hope I can find a place like The Manor when that time comes for me!

The care they have given our father is tremendous. It is like one big family at the Manor Village. They have been on top of our dads medical issues and prescription meds. He is in their assisted living section. They give him his daily meds, lay out his clothes for him, assist with his showering, keep his apartment clean, launder his clothes and bed weekly etc. The food and dining experience is excellent. We were so fortunate to find such a great place for our Mother. When walking into The Manor Village you immediately feel that it is a happy and friendly place. Lisa Schutta, Hospitality Coordinator, always goes out of her way to make sure all residents are happy and cared for. Shortly after Manor Village opened in April, 2021, I toured the facility on a Friday morning. I was back the next day with a deposit on an apartment that has become my home on the independent living floor. We were a small group of residents then - I was #10 - and together we have watched Manor grow in every way. I enjoy the light and airy facility, especially the dining room, and my beautiful suite. The location is very close to Desert Ridge shopping and restaurants and the 101 freeway. Most important, however, is the staff - at all levels. Manor is blessed to have a dining staff of competent and friendly servers, a great dining room manager and a top chef, who is very open to dining suggestions from residents. The food is generally good, and the addition of a Sunday brunch has increased our dining options. We are lucky to have a dedicated and joyful activities director,. She plans on site activities as well as excursions to grocery stores and shopping at nearby Desert Ridge. Again, another staff member open to residents' suggestions. Also, several residents are involved in leading an activity. The admin staff, including the director, are very approachable and unfailingly upbeat. They are very important in setting a tone of support and friendliness. Their doors are always open to residents and their families. Altogether, after riding out the bouts of Covid and the growing pains of a new building, Manor has become a great place to live and to call home.

I lived at Manor Village for over a year then left because I thought that grass would be greener but I forgot how many friends I had here so I had to return. I consider everyone here part of my family.

There are fun activities and many outings. Iretta and Christian run the wellness department so well and are always willing to help. My mom was a resident at the Manors of Scottsdale since 2009.Lisa Schutta was an employee I met there and when she left to go to her new job at Manor Village at Desert Ridge I moved my mom there in June, 2021. My mom was 97 at the time. We both fell instantly in love with how magnificent the place was and she was among the first tenants there. Her apartment was just stunning and she was surrounded with everything she loved. The food was great right from the start. And the activities that are available are fantastic! There is definitely something for everybody from exercise classes to arts and crafts and more.The outdoor spaces are gorgeous and the dining room feels more like a luxurious hotel. And the pool area is lovely. The nursing staff is just outstanding! Every single caregiver was kind, attentive and very caring about my mom especially when she started to decline. I cannot say enough about them...all were just extraordinary and my angels on earth. I am grateful to Lisa Schutta for introducing us to this beautiful facility and I am beyond grateful that the last 2 years of my mom's life were spent in such a perfect environment. Our mom has lived at the Manor almost since day, she was the sixth resident to move in and we couldn’t be any happier! We originally followed Lisa aka Mother Manor from her old residence where Lisa also worked, which was a previously owned Mann family residence. The Manor is so beautiful, modern, family-owned, they listen to the residents and families, they have Lisa (who has been there since day one, knows every resident by name ), Iretta (head of nursing-so lovely), Acadia-activities coordinator- plans great and fun things to do. Our mom is 92, still lives independently under the watchful and loving eyes of our friends at the Manor Village and we are grateful.

We have found this home to be far superior to the previous homes. This includes the quality of the physical structure, management, ownership, and staff. Their motto is "The Community with Heart" does truly express how they treat us. We are very pleased with the dining service and quality food. The raw product is of high quality and is prepared in a very appetizing way.

Was greeted by warm & friendly women at the front desk approx 11:30am and all the staff I met in the hallways were helpful & kind too. My friends lunch was delivered on time to her apartment, which was a fresh & good tasting BLT sandwich. However, late afternoon I went out to pick up my friend's prescription at the pharmacy for her & when I returned the front doors were wide open & no one at the desk or in lobby. Felt there should've been better security because anyone could just walk in. This was around 5:00pm.

The Manor Desert Ridge is a beautiful place. Stunning, actually. Not only is their decor pleasing to walk through, but I love that there are always residents visiting in the lobby, or near the lounge area listening to music, enjoying the game/activities room - actually enjoying where they live. Toby needs to be cloned, seriously, she’s the employee every organization wants. Outstanding. It was an adjustment for my dad but everyone there really assisted in making him feel welcomed and were there to help him navigate all that was new to him. They make sure to have two buddies to eat with newcomers, us kids were relieved (it was like sending your kindergartners to their 1st day of school, hard!). The dining room is still working out some kinks (still, since July), and from the many discussions I’ve had with him, they may need to evaluate who is in charge of that department or get that person some help (so much turnover w/ employees in dining room). PT & OT people are superb and have made such a difference for him, physically and mentally. Van driver, Chris, has been a Godsend for us with so many Dr appointments. Very grateful that he can live in such a beautiful, accommodating home.
