I come every Friday to visit a friend's mom in memory care. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. I spend 5 hours there and look forward to it every week. I think 3 of the residents now remember me somewhat and we all have a good time talking about everything and anything. The "concerts" are good entertainment too. I hope if I someday need a place like Legacy, that there is an opening there for me.

I relocated to The Legacy assisted living- memory care facility in Mesa, AZ with the intent that it would be a very good place to get the care I needed. I was not disappointed. From day one, I received the attention and above expectations flexibility i was looking for. It's an older facility but it's going thru a major remodeling upgrade. The Executive Director has been here since it opened 18 years ago and that has resulted in low staff turnover and stability not found in other facilities. The staff is EXCELLENT and many of them have been here for years, which speaks volumes about how the place in managed. Happy employees create an environment that results in happy residents. If you or a loved one is getting to the point where additional care is needed, it's a reasonably priced place worth considering. They also have a facility in Scottsdale and one in Avondale.

My mom has been a resident in Memory Care at Legacy since January, 2024, and I could not have dreamed of a better place for her to be! No matter what time I drop in during the day, my mom is engaged in some kind of activity, whether or not it's during a scheduled activity time! I try to stop by when I think she might be bored and just hanging out in her room, but that has yet to happen. She's always engaged in some kind of activity. The staff all really KNOW my mom. They are aware of her needs, and her triggers, and they are always one step ahead to prevent her from becoming upset or distressed. The level of care that Legacy provides is above and beyond anything I expected!

Extremely caring staff. Front desk is knowledgeable and friendly. Chelsea and Teri in nursing are professional and handle things as a team. Caregivers for my family member were compassionate and efficient. Would recommend Legacy to anyone looking for caring residence for family. Since the first day I walked into this building everyone was so nice and helpful. From the receptionist greeting you with a smile, and showing you where to go. I work for another company, and it's been an honor working together with the staff remembers at Legacy. I am in the building often and every day I see how much they care for their residents and work hard to provide exceptional care for their residents. The residents look happy every time I'm there, and they have a great crowd for activities, and they really engage with the residents. Chelsie, Terri, and Julianna are amazing to work with. They are very involved in the residents needs, care, and advocate for them. The med techs and caregivers are great also, they are very passionate and care for the residents, and you can tell by the care they provide to them on a daily basis. This a great building!

My mother is a resident in assisted living facilities at Legacy. There are not enough superlatives to describe the professionalism and kindness shown to my mother as a resident. I consistently visited Mom at varying times, and always observed a friendly, caring environment created by the entire staff. The care givers taking care of my mom's complete hygiene needs is second-to-none. The administrative staff is highly interactive with the residents with shout outs to Chelsea and Teri. It is clear they care about all of the residents' needs and well-being. Thank you all for your help and caring.

My father is the primary caregiver for my mother, who can only move her neck and arm. He had a stroke and could no longer care for her. Our family called many institutions and brought in two placement agents. All in all, we estimate we contacted somewhere between 40 and 50 places. Legacy was the ONLY assisted living facility that considered my parents. They were the ONLY assisted living facility willing to make accommodations for my parents' unique needs, whether getting my mother into bed using a lift or finding a way to ensure she would be properly fed. The place is lovely. Kind of like an old lodge. It has a theater room and a cafeteria that the residents praised. They have top-notch events for the residents, too, and even got the state's Attorney General to come and speak. Terri, the nurse who assessed my father, was a delight. And I can't speak highly enough of Rose, the marketing director. She was kind, responsive, and flexible. But most admirably, she pushed for my parents when no one else would, looking for ways to make it work. I can't tell you how much that meant to us. We were quickly dismissed at other institutions as too complex of a case, but Rose went and met with Legacy's Executive Director, Lin, and they decided they'd keep exploring how to make it work and ultimately concluded that they could make it work. For the time being, my parents are staying at a group home that they happened to find. And I'm still writing this review because of the kindness Legacy showed to my family. When I told Legacy that my parents wouldn't be moving in immediately, they were enthusiastic that my parents found a situation that could work for them. There were no hard feelings at all. Truly, truly recommend them for other families in a difficult spot.

Legacy Retirement Residence is a beautiful place for the seniors to live at. The Staff is so friendly and maintenance keeps up on all the repairs needed. Everything is so well kept it looks brand new. My Grandmother lived there for 4 years. I worked in Assisted Living and loved it. It was so much fun to the Seniors, whether with caring for them, or taking them to Ice Cream Social. Well i would have still been there, but my Grandmother died . After 2 yrs of eorking there i had to quit i was so emotional always thinkingof my Grandmother. I highly recommend Legacy. This place is a clean, friendly, excellent food, make many friends. Also it's a place to call HOME!

I scheduled a tour there to visit with my grandparents in the facilities were great, and the staff were friendly and truly cared about the residents under their care. I could see genuine concern for safety and happiness of all the residents , and the staff were friendly and engaging and answered any and all questions, and were very informative and knowledgeable about everything that legacy had to offer. Ms. Mailani Fernandez was especially enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the facilities and showed great respect and responsibility in her position and her team. I think it's a truly great place for my grandparents to be in the golden years of their life.

This place has been a God sent. My mother has been a resident in the memory care side since August. They have been taking care of her when we couldn’t anymore. They treat you like family, and get back to you when any concerns arise.

We made the decision to have our grandmother stay here and it has been nothing short of incredible. The staff are joyous and attentive. One in particular stood out. Mailani (Director of Recreation) always greets everyone with a loving and caring smile. You can tell its genuine which is rare these days. She goes above and beyond which should be recognized. We are eternally grateful to have someone like her on your team. Our grandmother was hesitant at first getting involved or doing activities but the creativity and heart of the staff and Mailani during this pandemic has brought her and our family happiness and peace of mind.

We just helped my dad move in about 5 weeks ago. All I can say is, WOW. I live states away and was worried to leave my dad in a new place like a momma leaving her preschooler for the first day. I visited him recently in his new home and was so overwhelmed by the caring staff, supportive climate, and welcoming residents. Upon entering, its homey, smells fresh, and residents are out and about, ready to chat. My dads unit is great sized. Perhaps the kitchen is a little overkill since he chooses to eat downstairs with everyone else. *That would be my only suggestion - scale down on the kitchen size and increase the living space. But, perhaps he could turn the kitchen into a dance floor or art studio! Speaking of dance, I love that music is an integral part of most days. Either listening to tunes, exercising or dancing with gals down the hall. The bus driver was really sweet in helping us navigate how to use their system. The best little cafe is just three storefronts away or less than a 3 minute bus ride! We are only 5 weeks in, but Ive got nothing to complain about! So glad my dad is in a new home!

My Mom, Gladys Sabatine, blossomed from sitting in her recliner, covered with her throw, eating 1, 4 of a sub for dinner, to a functioning 89 year old within weeks of moving into Legacy. She enjoyed the daily exercise classes, the variety of offered activities, especially Bingo, and sharing conversations with others during the excellent 3 meals a day of her choice. Most important, she was in a safe environment. I will forever be thankful to the helpful, caring staff that contributed to making my Moms last year on earth filled with so many happy memories.

Our visits to many assisted care facilities were all wonderful, but Legacy stood out with the staff and facilities and activities each day. When the time comes that you have to make decisions about your loved ones and where to place them, have a tour here and you will readily make up your mind that this is the place for your loved ones.

I am an entertainer at Legacy and having been to many communities across the whole valley I can tell you that this is by far the best facility I attend. The staff is amazing and Mailani is fantastic to work with. She is always professional, caring and courteous and I cant say enough about her. The residents are also fabulous and always love singing with me. Legacy is a GREAT community. Keep up the great work everyone.

My wife was a memory care resident at Legacy Retirement Homes for slightly over year before she passed. It was apparent from the first that this was a great place for her. I told others that They actually do what they say they will do. The care was excellent. I realized later that my comments were unfair to Legacy. They actually do far more than what they claim. I saw the caregivers doing many small acts of kindness that showed that they really cared about their charges. These were not something that could ever be stated in a job description, but obviously came from the heart. The staff was readily available to me as a family member and was as concerned with my needs as they were with my wifes. The treatment we received at Legacy was infinitely better that what we had received at another facility prior to moving to Legacy. I highly recommend Legacy if you need care for a loved one.

Lots of events, everyone is really happy and nice here and you can tell the residents love living here. They get involved in the activities like passing out candy for Halloween and they go out a lot. There is also live music twice a week and the food is really good. I see them on facebook all the time dancing, doing art, going out to eat and having a blast.

My Mother was a resident at Legacy till she passed in September. It was wonderful to see how my Mother blossomed after moving there. The care and love she received there was wonderful. Lisa , Amie, Jay, and JR gave my Mother such amazing care. They are so passionate about how they care for the residents. They go above and beyond what is required of them. One of the things I find most comforting and assuring about Legacy Mesa is the stability of the staff. My in-laws have been living at Legacy for about two and half years and there has been very little turnover in staff. This allows the staff and residents to become familiar with each other and to form real bonds and even friendships. My husband and I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff. The care-givers and med-techs are caring and kind. The administrative staff is very responsive and willing to help when necessary.

Legacy Mesa has been a life-saver for my family. It is a place where I can feel confidence that my parents are well-cared for at all times. More than that, it is a place with a staff that really cares about its residents. This past June, my parents celebrated their 65 wedding anniversary. The Activities Director, Mailani, arranged a very special day for them by helping my mother dress up and then taking her and my father out for a very special lunch at my fathers favorite restaurant, where she had arranged for the staff to treat them as VIPs. This is a wonderful memory that I will carry with me for many years to come, and my father has not stopped talking about in almost 6 months. Legacy has truly found the right formula and with special people like Mailani, they make very difficult times that much easier. Thank you Legacy!

Every experience I have had with Legacy Retirement of Mesa has been positive. The residents and staff are always friendly and welcoming. Ive enjoyed volunteering weekly, helping with delivering flyers and calendars, decorating for holidays, and assisting with fun activities. Ive been impressed with the variety of activities. The facility is always clean with a homey environment. I admire the elderly. They have lived some amazing lives and inspire me to live life to the fullest. They are treated with respect at Legacy.

Staff is warm, friendly and responsive. I dont worry about my loved ones care. I visit often and at different times during the day and have always felt comfortable with the atmosphere and genuine care for residents. The different levels of care mean that as more care is needed we dont have to worry about finding someplace else. We are so grateful for Legacy Retirement in Mesa!

Conversation between LeeAnn Shupe Salisbury and Legacy Retirement Residence of Mesa LeeAnn Shupe Salisbury 9:50am Jan 13 My mother Jean Ann Shupe moved into Legacy Mesa on December 23rd after suffering from debilitating depression and then a stroke. We have been so grateful for the wonderful atmosphere, people and care that she is experiencing. Your staff have been helpful, caring and kind not just to her but to me and my siblings as well. I want to especially mention on of the caregivers who has had a huge impact on my mother. Her name is Bing and I have no idea what her last name is. She is so cheerful, personable, kind, loving, complimentary and just all around a joy! She has been able to make a connection with my mother at a time when really no one else can. When I was visiting a week after my mother moved in, I was so saddened by my mothers mental condition. She was uncommunicative, depressed, wouldnt talk or do any of the things she used to love to do. The only time I got to see glimpses of my MOM was when Bing was around. Recently my mother took to putting a blanket over her head and sitting in her chair all the time. Bing told her that she shouldnt put a blanket over her pretty face anymore. The blanket isnt over my moms head anymore. Bing was able to do something no one else was able to do. I am so grateful and wanted her supervisors to know that she is making a big difference and I hope she is considered a very valuable employee. I lived there a few years back and I was very happy. Everyone that works there are the best at their profession. They are always there to help you and your family to what ever life brings your way. The apartments are wonderfully made with every detail thought out that a senior person might need. You and your family will make plenty of wonderful friendships along the way. As far as things to do there is never an absent of anything to keep one busy. Loved my stay there and am looking forward to the day when I will be back in Mesa and be back with my wonderful friend I made at the Legacy House in Mesa Az.
