Desert Winds I meal plans that are prepared with fresh ingredients daily from specially designed menus. We also offer snacks between meal times. A Place For Mom
I have nothing but good things to say about Desert Winds. The staff are very caring and they were very fair with me since my dad only got to spend a few days here. I felt that they were all excellent. I would highly recommend Desert Winds to other families and already have to friends.

A Place For Mom
I would highly recommend Desert Winds I. The care my father received was excellent. Unfortunately his physical and mental condition deteriorated so rapidly due to his illness and I had to move him to another facility. But up until the day he was moved, he received excellent care. The owners made sure that I was advised of any changes and I had confidence that his needs were being met and he was safe.

My grandmother has been at Desert Winds Assisted Living Home with Constantin and Manuela since 2014, and I can't say enough wonderful things about them and how well they care for their residents. Granny has had Alzheimer's for at least 15 years, has been stationary and nonverbal for the past 7 years, and in hospice care for the past 5 years. I can honestly say she would not still be with us today if it wasn't for her excellent care at Desert Winds. Granny cannot care for herself at all, they feed her home cooked meals every day, keep her hydrated, bathed, and in clean clothes and linens. She has NEVER had a bed sore because they always make sure to move and rotate her properly. Our minds are at ease knowing she is comfortable and cared for. It is a beautiful home in Mesa, AZ, with about 6 rooms, so they can have anywhere from maybe 5 to 10 residents at a time. It’s never too crowded and always feels like you’re visiting your family member at home. The owners and primary caretakers Constantin and Manuela, a married couple, along with help from a few other care givers – all take EXCELLENT care of the residents. Your family member will have home cooked meals every day, be kept clean, be attended to, talked to, and treated with respect and dignity. They make sure the residents are up and active and get fresh air regularly which is so important in their recovery and longevity. They love their residents and are extremely knowledgeable in how to care for people with a variety of mental and physical needs. Recently my aunt was diagnosed with an advanced stage of cancer which required daily care and assistance. She made the decision to move into Desert Winds during these difficult times, and they have really been amazing with her. I know they have made the difference in her care, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place for her to be right now.

We had a great tour experience with Desert Winds. It looked like a very good place to have a loved one. The downfall for us was it is a smaller place. I felt that they did not have the sufficient staff to care for my loved ones condition and needs.

Truer words could not describe Desert Winds. The environment, love & care given by Manuela, Constantin & staff are beyond compare. We know that they honestly care about our Dad which makes our separation from him a bit easier. We know he couldn't be in better hands & wouldn't receive the same love & concern than he has now. The residents are treated to Manuela's fabulous home cooked meals. I'm still trying to replicate her green bean recipe. Our family is very fortunate that Desert Winds was recommended to us in our time of need. Thank you for what you do Manuela & Constantin. You are a Blessing to us. ❤
