It’s never easy trying to find your loved one a safe clean friendly trustworthy place . The moment we walked in and the staff took time to show us their facility and answer questions, it has been nothing but a wonderful experience, my mom absolutely loves it and it feels so good to go see her and see how happy she is, she has made some really good friends with some of the residents as well. From the director to all staff they have great open communication with the family. It feels good to also hear from others in the community what a great place Hacienda del Rey is. We couldn’t be any more grateful and happy.

We were grateful that we found a place to help us take care of my MIL at Hacienda Del Rey. We appreciated their professionalism in all aspects. Their executive Director, Gretchen, was wonderful to work with and we were fortunate to get to know some of the caregivers like Claudia, Yuolette and Maria. It gave us peace when we saw how they interacted with my mother-in-law and the relationship they created with her. We had peace knowing that she was cared for and we were allowed to visit her anytime we wanted to.

What an incredible place! We recently moved my MIL in and are so impressed all around. The place is lovely and all the staff are amazing. Gretchen, Erica, Julie, Dania and everyone else are so helpful, friendly and reassuring. There are so many logistics and these knowledge women are highly skilled and made it all happen surprisingly fast. They work so hard and are constantly busy yet they return phone calls promptly and answer questions patiently. The cherry on top is that they are kind, compassionate and fun too. What a joy and relief to find this place! We are so grateful for all the staffs' hard work to make a welcoming home for my mother-in-law. My husband and I can sleep easier knowing his mom is in such good hands.

Hacienda Del Rey is a blessing for Mom and truly a unique care setting in the Phoenix area. They are truly driven from the top down to fulfill their mission to provide the best care and fulfillment for every resident. It starts with Gretchen, the Executive Director, who was kind caring and makes it all happen. Erica, who leads sales, made the transition experience easy, fast and always says yes to even our smallest requests. Their director of care, Julie, is second to none in my experience and has given us the gift of piece of mind knowing she is watching every aspect of Mom's care. I wish we had moved Mom here 3 years ago in fact. This place gets both the small and large details right.. Thank you to all of the staff who make every day happen at Hacienda Del Ray

My mom just moved into hacienda del rey and she couldnt be happier. The staff before, during and after move in was amazing!!!! I have received numerous calls and text from my mom saying how safe and at home she feels. Our move in went so smoothly I kept thinking what am I missing. My mom has lived in two other facilities over the years and I can say NONE of them went this smoothly. It was days and days of trying to get things straightened out. But not here. The staff was prepared for her move in, had all her paperwork and supplies ready and was so welcoming to her. Her caretakers instead of just assuming how she wants things done have spent the time asking her questions and getting to know her whats and needs. We are looking forward to years of good times.

My 96 year old father was only a resident of Hacienda Del Rey in Litchfield Park for a little over a month, but he so appreciated the care he received there. Every time my brothers or I visited, he commented that, he just couldnt have asked for better care. That was such a comfort to us. The staff In the front office and in Building 7 were always very caring and helpful and very quick to respond to any questions we had. We were very pleased with our choice of Hacienda Del Rey to care for my father during his final days.

Hacienda met the general criteria we were looking for. Erica rearranged her schedule to meet ours and Gretchen, the Executive Director was there for us as well. We have searched the Goodyear area many times over the years to find the perfect place for a elderly, good friend of ours with dementia and MS. We have had her in two other places out here and became disenchanted with both over a few years. Though put off by the name Hacienda, I scheduled a tour in early February and was very impressed. They are not related to the infamous other Hacienda. My partner did the tour the next day and was also impressed. The houses are very clean, the grounds well maintained and the staff energetic. Our friend moved in the end of February and loves it! She is more socially engaged and is not as cranky. The food is fresh, delicious and varied. We highly recommend Hacienda del Rey! One of our neighbors is checking out the facility for her husband that has Alzheimers.

My mom has vascular dementia, we were looking or a new Memory Care Community. I met with Erica Martinez in March 2020. She provided me with all the information on Hacienda Del Rey. She and the staff I met were very warm and friendly. As we toured Hacienda, we were greeted by so many friendly staff members who were very open and responsive to our questions. Unfortunately, due to COVID 19 we were forced to wait until late May to move mom. Erica and the management team had arranged to have the maintenance manager help with the move in. To our surprise when we arrived not only was the maintenance manager there the caregivers also quickly jumped in and began helping bring in boxes and furniture. The caregivers from Hacienda went out of their way to welcome mom to her new home. The thing I like most is the staff members and management really do care about the residents. We are very happy we found Hacienda Del Rey and would recommend them to others who need special care for their loved ones.

My mom is a resident here. Its clean and the caregivers do their best to do their best for every person that is there for each resident. My only suggestion would be to have a central kitchen to supply meals for the residents so the caregivers can focus only on care and not be sidetracked with meal prep

I had the pleasure of exploring Hacienda Del Rey on June 20, and came away most impressed. This complex is laid out so very differently than any other retirement living facility in the area. The newer cottages, each a home in their own right (complete with private rooms circling a common dining and kitchen area, where care givers serve meals, and a large well-equipped common living room) provide privacy when desired and a family atmosphere, too. The decor is different in each cottage with a common foot print. All the cottages border a huge courtyard where meeting and greeting other Hacienda Del Rey residentbs in possible whenever desired. A chef in a brand-new-state-of-the-art kitchen provides meals for all cottages. The chef told me he has been in the business for 20 plus years and his passion is cooking, the meal he was preparing was proof. The residents here have a sense of living at home, no lining up with others to be in a common dining area and yet the availability of socializing with others beyond the door is available, too. The staff all very friendly and pleasant were going about their duties with smiles and warmth. Competitive pricing and immediate availability in the new facility make it most attractive and welcoming. The MBK Senior Living high quality is most obvious in this development.

My grandmother moved into the memory care unit in October 2019. She was placed in Cottage One. The med techs and caregivers are outstanding. They are extremely professional, dedicated and supportive of the residents and their families. The cottage is beautifully decorated and maintained to the highest standard. Marina, Kerri, Leonora, Nikki, Jerry and Courtney always keep me apprised of any issues regarding my grandmother. I highly recommend this facility for your loved one. It will certainly provide you with peace of mind when you can no longer be the caregiver.

My father was a resident in the memory care unit for a a little over 4 months before passing away. My dad always said we could never put him in a facility but he just got too hard to care for at home. The staff took amazing care of my father and he actually bounced back after moving in. It was wonderful! He never felt like it was an assisted living because of the house model of living and therefore never complained about being there. He loved the food and started eating again after arriving. They cooked it all fresh right there in the house. My mother would visit daily and the staff took her under their wing and cared about them both. It was very comforting. They kept me well informed of issues, problems, changes, and good times that were had with both. We moved in under hospice care and the staff worked very well with the hospice for the duration of his time there and worked closely with them to keep my father comfortable at the end of his life. I am eternally grateful to everyone at Hacienda Del Ray for their love and compassion shown to my entire family.

I started working here when old management was still here, I applied for week days and day shifts and full time only due to night school and second job weekends. No issues, good relation with co-workers and residents in my scheduled home. As a med tech, i memorized everyones medication in my scheduled home and was very aware of how the home was attended. Wasnt until new management came in and messed everyones schedules up, I went from 40 hours to 8 and when lucky 16 hours! If I wanted more hours I was told I can work overnights, something I didnt apply for, do due to medical school and a second job. We started seeing new staff every other day, lowering the hours of existing employees and hiring staff without a caregivers certificate. Something that they supposedly required People like many existing staff and myself had all the requirements, experience and were med techs and we were having our hours played with. I started being scheduled on weekends and overnights and had all weekdays off.. Again, something I didnt apply for. Every week a new schedule. I felt like the new manager had no compassion for the staff. Always speaking of staff and families confidentiality. Very unprofessional! Sometimes I was afraid of telling her something and everyone knowing.. Homes had much inconsistency as scheduled staff were being scheduled in different homes without training and like me, were left to figure without training or knowledge of the clients and the homes. Especially being a med tech and not being familiar with anything they take with the online system always failing and no answered calls and a different RN every week! Sometimes not even an RN. They would either quit or get fired all the time.. Normally 2 staff were supposed to work in each home with 10 residents, sometimes theyll be ONE staff trying to cook, clean, toilet, prepare meds and narcotics, have baths pending and houses were expected to be cleaned for daily tours! All for bad scheduling! Happened to me many times and to other staff. Many accidents with residents occured because of lack of staff! And we had to hear an ear full of upset families wondering why 1 person is in charge of 10 people who vary from bed bound to stand by assistance. Because of my other commitments, many times I had to request scheduled days OFF because I couldnt be missing a school that I payed for, because my manager decides shell fit me into a schedule shes aware I cant take or applied for.. I believe a job like this, requires consistency for the sake of the residents. The staff deserve to be happy as well if the job is to provide care, compassion and assistance for others (A job worth to keep). Fortunately I was given a chance at a job who did let me know my ex manager at Hacienda Del Rey decides to say in the reference that I miss and call off alot Well its obvious I had to! She made it seem like it was just because I felt like it when hours were what I mostly needed. When I gave my notice, I remember she didnt seem too happy. I would drive almost 40 minutes for 8-16 hours. Not worth staying. Thankfully it hasnt ruined my opportunities as for now, but I will definitely be aware of the person I am viewed as for doing whats best for myself. I know I did a good job and I am proud I helped the best way I could. I figured its fair to hear the side of a staff at Hacienda Del Rey.

This is a beautiful place for your loved one. Everything is new and clean. The staff are kind and helpful. You should take a tour with the COO, Richard. Express all of your concerns to him, and he will make sure that you are well taken care of. When, and if, I ever need to live in a facility such as this, I hope my children will let me live here or somewhere near them just like it.
