Do not hesitate to leave your loved one at Parkland Memory Care. I needed a safe place for my husband after a hospital stay determined he would be unable to return home. Stacie was instrumental in making our transition to Parkland seemless. She worked tirelessly to make sure my husband was taken care of. He has been there for several months and doing very well. The executive director, Maurie & Stacie continue to make sure he is doing well. It is a hard decision choosing a facility for your loved one, but Parkland has worked with me and for me to ensure my husband is well taken care of. The staff and the executive team truly care about their residents. I visit a couple times a week and the staff is always helpful when or if I need something for my husband. The facility is always clean and the staff engages with the residents. The facility has a hotel feel to it, it’s not clinical in the least. There are daily activities, and the layout gives the residents plenty of space to be in the common areas, and plenty of space to walk around. I am grateful that I found Parkland. It’s a difficult time when you have to place a loved one in a facility, but the people here have made this transition a little easier for us.

My husband was at Parkland for a year; he passed away in June. It had become impossible to care for him at home. I feel very lucky that we found Parkland. I found everyone to be kind and caring to Terry and very helpful to me. I couldn’t have survived this past year without you!

When we decided that my wife needed to be moved into a memory care facility, we began the vetting process. Intuitively, I thought that those facilities that focused SOLELY on memory care would be better than those that were part of a senior living community (which also had assisted living and independent living) because memory care was their sole offering. Unfortunately, I subsequently learned differently. I placed my wife at Parkland in October 2025, but relocated her to another facility in May 2026, after determining that Parkland was sub-standard in the following ways: - The resident population was much lower functioning than I had imagined (and subsequently found to be the case as I observed the resident populations at the senior living communities that also offered memory care). I was told that the higher-functioning residents were on the west side at Parkland (lower-functioning were on the east side), when in reality, whenever they had an opening, irrespective of which side, that's where the next resident would be placed. - The meals were hardly edible. I was told that if my wife didn't like the meal being served, she could ask for something else. Never happened. - The activities were a joke, often never even happening (they were posted on a calendar). - Communications were very poor. I prefer to ask questions and receive answers via email, so that I have documentation. I would almost always have to send a second request in order to get a response. - The caregivers would act one way to the residents and another way to the loved ones. - Lack of attention to cleanliness and sanitation practices relative to food service (i.e., carrying four glasses of juice by having a finger <with no gloves> in each glass). - The business manager, who handles the finance function, does not have a sound fundamental understanding of accounting (or even bookkeeping). - I came away from our six month experience feeling that "heads in beds" was clearly the goal. In summary, I would simply suggest that you pay careful attention is selecting a facility for your loved one because there are huge differences between facilities.

Absolutely great care for my father, from Memory Care through hospice. Compassionate, engaging, and attentive to all his needs. I wish we had found Parkland before the prior Gilbert facility who only seemed to care about his money. Thank you to all the staff for taking such great care of my father in his last days on earth!!!

My mom was a resident for just over 6 years. She was treated with the utmost respect and dignity, especially in her last days. Parkland works to educate families on the disease process of dementia. The facility is clean and full of smiling faces. They offer a host of in facility care such as medical, dental, hair and nail care as well as hospice. I highly recommend if your loved one requires memory care.

My Daddy was at Parkland for almost two years, and sometimes he could be a difficult patient. The staff, nurses, and caregivers were excellent with him. Always kind, loving and understanding. They were very good at keeping me updated on his progress and well being. This meant alot since we were long distance. I spent quite a bit of time with him there and was always happy with his environment.

My father was a resident at Parkland Memory Care for more than a year, and placing him there was the best decision I made for his care. The staff treated him with dignity and respect, and consistently gave him excellent care. I know from experience with both my parents how difficult it is to choose a care facility, but when it comes to Parkland, you can be confident your loved one will be in very good hands.

Update: My father celebrated his 100th birthday 4 months ago at Parkland! They threw him a great party and we included everyone who has been part of his life there for the last 5 years. He had cake, balloons, and lots of presents to open (my favorite: I'm 18 with 82 years experience). A few days ago my father passed. It truly was peaceful and I had all the support I could wish for from Aleca hospice as well as the staff and nurses at Parkland. I was at his side for days, able to talk to him and make sure he was comfortable. I have been able to be 100% a daughter to him while Parkland handled the caregiving, which would have just been too much for me to handle. They truly loved him. Thank you, Parkland. Original Post: 3 years ago my father was discharged from the hospital after emergency surgery. His previous memory care facility said they could not provide the extra care he needed. The hospital care coordinator recommended Parkland, which could provide the extra care, and within a few days my dad was moved in and recovering. He's still doing well and is happy, at age 98! The staff at Parkland are the most caring people I've met in any of his 3 previous homes. He likes them because they treat him with dignity, provide things to do and therapy dogs to pet, and give him plenty of the food he likes. I like them because they keep me informed of everything via phone calls, emails, and face-to-face meetings. It just feels happy there. I visit often and am welcomed every time. One time I happened to be there during a fire drill, when they moved the west side residents to the east side, and one of the talented residents just sat at the piano and started playing cheerful tunes. That was the most cheerful fire drill I've ever witnessed! I highly recommend Parkland. When I leave town, I never worry. Whether Dad is having a grumpy day or a good one, I know he is surrounded by professionals who truly care about him.

3 months ago I opted to move my mother to Parkland Memory Care even though the assisted living facility she was at had an impressive memory care unit. Through experience I have come to believe that staff turnover is highly correlated to quality and consistency of care. As I searched I was looking for an intimate and clean setting with low staff turnover as an indicator that the staff were happy in their job and therefore capable of providing consistent high quality care. Many, if not most at Parkland have been there 5-6 years. It was no contest. Parkland is a great facility, built specifically for memory care patients. What truly impresses, though, is the caring, attentive nature of the staff...and I mean everyone from the executive director to the caregivers!! They actively engage the residents and are kind, attentive and respectful. I am so happy I made the choice to take her to Parkland. She recently passed but loved her time there, especially loved the staff and the residents. If you have choice, you need to look at Parkland first. Incredible!

I have nothing but great things to say about Parkland and it's staff. When I started my search for a Memory Care Facility, I contacted several of them via email. The Communications Director (Staci) was one of the many that responded back to me. Over the course of a month, I emailed several questions to each place. Staci was the only person who continued to email me back, both promptly and with great answers and advice. Right away, I could tell that she truly cared about my wife and her well being. If everyone else was going to be as caring and concerned as Staci, I knew Parkland would be the right place for her. The staff, from the Executive Director, to the Caregivers did not let us down. They were all amazing, caring and helpful. My wife was always taken care of. They all made her feel special and above all, safe! The facility was always clean and bright. It did not have the look or smell of other places that seemed more like a hospital than a home. We had to leave Parkland because we moved out of state. If we had stayed, Parkland would have always been my wife's home. I cannot thank you all enough for what you did. Not just for my wife, but for our family. You always made us feel we made the best choice to choose Parkland. Thank you!

My mother lived at Parkland just a month shy of four years, and she was very well loved and very well taken care of! As a former nurse (40+ years), when she first moved into the facility, she thought she was an employee and would follow the nurses and caretakers around trying to either assist or direct. She was always treated with dignity and was referred to as "Nurse Millie." My siblings and I were very happy with (and will be forever grateful for) the loving care she received. I would absolutely recommend this facility to families having to make this difficult decision. Thank you, Parkland.

They took excellent care of my mother and did a wonderful job of meeting my needs as well. You will be able to rest easier knowing your parent is being cared for at Parkland. The staff at Parkland are very kind and friendly. They fell in love with my husband during his 2.5 year stay. The activities and snacks were extremely creative and well suited for the residents. And the food is way better than you'd expect...it is actually good. The decorations for special occasions were always fun and sometimes extravagant. The facility is very nice and the residents are content and well taken care of. They have numerous outdoor gathering spaces that are terrific for family visits and catching some fresh air. Maude is the Director and is kind-hearted and very easy to work with.

Our mother has resided at Parkland Memory care for almost a year and a half. Have been phenomenal. The love and care they show for the residence is evident. They continuously attempt to keep the residents engaged and as active as possible. The facility itself is lovely and the courtyard is wonderful and provides access to fresh air, plants, and sunshine. We will keep Mom here until she passes away. The support staff shows for the families is also wonderful! I appreciate Maurie and her team. They have made difficult decisions relating to my mother, more palatable and with their full support. I highly recommend Parkland Memory care for people with dementia.

My family and I are incredibly grateful for the exceptional care and support provided at Parkland. The team there truly set a gold standard for memory care for my mom. From the very beginning, we were impressed with their attention to detail and the warmth of the staff. The Parkland facility itself was well-maintained with a peaceful and home-y atmosphere. Every time we visited, the staff were compassionate and dedicated, whether it was a weekday, weekend, morning, evening, or, at the end, overnight. They not only showed the expertise required for memory care, but also the genuine love and understanding to provide personalized care to each resident. The activities and programs at Parkland were not only engaging but also designed to stimulate cognitive function and bring joy to the residents' lives. My mom's personality and quirks were known by each staff member who treated her with kindness and respect. The communication with Parkland staff was exceptional. We were kept informed about my mom's well-being, given updates about her health and needs, and provided resources and guidance at each step of the journey. Parkland coordinated her transition to hospice care, which was provided on site by a different amazing team, which I will review separately. Choosing Parkland was one of the best decisions we made for my mom. We could not have asked for a better place for her to live her last year. I highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking a caring, professional, and supportive environment for a loved one. Thank you, Parkland, for the excellent care you provided, and for bringing peace, comfort, and patience to our family during a challenging time. Your commitment to memory care shines brightly.

My dad stayed at parkland for almost 1 year. We found their service to be very helpful. If you have a loved one with dementia it is so hard. Of course the care is never as good as they might receive at home but that level of care is so hard for a spouse or family member to maintain. The team approach to care is much better on everyone. When my dad got there we weren’t sure if it would be good for him. We were amazed to see him perk up from all the interaction he was getting. He started talking again. I would recommend Parkland memory care if you have a loved on struggling with Alzheimer’s or dementia. Thank you parkand for taking such good care of Darrell!

Parkland Memory Care has been GREAT to work with. I have had a handful of our clients that have lived at Parkland. The care has been top notch and the communication with the management has been great as well. What I like most is having the ability to talk directly with the management with any issues that my client's were facing and then to have them correct those immediately. My mother in law and father in law both live at Parkland Memory Care. The facility is very beautiful and brand new! I have attached several photos. The staff truly care- as a Registered Nurse, I can tell ! They hired people who love what they do. The facility has a van for the residents to take field trips, which is very important (see photo) there is also a hair salon on the premises. My mother in law always has a fun manicure each time I visit ( different colors or holiday theme). There are plenty of activities ( see attached photo of artwork) . When we visit, we can eat a meal with my mother and father in law for a nominal fee. If you are looking for a memory care center for your loved ones, look no further than Parkland Memory Care Center! We moved MIL over to Parkland from another memory care facility when Parkland opened in October, both because of the closer proximity to family as well as their fee structure which better suited our needs. Although her previous facility was really good, Parkland has compared quite favorably. First, the staff is highly responsive, not only to the resident's needs, but takes the initiative to keep family updated on MIL's activities. The sporadic emails of photos of MIL at activities is such a nice touch! The staff is also very proactive with suggestions and solutions to any issues so that we can improve MIL's quality of life. Additionally, it's good to see that the staff is very patient and kind with all the residents in their responses to the quirks that arise with memory care residents. Second, the facility itself is quite spacious, well-lit, and very tastefully decorated. The layout is very conducive to encouraging residents to enjoy and congregate in the common areas. The staff is very conscientious about keeping the residents' rooms as clean as possible despite the spills that happen. Third, the activities coordinator is creative and provides creative, meaningful activities to keep the different levels of residents engaged. Parkland has been such a good fit for MIL.

This place is very welcoming and has a good feel from the way that they care for their patients and do activities including everyone to make it feel like a big family. I’m really happy for my grandma getting the care she needs while being able to enjoy others and have community. Another thing I wanted to point out that is one cool thing they get to do is once a month they get a spa day! They have a hairdresser come in and a nail salon lady to do their hair and nails and it’s so cool that they do that for the patients. If I could give this facility 10 stars, I would. Parkland is a beautiful brand new facility and it has a very homey feel to it. I always feel welcomed when I arrive for visits. My family is so beyond impressed with all the workers, administration, and the facility itself. I have both my grandparents here and we had an awful experience with their last facility so we're over the moon and totally trust them with our loved ones. They are incredibly reliable and attentive to all their residents. I think some places label themselves as "memory care," but they play fast and loose with what that actually means in regard to the approach of their care. Most other facilities that offer memory care are split into 1) Assisted Living 2) Memory care and even 3) Independant Living. I loved that Parkland focused solely on memory care. Its comforting knowing that all their residents struggle with similar issues as my grandparents. You can tell their staff has training and they're extremely patient. They also have 24 hr RN's, traveling physicians at no extra cost and their caregiver/resident ratio is marvelous. They're also more accommodating than other facilities that I've had experiences with. The last place I had them at didnt engage them whatsoever, they sat on the couch all day and watched "Golden Girls," and then they were upset that my grandpa was difficult to redirect at night when his Sundowners would kick in. They ended up kicking him out and I was so nervous about finding a place that would tolerate some of his dementia related behavioral issues and I found THE place. They do different activities all day long so that they're engaging their residents. They take field trips as well and I know they love getting out in the world again. Throughout the search for a place for them to live, I became realllllly annoyed that you were forced to tour every facility and give them the runaround before you could find out that whichever place you were visiting was out of your price range. If you're looking for two elderly folks, it really adds up quickly! I signed the lease the day that I toured because I believed the care they were going to receive and the price point they were offering were too amazing to pass up. Their pricing is amazing and the care they get is top notch. Send your loved one here, I highly recommend them 🙂

  • Schedule a tour and visit the physical location to make sure community description is accurate.
  • Confirm with community manager that living and services required for you or your loved one's unique needs and budget are met.
  • Check with state government websites for additional provider licensing and information.

If there is any information that is inaccurate or needs to be updated, please contact Assisted Living Center.

Assisted Living Center uses the term "assisted living" or "personal care" to inform users that a community provides assistance with some Activities of Daily Living (ADL's). It may not meet your state's legal definition required for that level of care.
