As a business owner myself I have continued to be impressed with the level of service, the quality of care, cleanliness of the facility and the constant communication that this senior living facility provides. My Dad has been a resident there for almost 2 years and things continue to get better and better. We researched and visited many facilities here in the valley before deciding on this one as my Dad has previously been at another community that was not a place I would recommend. Gardens of Ocotillo stand far above the rest and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place for their loved ones. Even through the crazy Covid year they have been absolutely AMAZING and their transparent communication has been greatly appreciated. Each time I am there it is so obvious how much they love each one of their residents. I have several friends whos parents are in other communities in the valley and unfortunately they dont have great things to say and its such a shame. I am so great full for everyone who works there and cares so much for my sweet Dad. 5+ stars all around to them.

My Grandmother and I toured the Gardens at Ocotillo in hopes to find her a new apartment home. First thing I noticed when walking in was the interactions between the care staff and people living there. It was such a warm and friendly vibe that made us feel very comfortable right away. Our sales rep, Steve, encouraged us to sit down and try some of their food which was delicious. The Gardens was a very lively community and made you forget about what was going on outside of the community during this hectic 2020.

I would give 6 stars if I could! The Gardens of Ocotillo is so great with my grandpa Bob. I was so hesitant with finding the right fit for my family but I couldnt be happier. Besides the fact that its beautiful and up-kept, the staff here really does love what they do. Its such a community feel which is rare for these places! I used to work in several locations being a caregiver, so I can say first hand how great the people here are! Everyone seems to know everyone, and the energy is always so positive and warm. If youre looking for a peaceful, inviting, engaging place for your loved one... this is it!

It is unusual to find so many residents that stop in the halls to say hello. They seem very engaged in the community. Call lights seem to be answered quickly and the nursing staff is on top of things. Lots of activity and the food is good!

My father originally came to Gardens for 30 days of respite care in June of 2018. In October the same year he decided to make it his permanent residence. I have great peace of mind having him there and close to my home in Chandler. Tami, the director obviously loves what she does and has always been there to answer my questions and help my father when Ive needed something special. She is just one of the great assets to Gardens. Irene, Andrea and Leah are also solid caregivers that never hesitate to answer my questions or help with any requests as well. They all take the time to make my father and the other guests feel welcome and individually important. There are numerous activities available for all residents, shuttle service to shopping if needed, two restaurants to dine in, a lounge and a bistro to enjoy any time. One of the best features that gives me comfort is the emergency button all residents wear, he has used it many times and received the assistance he needed as soon as possible, this is so important as our parents get older and need additional help at times. We had numerous choices of where my father wanted to move; he chose Gardens, and I am glad he did.

I visited the Gardens of Ocotillo and was immediately impressed. Of course their building is beautiful, but what impressed me the most was the staff interaction with their residents, the smiles on the residents faces and you could truly see the staff loves what they do. I was toured by Dave and he was kind and warm. He knew the residents names and as he toured me he would always greet his residents as they passed by. I would definitely recommend this community if your looking for a place that will keep your loved engaged and happy.

Normally dont write reviews but this resident care and their staff really do show their appreciation. My mother is in memory care and is having a difficult time at the moment. Care staff Juan and Lizeth are consistently coming into my mothers room making sure she is doing okay bringing her anything she needs, making sure she is comfortable in bed, and really just giving her a little company so she doesnt feel alone. It is a difficult time for us right now but we are so grateful for such wonderful and caring staff like these 2. Thank you so much Gardens.

Look no further; this is the perfect place for you or your loved ones to live. I found this community for my parents, and they have lived in both assisted and independent apartments, either way, you cannot go wrong. The staff here is accommodating and friendly. They know and care about all of the residents. The apartments are beautiful, and the property includes a pool, a few different types of rec rooms, a gym, movie theater, and a library. The staff ensure there are a wide variety of activities each day, movies, trivia, bowling on the Wii (surprisingly popular), bingo, arts and crafts, themed meals, happy hours, various outings, etc. Theyve even been known to have specialists come in for hands-on assistance with handheld devices for residents. I really cant say enough how grateful I am for the Gardens at Ocotillo and their staff.The precautions theyve taken to ensure residents have been safe during COVID has been outstanding. Meals to their rooms ( based off the resident ordering from a menu in advanced), regular communications including town hall meetings from the doorways of their apartments, no non-essential outside visitors, etc. Im happy and comfortable with my family being a member of this community.If youre looking for yourself or a family member, I highly recommend visiting this community.

My Father and I visited the Gardens at Ocotillo because Dad needs some extra help now and could use some friends instead of just watching TV all day. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly lady who went on to tell us how she has lived there the last 3 years and how happy she was. She was so cute! Then Tami visited with us and took Dad and I on a tour of the apartment rooms. The facility was so lovely and smelled delicious (it was lunch time). Tami took her time with Dad asking him what his hobbies were and assured him he would meet others with the same interests which I found very comforting. I felt guilty at first for pushing my Father to leave his home of over 35 years for a retirement home, but now I wish I had done this sooner after finding the Gardens at Ocotillo 🙂

The Gardens & Staff are Great!Our mother has lived at the Gardens for almost 2 years. Recently she moved to a new larger apartment. The staff, especially Tammy Ojwang, Executive Director, was helpful, expeditious and efficient throughout the entire process. She kept us informed at each step of the process, ensuring my mothers care and happiness with the change was paramount, keeping the family fully informed. What a wonderful place. My father-in-law moved here from an assisted living warehouse in Florida. He was unable to eat on his own or even get out of bed when he got here. Within a month the staff had him getting up every day with a big smile and eating in the dining room 3 times a day. He passed away after a year but he said many times how he wished he had moved there years earlier. Fantastic caring staff, excellent food, clean fun place, all around top notch. I want to move there when I finally need to have assisted living.

I went in with a family member on a weekend afternoon to see a loved one who lives in the Memory Care unit. One caregiver, Lizette, really showed her love for caring for residents. I walked in to go see my family member while she was making the bed, picking up trash, and pretty making sure the room looked absolutely spotless! After she went around interacting with the residents making sure they were okay. Really melt my heart seeing such great staff members looking after my family member and others! So many amazing staff members! Really recommend this facility to anyone looking for the proper care for a loved one.

I have been to many communities with clients and it is not always an easy process. It is very easy to make promises but it is not always easy to keep them. Not only did Dave put the client and family at ease as soon as we started talking even though she was super anxious but he followed through with each promise that he made on the tour once the client moved in. I could not be more impressed with the current care that is being given and the atmosphere in which that client is living in. I have since spoken with him about other clients and this community is prompt with communication, is wonderful with follow up yet not pushy and delivers on what they say that they are going to do. I highly would recommend Gardens at Ocotillo!

We spent six months looking into facilities that offered assisted living choices for our 95 year old mother. We looked online and visited many facilities in the area. We chose the Gardens at Ocotillo for a number of reasons and have not been disappointed.There was never a hard sell, which we appreciated. The facility is gorgeous and there are beautiful seasonal touches throughout the common areas. Moms apartment is perfect for her. She even has her own washer and dryer in the apartment! The caregivers and staff are incredibly kind to Mom and truly love what they do. If Mom rings the buzzer, somebody promptly shows up to assist her.Our goal is for Mom to get the help she needs, but to do as much for herself as she is able. The staff has made that happen. She gets the help she needs, which might be different one day from the other. We have been able to specify what daily and weekly needs work for her. Mom is very sharp, so if something isnt working, she would tell us!Mom loves to dine. Cloth napkins and a beautiful dining room with a full menu is available. She can order off the menu or from the two specials of the day. The dining staff seems to know just what special touch is needed for each resident.Activities are numerous! There are special events on a regular basis…singers and professional groups come to the facility for seasonal entertainment. Once each month there is an extra special dinner that is focused on a certain color. Residents dress up and seem to love the special evening. Mom goes to exercise class during the week, and has a standing appointment at the hair salon. When she needed physical therapy, she was able to get quality rehab at the facility, which was very helpful to her.The facility is large enough to find people who Mom enjoys, but small enough where the caregivers and staff know Mom.We have had great communication with the caregivers and administrators.Our extensive search has been successful! Mom has now been at the Gardens at Ocotillo for 16 months. She originally told us she lived at the Meadows…and wed know she was home when she called it the Gardens. Its been the Gardens for over a year!

No matter what your status is in the community we are all one. There couldnt be a better staff. Circumstances prevented my parents from moving into the Gardens of Ocotillo, but the staff exceeded my expectations for the support and care they provided my family when my mother was moved from home to another Spectrum property in Illinois. Dan Carter in Sales was particularly instrumental in helping us in the transfer of paperwork and support toward her move to Lombard Place in Lombard, IL. Both the Gardens of Ocotillo and Lombard Place have shown our family to have compassionate, caring people on staff in clean facilities. My mother is well-cared for at Lombard Place, but if it had worked out for her to live at Gardens of Ocotillo, it would have been a positive move for her, I am sure.The Spectrum Company offers quality senior living for its residents.
