Over 2 visits, weeks apart, we found an amazing level of positive engagement by the assisted living staff with residents. Staff looks for opportunities to interact, not waiting for a resident to ask. Vacuuming hallway rugs was the job but that didn't stop the cleaner from noticing a resident's facial expression, turning the vacuum off, saying to the resident, "You look like you would like to say something." Sure enough, there was concern enough to then fetch a caregiver to attend to the resident. Patient, respectful and gentle assistance is as good any we've ever seen and in fact, much better than most. The facility is well cared for, meals and meal service are very good and not rushed. Staff has reason to be proud of their care accomplishment and satisfied residents. This is an assisted living achievement that must be seen to be appreciated fully. Highly recommended.

Bria, a nurse, took time from her lunch last Sunday to show me the Assisted Living facility. My sense is that Elmcroft of Maumelle is exceptional; my favorite among the several care centers I have been involved with for my mother and now for my long time friend. The staff, including Laura Dickerson, were both proud of their many years of employment. The very large main area at the entrance, with windows all area, was calm and inviting, due to an interesting architectural design and updated decor. There is much creativity in the variety of activities available. I was especially impressed with physical therapy program centered around an monthly international "walk through a country." In essence, I believe my friend would be able to maintain, if not imp[rove her overall level of functioning when she arrives at Elmcroft of Maumelle. I sincerely thank you for your outstanding commitment to our elderly.

Elmcroft of Maumelle is pretty much state of the art. If you're going to go and look at an assisted living facility, it serves as a benchmark. They have very nice facilities, the rooms are good, and the activities are good. The people are topnotch and professional. It has memory care and a close medical staff that's able to help the patients transition from assisted living to more complete care. We saw a doctor and medical personnel seeing patients and checking up on them. It's a nice place to live and it has good facilities. They have concerts and they play music.

I have had the blessing and the privilege of working at Elmcroft of Maumelle since October 2011. I started out on an as needed basis and went full time after four months of being able to be with my daughter for the first four months of her life. This place has been so much more than just a workplace. From the very moment I walked in to the community to be interviewed, I felt the warmth and the feeling of being at home. They have given me the opportunity to grow and learn as a nurse and I truly learn something new every day. The residents and their families and also my co-workers have all become an extension of my family, as we see them more than we see our own families at home. Our team comes together to find solutions to any issues that arise and solve them collectively, from the CNAs to the administrator. It is such a joy to come to work every day to see and interact with, first and foremost, the residents and then to work with my co-workers to achieve the common goal of providing excellent resident care. Elmcroft of Maumelle has truly taken care of me and I am forever indebted to the kindness of our residents, our residents' families and to our corporation. Without them, I don't know where I would be in my life journey. I'm sure a lot of you believe I am just saying this just for hype, but I truly love this place. As long as they have me on their team, I'm on theirs, and hopefully that's until retirement. This is home to me. Come see us. We will be glad you have you!

Following the death of her husband and due to her dementia, we knew my M-I-L would not be able to live alone. We were so happy to find Elmcroft. We saw immediately during the on-site tour that it was a wonderful facility with a fantastic staff. They treat their residents with respect and offer a full range of activities. They take the time to get to know their residents and their families, which made her transition very smooth. After two years, we still feel the same. Their attention to detail with regard to the care they provide their residents is second to none. To know that our family member is so well cared for and that she is happy and content means everything to us, truly a burden lifted. We whole-heartedly would recommend Elmcroft of Maumelle to anyone in need of an assisted living facility for their loved one.

After taking over the care of mom two plus years ago, and being in and out of the hospital and rehab, I can honestly say that they take better care of her here than anywhere else she's been. The nurses and staff truly care for the residents, and stay on top of their medical care - often times calling me about something before I even knew it was going on. The activities are engaging and entertaining and there are lots of opportunities for the residents to get out and about in the community. If you need care for a loved one, I encourage you to go visit - you'll be glad you did!

Elmcroft of Maumelle was the first facility I visited when I began my search for a place that I thought my mother could be happy, When I stepped out of my car during my first visit, I smelled 'my mama's meatloaf!' After visiting several other facilities, the good food and 'family nature' of the staff helped me choose Elmcroft. My mother has been seriously ill, almost since the first day she moved in. However, the nursing staff has been on top of any change in her health and/or behavior, and their recommendations have been 100% on target and have no doubt prolonged her life! Every staff member I have encountered, from the director to the janitors, have asked about Mama’s health and when she would be coming ‘home. ’As she prepares to leave rehab, she is looking forward to seeing all her friends and getting back home. Any time a lady who has lived in the same house and neighborhood for 55 years can adapt and call a new place 'home,' they have to be doing something right! I highly recommend this facility.

My grandmother was a recent resident there. Though her stay was short due to illness she was cared for with a sharp eye and caring heart. We visited this community before their recent update and it was beautiful but now it is not only modern, it still has that homey feeling when you walk in. I did not ever notice any smells when i was there visiting. The staff is always pleasant and very caring. If something needed addressed then it was done in a timely manner. The food was excellent and I say this because my granny was very picky and she loved it. I want to thank all the staff at Elmcroft for all that they did and could do for her.

My grandmother is in Elmcroft of Maumelle. My overall impression was good. Her room is nice and spacious. They have meals and activities, a doctor comes in, and they have a physical therapy room. They have Bingo, people come in to sing, and they make arts and crafts. The staff is nice. They have a courtyard, and it's all on one level.

It was a good tour. Elmcroft of Maumelle was one of my favorite places that we looked at. We have chosen another place because it was so far away from us, and this was the only reason. Elmcroft of Maumelle was the best place I visited. It wasn’t too big; it was just the right size to be around people and also have your own little room, and it had a homey appearance. It had a lot of activities, which I thought would be good for my father. It was probably also the best priced, which was good.

Elmcroft was older but very clean. The staff was very friendly and adequate. The patients were all happy. It was laid out very nicely, too. I was impressed. There were several ladies at a big, round table playing cards and interactions between the patients and staff. They had a bus service with which they took the patients out to eat, to the movies, and to see Christmas lights. They are there for a reason and are in the right business. There wasn't an odor. It was clean.

Our experience at Elmcroft of Maumelle has been quite positive. It's a small place, my mother can get around, and the people have been helpful to her. They helped with finding doctors and getting to doctor's appointments. The food is good, and they have several activities for the people. My mother's room is a single room with a bathroom, a microwave, and a refrigerator.

Elmcroft of Maumelle is very nice, and we really like it. They take them places. My dad is still able to go and do some stuff, so he likes that, and they have a little garden out in the middle where he can go to. The staff is very nice. They keep the grounds very nice. The room is a good size, and he has his own bathroom that’s handicapped accessible.

We went to visit Elmcroft of Maumelle, and everybody was so helpful and seemed really concerned about the residents. The dining area was formal dining. They have a very attractive fireplace. They told us that groups come in to sing, and they have trips to take the residents out shopping.

Elmcroft of Maumelle was awesome. They had regular assisted living and an area for advanced dementia, and both had similar activities and amenities. The staff seemed extremely caring. I was really impressed with it. If we could have afforded it, we would have put mother there. But it was just way beyond what we could do, even with her finances. The rooms were really nice. You could use either their furniture, which they had on stock, or bring in your own. Everything about Elmcroft is beautiful. It was just gorgeous.

This is a very nice, upscale facility. My grandmother was only able to stay here for a brief period of time, as her dementia and health rapidly worsened and she required care in a different facility. However, she enjoyed her time at Elmcroft of Maumelle, and, as a family, we felt that she was living in a secure, caring environment. Elmcroft does provide memory care in a separate area, and the staff is very supportive of its residents. Safety clearly is a priority throughout the facility. Residents and their visitors are well-monitored; however, the facility is so nicely maintained and provides so many amenities that it feels like a home, not an old folks prison. Visiting areas are welcoming, and the menus in the dining room are appealing enough to stay for dinner. I am pleased to see that Elmcroft offers respite care, as well. This is a crucial service of which many caregivers often are reluctant to take advantage, but I could imagine being at ease leaving my loved one here for a short period of time without fearing that he or she would feel abandoned or neglected.
