Our mother was a resident at Seagrass Village of Gulf Shores for almost 5 years. She lived in both an Independent Living apartment and an Assisted Living unit. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff, facility and services provided at Seagrass Village of Gulf Shores. Seagrass Village is a beautiful facility with a caring staff, excellent amenities, a variety of social programs and comprehensive support services. When our mother moved in to her Independent Living apartment, she was welcomed immediately by the residents and she developed many new and caring friendships. She took full advantage of the many social programs and lead an active and full life while she was in good health. Due to declining health, we made the decision to moved her into an Assisted Living unit. This allowed her to take advantage of the additional health support services; medication management, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, fall assistance, multiple daily check-ins, laundry, etc. The beauty of moving her to Assisted Living was not only the professional health care she received, but since she was still in the same building, she was able to maintain friendships with all of her social buddies. Unfortunately she suffered a stroke and after weeks of rehab, we had to make the decision to move her to a skilled nursing facility. After looking at several area skilled nursing facilities, we were very disappointed with our options. We then asked Seagrass Village of Gulf Shores if she could return to an Independent Living apartment and could we hire in Home Health Care professionals to attend to her needs 24/7. The staff at Seagrass Village said yes, and it was like a weight was lifted off our shoulders. She was able to move back into a familiar place, surrounded by her friends and a caring staff that wanted nothing but the best for her as she lived out the remainder of her life. If you are looking for a caring Senior Living Facility that has both Independent Living apartments and Assisted Living units under the same roof, we highly recommend Seagrass Village of Gulf Shores. The staff are excellent, caring professionals, who are committed to servicing the needs of their residents. The amenities are plentiful and the health support services are exactly what residents need to live a full and productive life.

Lisa Morelli is an amazing nurse. She has been promoted to Director of Resident Services since we were there. Congratulations Lisa! Lisa is very caring and very knowledgeable. We were only there for a couple months as snowbirds but she made sure everything was taken care of and that things flowed smoothly. She always has a smile and a kind word for all. One of the most helpful and caring persons I’ve ever met Seagrass is a beautiful facility. Love the high ceilings and all the open spaces to gather, or sit and relax.

Choosing Seagrass Village Gulf Shores for my mother was the best decision! It is a beautiful well maintained facility with the most friendly,caring staff. There are so many activities to help the residents engage with each other. My mother’s needs are met from Dr. Visits to meds and this has been a great blessing to no longer have to worry about all that has to be done for her care. Lisa Morelli is always available to answer any questions I have and she has been so helpful. I would recommend Seagrass Village to anyone.

Everyone I met on my tour was extremely friendly. I really enjoyed visiting with many of the residents. They all seemed very happy. My grandson and I had lunch there and it was very tasty. Praying this will be a great transition for me.

Today Seagrass village had a Cozumel theme cruise day and I set up paparazzi jewelry so the residents could shop and purchase beautiful five dollar jewelry. The set up was so beautiful. All of the vendors had items the residents could purchase. The food was delicious, the music was great and the overall atmosphere was amazing!

At age 73 I fell and broke my femur. I was unable to enter my home, due to steps, so I resided at Sea Grass for 5 months while recovering from the break and surgery. Sea Grass residents and staff were so hospitable making me welcome from day one! It was hard being away from home, but Sea Grass Gulf Shores was able to provide my every need!! The staff was so very kind, friendly and professional. Food and the dining room experience was very nice, unlike typical institutional dining. We had a variety of choices if the daily special was not to your liking. There were activities of all types and the residents were given the opportunity to provide input into the activities they would enjoy. I would highly recommend Sea Glass for independent and assisted living !

My father was 98 years old when he moved into Seagrass Village of Gulf Shores. He needed some extra care and the staff of Seagrass went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure my dad was cared for. The care and concern given daily to my dad was awesome. These people really care about the well being of each resident. Seagrass Village gives you the feeling of a home not an institution.
